You misunderstand me. It is the second death that makes the first death irreversible. While a person is on earth, eternal life is available - if they accept Christ.
I admit I do not understand what you are saying.

Punishment ISN'T punishment IF it isn't being experienced, regardless of what you opine.
BUT only in YOUR OPINION. BECAUSE IT ISN'T WRITTEN. If it were you would produce it.

THE GWTJ takes place in this age. PLACE IN THIS AGE. Death and Hell go into the lake of fire.

The new age comes in and this becomes of the 'former age'

There is no remembrance of the former age in the new age. There is no death, which went into the lake of fire HENCE no LOF in the new age nor any pain in the new age NO MATTER THE AMOUNT

ALL THINGS FROM THIS AGE BECOME THE FORMER THINGS.

ALL THINGS ARE MADE NEW IN THE NEXT ONE.

ITS ONLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO. Punishment that has been carried out REMAINS FOR ALL ETERNITY TO HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. You don't like that.

Lets say the 'punishment' for stealing were having your hand cut off. Once it is cut off FOR the rest of all eternity your punishment remains, you remain without a hand.

Seems you believe that someone can do something so bad that they need to be in torment for all the rest of eternity without any hope of mercy, ever.

THAT is just cruel. Someone must have really hurt you really bad.

Death of the body - a carcass that goes back to dust

Dead Spiritually - not received the gift of salvation

Death of both body and soul - cease to exist - turned into nothing more than SMOKE that ascends

The first death is of the earthen vessel/body where blood ceases to flow and keep one alive
The 2nd death is of the 'spiritual body along with the soul which causes one to cease to exist.

The opposite of LIFE.

No longer breathing, thinking, feeling

The cessation of life
Not sure why these clear word of the Bible are being challenged, but I have my suspicions. I think the majority of the church has been deceived.

The answer is come from the Word of God in Matt 25:46
If you were rightly discerning what is written there then you would not be voiding out the words of God in other places. BUT your understand DOES VOID OUT THE WORDS OF GOD, DOESN'T IT.

What is said in Matt 25:46 MUST BE THE SAME AS WHAT IS SAID HERE

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

YOU YOURSELF say there MUST BE PAIN IN THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ALL OF ETERNITY.

I say there is only DEATH AND PAIN in the lake of fire UNTIL the new heaven and earth because per what is written

there will be NO PAIN AND NO DEATH NOTHING OF THE FORMER AGE.

If there is NOTHING of the former age because EVERYTHING IS MADE NEW and there is no death and pain

THEN WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS BEING SAID, SIMPLY CAN'T BE CORRECT.

NOW if you can make ALL BUT THE LAKE OF FIRE are passed away, then BY the words of GOD, SHOW ME.

I agree. When the SPIRIT of the law can't be seen, then the LETTER of the Law is all that is left and instead BUILDING upon the foundations laid, everything gets torn down and dissected, seeking to find with each and every word some sort of support for what has been taught especially when what has been taught isn't even written at all.

Are people even listening anymore? Most aren’t from what I see. We’ll all stand before Him and give account some day. I don’t want an uncomfortable confrontation about spreading misinformation about Him.
I’m not even going to read all of your comments as I am sure they are intellectually dishonest and laden with false accusations. That seems to be your MO now that you’ve run out of scholarly rebuttals, proving yourself incapable of defending your interpretation of scripture using verses or any sound understanding of English grammar.

I’ll remain available for anyone else who wants to have a constructive conversation on this, but you aren’t one of those people.

. The solution isn’t satisfying, but it’s the truth. People need to repent.

The eternal torment crowd has nothing important to contribute to this discussion. The church as a whole must repent.

Why are you here promoting a false doctrine?

You speak as if you’re in a position of authority, but the Bible doesn’t even say what you’re saying it does. That’s a big credibility problem for you. That makes me the teacher here. You’d do well to start learning a thing or two from what I’m saying.

I’m a Christian. I don’t belong to a denomination. Nor do I often listen to any preachers or read Bible commentaries. I just belong to God and read the Bible.

I’m sorry this is hard to accept, but the church has been deceived.l into believing eternal torment. I know that’s a tough pill to swallow because the atheists, JWs, and others believe that too. Now people have to worry about being identified with the unbelievers and cultists, but the devil creates negative group associations to keep people in bondage.

It’s okay I don’t need the praise of people. My heart is right with God and I’ll have my reward.

