Christ is God. Follow Him, but don't try to be Him. If not for God's forgiveness you would have no reason for being...

Your suit and your Sunday morning circle of friends do not make you above reproach...

If your minister doesn't define Christianity, you're probably in the wrong church...

If you need two versions of the Bible to be a member, then you're definitely being lied to...

Remember! If not for the Word of God, even the elect would be fooled. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess because, when He returns, THERE WILL BE NO DOUBT!

ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!

perfection in Christ is to have this mindset

“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him,

not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law,

but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:

but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:8-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have got to stop thinking we’re already finished and start striving toward the goal perfection is inside of us when we become followers we realize we’re not perfect by our own deeds we still can make mistakes

but there is nothing that will ever keep us from pressing towards Christ and the highest calling of being worthy to be called the children of the most high God .

Christ is our example to follow after and we’re not going to ever be as perfect as Jesus , but we can always learn of him and press forward in that faith we learn

Faith itself is a gift! No man can boast!

It bothers me how convoluted and misleading everything has become in the name of "inclusion" and "equity" and "political correctness"... Faith and the Word should be unifying people and nationalities today. Instead, politicians will use Christianity as an example of divisiveness, bigotry, and racism... And what do you find in most churches? More divisiveness among the denominations! More preaching about profit! More politics!

I'm sorry if I sound pessimistic and down, but I really do believe the rapture is near! We shouldn't be arguing! We believers should be celebrating on sites like this!

It is foretold by Daniel that during the last days those with understawnding will be few and also that the saints will be scattered.

All of the disagreement you mention is simply fulfilling these teachings. It is also written that the children will be called out of her, that Great Harlot on seven hills. It stands to reason if she is the mother of harlots, the children will be called out of them with the others. I refer to harlots as false churches, assemblies, synagogues, and all denominations.

I include all denominations for they do not agree on doctrine, and the only doctrine a believer may truely derive would be that of the Word.

“Faith and the Word should be unifying people”

amen but it does unify believers of the word that’s where genuine faith comes from

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭

hearing the word is the only thing that builds faith in us . We need to grasp the concept that each of us doesn’t have the same knowledge of scripture we have t all heard the same words . We believe differently because people preach differently and that’s because they are all at different stages of revelation and understanding

I think that this part is really important Christ is personal he comes to live in each one who believes and some are 80 have been believing and learning for years they are wise beyond others that are 20 and are just starting to grow the proper ears so they can hear the word and have faith rooted in thoer hesrts

I think one of the worst things we do for each other is try to make everyone else accountable for what we know. And try to take what we have heard and understood and judge others who don’t know the same things with our understanding

Your faith does NOT make you perfect...
What saith the Scripture? But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works (Romans 4:5,6)

Whatever else you may have in mind, your title contradicts Scripture. God imputes righteousness to the one who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a very important Gospel truth.

The things that are making you pessimistic should make you hopeful, make you look up for your redemption draweth near. There's no real problem with denominations, do you want to go back to Roman Catholicism?

get in among the happy throng.

This is equivalent to throwing the baby out with the bathwater. No we shouldn't go over to Catholicism. But by the same token we shouldn't every person do what's right in their own eyes. These are two ends of the same error.

You are not alone in your frustration politicians have poisoned the world and the church with it and everyone is so caught up in being politically correct even Christians. common sense has long since taken it's flight and honestly it amazes me the level of stupidity people have shown I honestly was taken aback because I honestly didn't think people were this dumb and so easily influenced just because of their political stance.

We as believers are in a time where need to take the lead and charge forth showing righteousness justice and godly form being holy and perfect in our mindset keeping out hearts and minds on Christ showing the world what real justice is and what real good standing is. We are in the end times and love has indeed waxed cold the rapture may very well be near in fact I am truly hoping for it. I find it odd that I am so young yet my soul is so weary as if I was old it isn't even because life is hard I wonder sometimes if my soul somehow knows the time to go home is near and that is why I feel so weary and homesick

If a person believes the LORD and trusts in the Atonement the Lord secured by his death on the cross then that person is Deemed Perfect by the LORD because they have the LORDs perfection covering them..

So yeah all glory and honor and boasting are to and for the LORD.. But we are deemed perfect even while we are living imperfect lives in our imperfect bodies in this imperfect world..

"NOTHING"!!
That's the point...
We are not gods! Unless compared to animals...
I look around today and think, this is how arrogant Nimrod must have been. No one is ignorant, and no one is humble...

I see, thanks for clarifying.

How do you interpret Hebrews 10:14?

"For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified."

I understand faith and forgiveness...
I question whether most men will bow!
Do we not serve God's will by serving each other?

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Well, it didn't take long.

justbyfaith, once again you're letting you KJV onlyism get between you and truth. The Greek ἁγιαζομένους (hagiazomenous) is a verb. If you're not familiar with verbs, they show action. It's not "are sanctified" but "are being sanctified." Even the NKJV recognized the KJV error.

You need to give up your ridiculous obsession with KJV onlyism; you're embarrassing yourself.

It bothers me, worries me that saying "Christ died for your sins" has become a platitude...
The God of Creation humbled Himself before His own creation... even unto death on a cross!!
How much more should we, not only humble ourselves before God, but also each other...

Look at the context of Hebrews 10:14 in Hebrews 10:10. And you will see what it says,

Heb 10:10, By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

That we are sanctified; not that we are being sanctified.

And of course I was also not responding to your misquoting of Hebrews 10:14 in that post but was seeking to bring to bear on the situation what Hebrews 10:14 says.

I believe that you are letting your anti-kjv stance get between you and the truth.
