Rom 4:8

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

This applies to everyone Christ died for, because He was imputed with their sins, and so they are not ! Because of that, they acquitted from all sin, by non imputation.
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

That God's purpose of mercy embraced all mankind, and not an elect few, is again and again stated in Scripture

Again When Christ was raised it was because those whom sins He died for were Justified.
whew!!! good thing you "elect folks" came and "were Justified" ... otherwise, the Lord Jesus Christ would still be in the grave :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Act 2:24 Whom [the Lord Jesus Christ] God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he [the Lord Jesus Christ] should be holden of it [death].

Those Christ died for are Justified because God will not impute to them sin. You know why ?

Its crystal clear, Christ was raised again because of their justification, He put away all their offences. Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 4:25 is sandwiched between Romans 4:24 and Romans 5:1 ...

Romans 4:

24 But for us also, to whom it [righteousness] shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

A Declarative Justification !3

And thirdly, We know that His Death alone Justified them apart from their God given Faith because of the declaration of the resurrection, for since He died not for His own sins and offenses, but as the Representative of those He died for, He rose as that same Representative, and as He was declared acquitted or Justified for His Faithfulness unto death, His death not being for Himself, but for those he died in the stead of, then it was they which were discharged, acquitted and Justified, as declared by His Resurrection. Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for [because of] our offenses, and was raised again for[because of] our justification.

YLT 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous.

This Justification of those Christ died for, had nothing to do with them believing, repenting, or doing anything; In fact its True of them even while they are being enemies in unbelief ! To deny this, is to deny the Gospel of Grace, Salvation by Grace ! 6

Notice how he speaks of ungodliness in the past tense ? He’s not saying feel free to keep living that way because of grace of you continue on in those epistles you find instruction that leads to repentance and right living fulfilling the promise of righteousness by faith

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge ( hearing and believing the gospel of the kingdom )
after the image of him that created him:

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:5-10, 12-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the instructions about repenting from our old sinful ways and doing the new things walking in the good works the gospel sets before us is part of it all.

you have made good post here , I think if you let the rest of those epistles into your belief it will change what “ grace and faith “ means into a powerful effectual changing of the sinner into a child of God in deed and truth
We can't make this a reality until the truth of the opening post is made real to us, you cannot become righteous until God has made us righteous, you cannot become holy until God has made us holy ... He does this while we are yet unrighteous and unholy.

it seems like evil deeds we continue doing and don’t repent of will be what’s not left Unpunished

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:4-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it seems like our deeds in Christ are what we are going to be faced with and not whether we say we have faith or not but did we act in faith of not ?

Do you agree we’re going to be judged by our deeds and either have eternal life

Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

, or wrath , indignation , tribulation based on our continuance on doing the wrong things ?

“unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,”

so is faith just saying we’re justified or living that out in deed and truth repenting and walking in the good works of Christ ?
We are clear that those who are contentious and do not obey the truth but obey unrighteousness will receive indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish upon every soul that doeth evil.

So let everyone stop contending against the truth, instead let them obey the truth. What truth? righteousness is a bestowed thing not an earned thing. It is bestowed upon us when we were ungodly.

When people start contending these truths they fall into obeying unrighteousness and evil deeds follow.

Trying to earn righteousness is to be contentious ... stop doing that.

Right. But some people take their "God given Faith" (your term) and believe the lies of the adversary.

God provides all mankind with what mankind needs in order to turn to Him. Those who turn to God receive all the blessings and promises He has made.

God allows mankind to turn from Him ... those who turn from God receive the consequences of their foolishness.

Those who turn from God are the ones God refers to in Romans 1:18

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness

The words "who hold" are translated from the Greek word katechō which means to suppress, hinder, restrain.

God doesn't withhold anything from them ... He reveals truth to them ... they suppress the truth ... hinder the truth ... suppress the truth.

but thanks I’ll leave that path to others and Chios the one Christ sets before us

Declared to God given Faith ! 4

Now God given Faith, given in the New Birth, for Faith that Pleases God is not found in the natural man, to it is revealed their declared Justification by the Gospel sent to them Rom 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God[Our Justification] revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The word Righteousness and the Word Just are basically the same word in the original both derived from the word dikaios:

righteous, observing divine laws

a) in a wide sense, upright, righteous, virtuous, keeping the commands of God

1) of those who seem to themselves to be righteous, who pride themselves to be righteous, who pride themselves in their virtues, whether real or imagined

2) innocent, faultless, guiltless

3) used of him whose way of thinking, feeling, and acting is wholly conformed to the will of God, and who therefore needs no rectification in the heart or life

a) only Christ truly

4) approved of or acceptable of God

b) in a narrower sense, rendering to each his due and that in a judicial sense, passing just judgment on others, whether expressed in words or shown by the manner of dealing with them

The Knowledge of their Righteousness / Justification before God is revealed to them by the Gospel, and that this was an Matter of fact outside of themselves, and hence they now believe the Truth of it which is the Gospel of their Salvation Eph 1:13. The Gospel in the matter of Salvation is not sent to people to put them in a position to perform a duty or an act to get saved, but its to reveal or make known the Good News of what Christ has accomplished and Established on ones behalf; Because Christ was delivered up unto Death and Divine Justice in their stead and for their transgressions, and when the Law released Him, it was a notification of their discharge; and the Spirit enlightens all those Christ died for of their Justification by Christ's Righteousness charged to them, and so it comes to past that the Just shall live by Faith. The Spirit takes of Christ's [ What He accomplished via His Death / Blood for them]and shows it to them or reveals it to them in or by the Gospel; and it is then God given Faith receives, embraces, appropriates this REVELATION as their Justification and Righteousness before God, and now before their own purged conscience. Heb 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Striving for Christ? surely you are striving against Him. Paul said he had fought the good fight for faith.

Faith that is what we need, faith to BELIEVE that Christ will do His work THROUGH US .... He will not be able to do that if you are thrashing around like a bull in a china shop.

Just BELIEVE what the bible says Christ is our righteousness. When we believe it He will start to manifest His life in us.
