They don't seem to like us very much, do they...oh well. They need to hear the truth...other than Jesus died to make us rich!

You are so correct.
I will never relent the meaning intent of God's word.

New age religion...mostly on this and other forums....is nothing other than satan's attempt to change and destroy God's word.

Think again;
In that instance God would be Jewish and not believe in Christ.

Concluding your vision is applicable.....how do you propose to make that fit?
Point taken. God would be Hebrew. The idea posed is conceptual.
I'm all for YHWH with a different proper/unique identifying name.

by His (given?) Name.... now there's something to consider, isn't there?
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

Now that this thread is winding down, I guess that I should admit that at least part of my motivation to start it was because I think I smell a rat. I believe that Satan is an absolute master at deception. Jesus warned us in Matt 14.

truly is happened last year when my daughter told me that the school called her to complain that my grandson, Elijah, was disrupting and upsetting the other kids in school by telling them that Santa was not real.

She laughed at them.

It dawned on me that the actual deception is what Satan knows...
He knows our children are taught about Jesus' birth and all that goes along with that story.
At the same time, the same day, they are taught that Santa is coming with presents.
Now Satan knows that during a child's formidable years they will ultimately find out that Santa is a lie.
It would be difficult for a child that young to distinguish the truth of Jesus and the lie of Santa.
The normal reaction of the child is to Dismiss the ENTIRE idea. i.e. Jesus is a myth, too.
Later, the child will find out that Dec. 25th is not even Jesus' birthday and the reluctance to believe is edified.
There are many things we teach our innocent and believing children that we think are harmless.
Believe me, I pray, it ALL matters.

I also believe that this sort of deception is rampant in the body of Christ.
There is a deception even deeper than what we can easily see (the false flag).
It is wholly divisive in nature.

I have no illusions that what I personally believe is correct. In fact, I'm sure that aspects of my belief will surely change.
I have one rock of belief in Jesus Christ, the manifestation of God on earth, who, through pure Love, paid the penalty of death that I have surely earned in my life.

One day I was praying and meditating about where my life was heading.
A million trickling streams of water came into my head and said these exact words:
"If you need me, I will help you"and now, here I am.

Thus the need for proper approach to God's word by following study rules;

1) Take the Bible literally whenever possible...if typical, figurative or symbolic language is used then we must look for a literal interpretation it intends to convey..

2) Look for scripture which interprets scripture.

3) Do not spiritualize the Bible.

If these rues are not followed we get caught up in our knickers.

This is how I presently understand salvation...
I was saved...justification...spirit rebirth. "5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit." - John 3:5
I am being saved...sanctification...soul healing. "now that you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.' - 1 Peter 1:9
I will be saved...glorification...new body. "Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is." - 1 John 3:2
He who was...He who is...He who is to come. The Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. The author and finisher of my faith.
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2

His name is there, though you may have to read the whole book to know it!

"Elohim" has several meanings in the OT, one of which is "gods".

Instead of throwing shade at the NIV, perhaps you should study the Hebrew of Psalm 82:1 and 6, and of 1 Samuel 28:11-14.
Of what Bible? If not the 1611 KJV...I don't need it.
Not so as intended and used in scriptures. If so then God is unfair to charge idolatry.

Why did the 1611 KJV leave God's name out of Exodus 3:15? The Hebrew is clear as day: "God said moreover to Moses, 'You shall tell the children of Israel this, Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.' "

"Yahweh" is in the Hebrew. Why did the KJV leave it out? And don't say because the KJV is perfect and we can't question it.

Hi Brother David. Here is the same Isa 43:11 that you quoted in another translation: "I, even I, am Yahweh, and there is no other Savior but Me." Yahweh is our Savior! Yeshua, the Word of Yahweh, is One with Yahweh, and is the Great I AM Himself in the Flesh. Yeshua is our God and Savior and so is Yahweh.

If you read Revelation, the Angels sing Hallelujah. Hallelujah means, "All Glory be to Yahweh". That shows God can still be praised as Yahweh in the New Covenant. God said His Name Yahweh was for All Generations. There is thus no contradiction imho in Glorifying God as Yahweh, the Father, and Yeshua, the Son/Word, in the Unity of the Holy Spirit.

