I couldn't agree more. However, the simple truth is that there are people out their who believe that they are saved not because they have embraced Jesus in their hearts but because they have embraced bad doctrine in their minds and they will most likely find themselves on the wrong side of eternity because of it.
Satan will try to steal the seed, failing that he will send false teachers to see if he can get the plant to grow crooked but if it is rooted in a contrite, humble and repentant heart and is not choked out by the cares of this word or is rootless in stony ground with no study or prayer, God's light will have the plant grow towards Him.

Do a science experiments. Plants are photrophic and grow towards the light no matter if you turn the pot the plants will still grow toward the window and the light. :) no matter how Satan tries to lead people astray. all we have to do is stay focused on the light and through prayer and study we will learn God's truth and He will teach us His ways.

Just because God's love is unconditional, that does not mean that salvation is. While salvation is indeed the work of the Holy Spirit and not the work of man, one must surrender to the call to the Holy Spirit to be saved. The same holds true through out our Christian walk. The role of the Holy Spirit is to clean us up and lead us into Christ likeness, to become an "over comer". That is the will of God for every believer however, this can not be accomplished if the so called believer continually refuses to yield to the call of the Holy Spirit. Now God is more than willing to forgive when we are willing to yield to the Holy Spirit through repentance however, if we continue to refuse to repent, the Holy Spirit can and will abandon you to a reprobate mind per Romans chapter 1.

I have found in numerous cases that the doctrine of Unconditional Eternity Security produces religious sinners consumed with religious pride under the assumption that they can now live however they like without regard for God, salvation or the Holy Spirit. This mindset is an absolute abomination in comparison to scripture.
this is SO WRONG.

if someone has been justified they are SAVED.

Agreed, Romans one is speaking about the lack of an excuse anyone will have. How since the beginning of Time man has changed the glory of God (who they know is real) into idols and all kinds of sin and God let them do it Even though sometimes he might have punished them for it. (ie sodom and gemmorah) But they will have no excuse when they stand before an almighty God because they knew in their hearts he was real, and his laws were just (ie there is no such thing as an athiest. An athiest is just a man who hides what he knows is true.

It is not about the HS leaving someone who he has entered and saved.

Nor do I understand that people do not understand that if I live 20 years longer, and never commit another sin (which is impossible I might add) I will still not be worthy to stand in front of God and be allowed to share in his glory and spend eternity with him. So why do people think that if they live righteous lives from this point on they will somehow be worthy of acceptance from God. Vs those who struggle with sin issues. (Not speaking about licentious people who really want nothing to do with God, But the difference between a brother and sister who finds alot of victory. vs a brother and sister who struggles)

amen again. totally agree.

i have so little respect and patience for people who pretend they have or can reach sinlessness. they're just deceiving themselves, and they are actually setting up new believers for terrible suffering and confusion.

we ALL sin daily: we DO NOT love the Lord Our God with all our hearts minds and souls...we do NOT love our neighbours as ourselves...we DO sin, and we sin daily. those TWO great commands are the summary of the Law and we are no more able to fulfill those according to God's standards (seamlessly for life) now than before we were saved.

anybody who doesn't admit that is a big fat phony, imo.

The Romans dealy always showed me how the Holyspirit shed grace on the soul from the time of his birth(John 1:9) till they destroyed themselves.

I think this talk comes from selfcondemnation that is followed by selfimprovement which causes pride
that brings a fall into selfcondemnation............the ratwheel thing Paul had in Romans 7. And it wont go away till one discovers the rest Christ promiced us at the start.

John 15: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and i in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me YE CAN DO NOTHING.

Come unto me , all that labour and are heavy laden and i will give you REST, Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me, for I AM MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART, and ye shall find REST FOR YOUR SOULS,
for MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT.

Hebrews 4::10 For he that enterest into His rest, HE ALSO HATH CEASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS
as God did from His, Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest.

The above statement in blue is your scapegoat for damning the eternal work of the cross and the unconditional grace and mercy that allows each sinner to benefit of the forgiveness, cleansing, justification, redemption and salvation provided by Jesus Christ and His shed blood through faith. Was the work that Christ accomplished on the cross unconditional and made available to all sinful men? YES! Did God attach or put any conditions on that other than to believe? NO! If God is no respecter of persons, then what He does is immutable (can't change it) and unconditional (can't add or subtract from it) and every sinner has access by faith through mercy and grace and not by some form of sanctification or abstaining from the flesh (or by some fleshly repentance).

