I don’t want to be a party pooper, but on the internet you don’t really know what motivates someone. I mean, I hope it’s all innocent but sometimes it isn’t. Maybe it’s better to not reveal too much about yourself until you trust the person asking?

Lots of threads lately asking people for pictures, where they are from, their interests, etc. If someone was data mining or aggregating information to build a dossier on people then they have a decent start.

Well that's why even though I would like to share my photo I am not going to. My church website has a distant photo of me, and I do need a photo on LinkedIn for professional reasons. Other than that no photos of me online except photos others have posted of me on FaceBook, unfortunately.

Me too. I have shared my photo with people I’ve come to know and trust online, but I’m really hesitant to give open access to anyone who stumbles upon this thread. It’s also possible to look up someone based off of the picture they share, but it usually needs to be an exact copy of a picture found on social media. For that reason when or if I share my picture it’s a unique picture that can’t be found anywhere else online.

My daughter has an app on her phone that takes a pic and analyses your skin then quotes your age.

My 19 yo grand it said she's 28 the second time 35 the first. Tans all the time.
She is beautiful!

My 43 yo daughter was quoted as being 28.
She also is very beautiful.

I'm 65 in June but it said I look 49, of which I have been told by real people that I look in my 40's.
I however am not beautiful. My daughter looks like her dad's people.

I have PEOPLE who'll do this to me. I hear from someone that I look 10 or 15 years younger than 57. Then, I have this tactless knucklebrain cashier tell me about the senior citizen discount.

I was always told that I looked ten years younger than I am, but then recently my daughter-in-law told me that if I dyed my hair, I'd look 60! That's impossible...I don't get 60!