As we know, the Holy Trinity is YHWH, the Word of YHWH and the Spirit of YHWH. Psa 33:6 says "By the Word of Yahweh were the Heavens made, and all the Host (Angels) of them by the Breath (Spirit) of His Mouth (Word)". The Three Persons Who are One God are evident right from Genesis, for e.g. in Gen 18:1-3. Abraham sees Three Men but salutes Them as One Lord God, Yahweh. In the New Covenant, the Son was named Yeshua, because by His Incarnation, He had become our Savior. He is one with Father and Spirit.

The Patriarch Abraham, the Prophet Moses, King David, and other OT heroes and Saints of our Faith, referred to God as Yahweh, even while giving many prophecies of His Son Yeshua to come. We can continue to honor and worship both Father and Son imho.

When we read Holy Name Bibles, we see familiar verses in a New Light, which can be helpful to our Personal Devotion. For e.g.

"Yahweh is my Shepherd; I shall not want"
"Yahweh is my Light and my Salvation"
"Yahweh is my Rock and my Refuge"
"Bless Yahweh, O my Soul, and all within me bless His Holy Name".

When one calls on the Eternal Father by His Holy Name, one not only remembers His Great and Awesome Works through so many generations for Millenia, but also one experiences great Divine Intimacy with both Father and Son, and the Holy Spirit as well.

I like the KJV, it is a Great Translation on the whole. But I feel the Holy Name Bibles get it right on this particular point. God Bless.

The Jews have not called God by His Name for 2000 years. Has it brought them to Salvation in Christ? Nope. Maybe God is waiting for them to start calling Him by His Name Yahweh, with Deep Faith, Devotion and Love, in order to lift the veil from their eyes, and teach them the Truth that Yeshua is One with Yahweh? Yahweh is our Savior, and He will save Israel one day. Isa 43:11 has said so.

In Christ,
N. Xavier.

Of what Bible? The HEBREW Bible, like I said. However, since you want to use the KJV, here it is:

Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

1 Samuel 28:11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
13 And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

It's unfortunate that you throw shade on the NIV when the KJV also uses "gods". Maybe you need to repent.

I really, really don't think that God wanted his name substituted. This was a common practice among the Babylonian/Samarian/Persian religions. Some call it Pharisee/Farsi leaven.
Aren't these the people that forbid the speaking of God's name? "because of fear of breaking the 3rd commandment" (really?)
Moses, Jacob, Joshua et.al apparently did not have this fear.
Didn't Jesus rebuke them? (the Pharisees)
BTW Where did the Pharisee come from?
More importantly, where did they go?

It ACTUALLY says "I, even I, am the LORD YHWH; and beside me there is no saviour.”
yhwh isn’t a pronounceable word. We have to add letter to it to make it a word. Because he was hiding his name until he came forth

Jesus is God , that’s the only name for God given among men the Old Testament hides it. It’s why even in the Greek you never see the word yhwh but you repeatedly see Gods name revealed in Christ Jesus the savior the only savior mentioned in the Bible is God , you learn his name when he arrives

in the ot your seeing this

“but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament;

which vail is done away in Christ.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Does it have any significance that the reading of the Old Testament ( where yhwh is found , is a vail that blinds us but it’s taken away in Christ ? Who appears in the beginning of the New Testament ?

Do you see what I’m saying ? The Old Testament and all it’s truth and revelation is found in e New Testament.

yhwh seen in clarity without a veil is the name Jesus.

he himself is the father the son and the Holy Ghost manifest in one.

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the answers to the mysteries aren’t found In Becoming a Hebrew interpreter we would need to become a believer of the new testament written originally in Greek , but already translated for us by professional interpreters into whatever language we understand.

Jesus is the one name of God that is actually revealed it’s why you only see one name of God in the New Testament but several on the old because it was veiled you never once see the name Jesus in the old , but it’s the one revealed in the new he is all those names in one jehovah , immanuel ect the son

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The actual name is Jesus . everything leads us to Jesus and his name above all other names because he himself is above all

This statement is utterly and profoundly False.
according to the Bible you mean?

“be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It seems clear honestly

“The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) …And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:36, 42-44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

seems overwhelmingly true in scripture notice if Jesus name is above all who’s name it is and who’s name Jesus made known

“I and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

who do you suppose God is if not Jesus ?

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

or who is the creator of all things ?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1, 3, 10, 12, 14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m not sure it’s false it could be that some don’t realize it yet though because they are looking here

“but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament;

which vail is done away in Christ.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

instead of at the gospel when God came to dwell among men and make himself known

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the Old Testament is a veiled foretelling of the new when he came and made himself known so we can believe in him. Christians should believe the gospel and remember that the Old Testament was only witnessing him beforehand through a veil
