It would be art in the abstract. Yeah, I just might do this. You will take the blame though. :)
It's all about accountability and risk.

I observe that I have ZERO accountability to your wife, and y'all don't know exactly where I live so I have ZERO risk. So... Full steam ahead! :D

I'm sort of challenged separating the whites from colors. That's probably why I'm not allowed to do laundry very often. I really like that baking soda idea though to whiten clothing. Regarding the shirt, my honey got me a new T-shirt for Christmas. She said that she is going to start throwing away the ones with holes in them. I tend to keep my clothes for the longest time.
I wanted to say bicarbonate soda...but I am not sure if they are the same...🤔

apparently baking soda and vinegar is wonder cleaning solution for nearly everything.
If you dont have vinegar you could use lemon juice.

I got both white and apple cider vinegar. Now, I go to check the veggie drawer in the fridge to see if there are any lemons left. OK - all set, got 3 of 'em. Maybe if I squeeze a lemon in the wash, it will make the clothes smell lemon fresh.

Apart from midnight confessions this is my favourite thread.

No one is going to judge you if you do laundry. And everyone will have dirty laundry its a fact of life.

I need to wash my uniform cos I finished a job and have to give it back as wont be working there anymore. I could have given them my worn uniform and got changed right there in the workroom, but I thought I'd do the honorable thing and wash it first before giving it back.

Sometimes children leave their school uniform behind, and if it doesnt have their name on it and doesnt get claimed, its just going to get chucked. Even though the uniforms are expensive to buy...I dont think anyone really wants to wear one thats second hand.

Yeah, every peep has their own dirty laundry. :) Your sense of honor is most impressive.

I have a confession to make ....I gave back my uniform, I had two polo shirts, one had been washed but the other I didnt

I just wore it once for 4 hours though it couldnt have been that bad and I aired it
I dont think they give them to the next workers anyway they probably dump them or cut them up to use as rags.

They are the kind of uniform made from that polycotton jersey fabric that if you wash too much it fades, plus its black and attracts white fuzz if you put it in with whites

also it had printed on it tiny logos for facebook, youtube and twitter despite the company never using those platforms.

I like doing laundry I like hanging out the washing, I like taking it in but...I really hate making my bed.
Its getting all the corners and sheets tucked in under the mattress, and the duvet in inside the duvet cover. And folding sheets ugh.

But then, if I dont make my bed I cant lie in it.

Today is a day off from work so I might just run a load of laundry just to do something to be productive. I prefer using Bounce fabric softener sheets when drying instead of a liquid Downey in the wash.

Last night I helped my wife changed the sheets when making the bed. I'm not realliy a fan of fitted sheets because it is hard to determine which end goes where. Also, very problematic in the folding clean fitted sheets. My wife certainly has the knack for the proper folding though along with the other articles of clothing. I'm really challenged in the folding aspect of laundry except for maybe socks. Yeah, getting the corners and sheets tucked in properly can be a bit of a hassle.

i now have the elasticised sheet covers or what they call fitted sheets and i dont even bother with the top sheet as it always bunched up and came off!
In winter I just have extra blankets and sleep in dressing gown.
I was never 'tucked into bed' as a child so I dont know where that came from.

I dont care if the sheets are smooth and dead staight like hospital or hotel beds. Just so unnecessary, its not like I sleep naked.

Am I really a woman and I don't know it?

I never have had a problem with fitted sheets, either folding or applying to a bed, but I hear grumbling about it from all kinds of men, so now I'm confused about myself.

No worries, you are 100% a guy. I would say that you are handy in the kitchen too.

Since I have been married, I took it upon myself to wash the dishes each day. Of course, we have a dishwasher but even so, it is a lot of work placing each piece in a certain location in the wash racks, and then empty it and put each piece away in its approved location. Also, I am tasked to cook a couple or three times a month. Gonna make a pot of chili later this afternoon. Right now, I got a load of laundry in the dryer.

Maybe I'm a little confused about myself too. Something is not right. Hopefully, it's not contagious.

I don't care too much if the sheets are perfectly smooth either.

When I was single, I didn't use a top sheet at all. In fact, I didn't even have a bed, just slept on the floor on top of a mattress pad. Now, I could've easily afford buying a bed and mattress set but since it was just me sleeping on it, why bother? Once a week I would straighten out the sheet and blanket but didn't mess with it the rest of the week.

I guess deep down I'm a minimalist and prefer to keep things simple and functional. I have made it a point to travel light on my life's journey. Didn't see the need to get bogged down with a lot of material things.
