I am reminded of a passage of scripture made into a song by casting crowns.
Here I am Lord and I'm drowning
In your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don’t wanna end up where you found me
And it echoes in my mind,
Keeps me awake tonight
I know you’ve cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before you now as
Though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way
Jesus can you show me
Just how far the east is from the west
Cuz I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest,
Cuz you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scarred hand to the other.
I start the day the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
And time and time again
Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away,
From you leaving me this way
Jesus can you show me
Just how far the east is from the west
Cuz I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest,
Cuz you know just how far the East is from the West
One scarred hand to the other.
I know you've washed me white,
Turned my darkness into light
I need your peace to get me through,
To get me through this night
I can’t live by what I feel
But by the truth your word reveals
I'm not holding on to you
But you're holding on to me,
You’re holding on to me
Then again. I have felt this way many times myself.
Then again another verse should help us get through, "Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember now more"
I think it is hard for us to fathom or even think God would really do this. Yet these are his words and his promises.
nice EG.
sure....we are groaning within these bodies for redemption...no wonder!
the mighty Saul of Tarsus, though converted, chosen, authoritative and commissioned, still sounds amazed

1 Corinthians 15
The Resurrection of Christ
1 Now I would remind you, brothers,
a of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand,
2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
9For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