Can we add or take away from the finished work of Christ and make is more adaptable to certain people or put conditions on it so that we can take credit for maintaining it while we condemn those (of antinomianism) that trust God in their weakness and depend upon His grace and power to keep them. I think that most believers that have the Spirit know the truth about their great salvation and even more, they know the nature, the eternal character and the unconditional love of the One that saved them by grace through faith and not of themselves.

isn't this the truth?

looking for the kind of peace the world gives.

it's a form of unbelief.

yes, we have our pasts, and until He wipes away every tear and the former things are forgotten we'll remember those things.

but to keep them alive is basically saying our sins were NOT blotted out, that the Blood of Christ is not sufficient.

John 10:28,29
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

Third Day - I trust in Jesus, my Great Deliverer, my Strong Defender, Blessed Redeemer, my Lord Forever, The Son Of God.

The Bible emphatically states that salvation is by Grace and that through faith. To tell people that there are conditions other than grace whereby you keep your salvation or earn your salvation is a form of the Law and is exactly what Jesus Christ has delivered us from. I love all you people who think there are conditions in which you earn salvation but you are literally banging your head against the proverbial wall and teaching others to do likewise. My prayers go out to you to recieve wisdom and revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am reminded of a passage of scripture made into a song by casting crowns.

Here I am Lord and I'm drowning
In your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don’t wanna end up where you found me
And it echoes in my mind,
Keeps me awake tonight

I know you’ve cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before you now as
Though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the east is from the west
Cuz I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest,
Cuz you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scarred hand to the other.

I start the day the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
And time and time again
Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away,
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the east is from the west
Cuz I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest,
Cuz you know just how far the East is from the West
One scarred hand to the other.

I know you've washed me white,
Turned my darkness into light
I need your peace to get me through,
To get me through this night
I can’t live by what I feel
But by the truth your word reveals
I'm not holding on to you
But you're holding on to me,
You’re holding on to me

Then again. I have felt this way many times myself.

Then again another verse should help us get through, "Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember now more"

I think it is hard for us to fathom or even think God would really do this. Yet these are his words and his promises.

sure....we are groaning within these bodies for redemption...no wonder!

the mighty Saul of Tarsus, though converted, chosen, authoritative and commissioned, still sounds amazed:D.....little paul.

1 Corinthians 15
The Resurrection of Christ
1 Now I would remind you, brothers,a of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 9For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Psalm 103:11-13
New King James Version (NKJV)

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him.

Eternal security is a another gospel (FALSE gospel) and counterfeit grace message built upon partial truths and Scripture removed from context

The biggest verse used to combat eternal security is Hebrews 6:3-6 For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come—and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. The only problem with that verse is that its says if you do lose your salvation you will never gain it back. So according to losing your salvation theory if you do lose your salvation is is IMPOSSIBLE to gain it back. So if you go with that verse if you turn away from Christ you are damned to hell and you will never be forgiven again. Just something to think about:)

Eternal life begins when this life is over.....if you have endured until the end.

I would love to see where in the Bible it says you have to wait till you die or are raptured to receive eternal salvation.

ah but they have to know who the Holy Spirit is and experience the good things of Heaven and been entrusted with the power of the age to come first for that curse to take into effect. most don't even know what the power of the age to come is much less have tasted of it. :)

Salvation by works is a false gospel. it was tought by Babylon at the tower of babel, it was taught in the early church by some of the phariees who were converted, it was taught by Babylon (Papacy) in the dark ages, but the Bible says that Babylon is fallen from truth
Then James 2:24 is false and the people who believe "faith without works is dead" are deceived. And so Martin Luther alone is right, and we should remove the book of James from the New Testament. And we should add the word "alone" to Romans 3:28, even though the word "alone" is not there in the Greek NT. We must listen to what Martin Luther says, because he says it is so, it must be so. He said. "I will have it so. And it is so. It is so, because I, Martin Luther, say it is so." His reply to Dr. Link in 1529 AD.
