You all love this verse:

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

but you never read:

James 2:24
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

So works ...not the works like the pharisees ...the Works of JESUS:

John 14:12
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do;...

and to completely shut you down ...and show you who you really are:

Jde 1:4
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality...

Just another in the very long line of false accusations from you.

We know where this falseness originates :)

Paul and James were talking about two different forms of justification.

Both used Abraham as an example.

In the case of Paul, Abraham was justified in the sense that God accounted righteousness to him, because he believed what God had said. This has to do with Abraham's standing before God.

In James' case, however, Abraham was justified in the sense that he had works to show for his professed faith. That's why James said that Abraham showed his faith by offering his son Isaac on the altar. I should note though that James did mention Abraham's belief also and how it was accounted to him as righteousness.

Paul said that our works don't actually save us. James said that our works show the faith that we say we have.

Two different things.

Now the Tree is a city? Chapter and verse, please.
Yeash, ...The Kingdom of GOD has The Tree of LIFE.

Revelation 2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” ’

There is that word again "midst" ...The Trees of The Garden are in the midst.

“In the case of Paul, Abraham was justified in the sense that God accounted righteousness to him, because he believed what God had said. “

James and Paul weren’t at odds at all

James point is abraham did believe and it was imputed as righteousness but because he did believe he also always did what God told him to do, he knew it would happen because he believed so he always obeyed and that fulfilled the imputation of righteousness God had spoken beforehand.

James is just clarifying that faith doesn’t mean “ now I don’t need to do what God said because I believe what he said “ it’s a teaching about the works of faith. Believing God forst leads to
Obedience to what he says

“Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:22-24, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the message is we believe in Jesus and Gkd accepts us as if we have no sin , but then also we’re taught we must obey the lord believing his word like Abraham did

it’s evident more so when you consider the hall of faith in Hebrews

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

James example is when he sacrificed Isaac , he didn’t just say he believed he really did believe and so he always obeyed even when God tested his faith and called for Isaac to be sacrificed

but Abraham the believer who was called righteous also always obeyed when God told him what to do. He did this because he really did believed what God said. If we could come to hear what Jesus said me really believe it we would obey also like Abraham

or noah

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

faith always leads to believing what God said is true even if it’s not visable yet , and so we do what he says will bless us because we believe he’s telling us the truth.

Paul wasn’t against faith leading to and bringing us to do the right things infact everything he wrote was to bring Gentiles into obedience of the faith in word and also deed

“For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul and James go together for a better more complete teaching about faith and how we’re called righteous at the first but also are called to start living that righteousness by faith to bring faith to completion and bear fruit of the promise of righteousness.

the right belief and hearing what Jesus has said will save us , and believing it’s true is going to lead us into doing those things.

God has blessed us beforehand but calls us to obey him also , he’s even provided a propitiation for times we fail as we are following faith creates works and gives us strength to walk them out

That says nothing about the Tree of Life BEING a city.

You just can't get anything straight.

I spoke of the Tree of Life in Rev and you went off on one of your predictable rants.

Even Paul talks of this as something future.

For here we do not have a permanent city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

Something else you denied because you pervert the Word of God.

What do you think a city built without hands ...by GOD ...is talking about?

the tree of knowledge of good and evil is Egypt ...so why can't The Tree of LIFE be The Body of CHRIST ...The Kingdom?

Rev 22:2
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The born again have already overcome.

1 John 5:5

“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Sooo ...uhhhh, what did you Overcome? Cause it sounds like you still have repeated willful sin in your life.

Sooo ...uhhhh, what did you Overcome? Cause it sounds like you still have repeated willful sin in your life.
the knowledge of good and evil is the law of Moses ( Old Testament law ) that accuses of and imputes sin

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; in that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:15-18‬ ‭

We don’t want this frame of thinking

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it is to eat from the tree of good and evil and become guilty and have sin imputed

we want the tree of life , the other tree in the Bible the other testament the gospel the tree of life

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We want the opposite knowledge of repentance and remission of sins not accusation and imputation of them

This is the tree of life

“and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:46-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

your looking at this like your under Moses law and have to work according to sin fighting against sin only keeps it alive and conflict between good and evil

“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭

That is to be trapped in a body of death

“O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the answer is to just start eating from the tree of life , start believing the law of the spirit of life that sets us free from sin and death not to accuse people of being sinners that is to put them under the law again and begin feeding them the knowledge of good and evil again

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the gospel is the tree of life and law of the spirit of life to overcome sin we have to start eating the right fruit.

the law of the spirit of life

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That has no condemnation for those who walk after the spirit

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

once we start eating the right fruit we will start being the right people and growing by that fruit coming into freedom

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this though is an important fruit to eat from that tree of life the gospel

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s life in his word Jesus taught Gods children this principle because he understands we are yet imperfect

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there is life in that for a believer it’s given because Jesus was preaching to sinners calling them to a high high place of glory. Whenever our focus is on other peoples sins it’s because we’re eating from the wrong tree

whenever our focus is on the gospel and Jesus Christ it’s because we’re eating from the right tree

Because few read the thread (there was more than this involved):

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+31&version=KJV

Egypt is a tree in The Garden... Still think the trees of The Garden are two actual wooden trees?

8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty. 9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.

Hmmm, this is weird ...Egypt is a tree ...in the midst thereof:

Isa 19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

Egypt was the tree of knowledge of good and evil ...get it? He let His people go from it.

Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

He let His People free from slavery! It was foreshadowing of JESUS Freeing us from sin slavery!

No, Egypt was not a tree, but likened unto a tree, which was cut down to lie among the uncircumcised,
with those killed by the sword. “‘This is Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the Sovereign Lord."'

Where or how did you come up with this idea of some tree of knowledge?

It is not Biblical. Nor is it Biblical to say this tree in the garden of Eden is or was a city,
was the tree Jesus was crucified on which we must also get on, or was inherently evil.
