Your attitude toward my shoeness has shown slight improvement. But, I'm watching you, Mister!

I actually prefer jeans/sneakers too, but occasionally I need to release my feminine side. Usually at the firing range. :D

What would it take?

Something special about the girl I was dating.

Not just liking the same things but helping me be better at doing the same things, and, I helping her.
Wit. Must have wit.
Wisdom. must have wise words .
Shopping as a hobby would not go over well, but if its for business reasons (since I buy and sell things for a living) that's fine.
A something-something-something spark to her that lights my world on fire.
And, last, but really first, ;) , a personal relationship with Jesus and an understanding of the Holy Spirit and how God gave us a part of Himself, 24/7, to protect, guide, help lead us successfully through the everyday doings of life. (John the Baptist time of Jesus baptized is where HS mentioned as our helper).

In other words: what is it that stops you from getting married?
I haven't met the right person yet, and I don't want to be married to the wrong person. I've met plenty of wrong persons I could be married to by now.

That's probably the thread that binds us all, Stilly :) Though sometimes I wonder whether I've met the right person, but it's just not the right time.

Someone's always gonna have an issue with something...even something as awesome as firearms...feel free to send away. I won't be offended.

You can tell a good man by the amount of layers of plastic over his davenport.

Sometims I wish it was like that though. Can you imagine? I can.

"Amber, this is God. Marry that one over there. No the one to the left. No your other left. No! That one. The one in the blue shirt. I said blue not turquoise. NO. Listen carefully. That one right there to the left in the blue shirt and khakis, wearing the baseball cap, 6'2, 215, brown eyes. Seriously Amber, you don't see him? Ugh, nevermind, forget about it."

Jajaja!!

Sometimes I think it'll take something like this for me too!

Or perhaps the wrong person isn't so wrong at all...Are we just all too picky?

I'm sorry. When did this become the Grumpy Old Singles forum?
Pardon us, Nuke. It's what Stilly and I do. We try to see who can come up with the worst ole folks jokes. HE started it by mocking my countryisms! :)

The Barcalounger thing has been on my mind all week because they were talking about them on the Bob N Tom Show on the radio the other morning (yes...I know I need to repent for listening to that, but I was surfing and it was funny) and was remembering the one my dad had. It was the most disgusting piece of furniture ever...

Well, we should all be picky, shouldn't we? I mean it IS for a LIFETIME. :)

Sometimes circumstances interfere with what you want for a time, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will never happen.

Look at Jacob and Rachel for example. :)

Well, you may have legwarmers right out of Dirty Dancing, but Stilly's still older by bringing up fashion tips from Saturday Night Fever.

For the record, Bob and Tom rock.

Shoot, I was hoping you'd convince me to run right out and marry the first human, plant, or mineral I came across. Way to be supportive there, Jullianna. ~goes and doublechecks my 'perfect wife checklist'~

Plant or mineral, eh?? Since when did those become viable marriage options?