That makes eternal torment a fringe doctrine despite there being most of the church who believe in it.
Absolutely agree with the crowd being in error. Where to begin. People don’t want to hear it from me because it isn’t satisfying, but I’ll say it anyway.
Your doctrine of eternal torment was designed by the devil to either scare people into church or repulse them completely away from God. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of love.
It’s really sad, but I believe some of us are too honest and passionate about the Bible to stand by idly and turn a blind eye.
That’s why context and studying matters. I recommend you really dig deeper into the Bible to form a solid understanding rather than half-baked, recycled, and continually refuted talking points.
You should fix yourself before you go trying teach others. Nothing you’re saying is rightly-divided Bible.
Now to most people who just read the Bible and accept it for what it says, that’s quite clear, but most people seem to be indoctrinated into an alternative interpretation by none other than the church. The church is telling people about eternal torment, but Bible newbies don’t know any better or that it’s wrong.

Even I was deceived at first.
Your accusations are powerless here.

Sounds like your issue is with yourself and God, not me. You’ve been shown the Bible again and again. That really isn’t my problem if you won’t accept solutions to your errors. In the Bible when people rejected the truth, it was standard practice to move on to people who would listen. No need wasting time and energy on pointless arguments with you.

I’ll charge forward giving the world the truth about the fate of the wicked.
Matthew 7:6
6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
I believe I have nothing left to offer you. You’re free to go laugh hysterically alone on your island of heresy.
Can you even comprehend that the modern church is totally wrong on this point?
what you’ve said refutes nothing. I showed you the correct way to interpret Daniel 12:2, by taking into account Isaiah 66. Your problem really is with yourself and God. Just saying. You need to spend more time praying and reading the Bible.

Can you even comprehend that the modern church is totally wrong on this point?
You’ve put up a wall against the Bible. I wonder what your true intentions are.
Seems you haven’t studied the Bible much.
ahh i see now. I sent you a message to your inbox saying sorry and that has unsettled you.

Proverbs 25:21,22
21If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

While not exactly the same thing as Proverbs, I gave you kindness. You’ve turned and disrespected the Bible and me since then.

I give you the word of God and that really makes you upset. I see it as evidenced by your attacks against my person.
You've been continually attacking the whole church. See above. You have become arrogant.
Perhaps promotion of a false doctrine does that to a person.

Now, I'm ignoring you.

Nothing you’re saying makes sense in a Biblical context.
1. You don't understand what "death" is and means.
2. You fail to understand Dan 12:2.
3. You keep ignoring or rejecting the clear message of what ETERNAL punishment, shame and contempt mean for unbelievers.
4. You fail to understand Jesus' teaching about what Jesus meant by "more/less tolerable".

It is your claims and opinions that don't make sense.

What is the eternal punishment?
Dan 12:2 says eternal shame and contempt.

2 Thess 1:9 - They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might

IF "eternal destruction" refers to ceasing to exist, then the red words are MEANINGLESS and unnecessary.

Jesus spoke of "more/less tolerable" in regard to the unbelievers' fate after the GWT judgment.

You are taking issue with the wrong person. It is THE LORD you need to speak with, not me.

YOU ARE TEACHING the EXACT opposite of WHAT IS WRITTEN and what is written in more than a couple of places.

WHAT IS WRITTEN
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING
the old earth may passed away but not all former thing passed away

It makes me sad, but I am going to have to put you on ignore so as I don't get into trouble with the Lord myself as I can see this will only come from praying to Him for the answers you seek. AGAIN, I have given you what is written and I have shown you that what you thought was written wasn't. That is all I can do. Believe it or not. I have done my best.

PRAYER is the answer. Prayer is always the answer.

Maybe this Psalm will help. If not I hope you find someone who will.

OK, let's test your opinion. If you were guilty of a crime and the punishment was painful electric shocks (non-lethal but VERY painful) for 5 hours, and you had the choice of being placed in a medicated coma for those 5 hours or not, what would you choose?

THE GWTJ takes place in this age. PLACE IN THIS AGE. Death and Hell go into the lake of fire.
Where the punishment will be conscious and eternal, the shame and contempt will be eternal.

There is no remembrance of the former age in the new age.
This refers to the believers who are the ONLY ONES who will live in the new age on the NH & NE. Has nothing to do with unbelievers.

Of course not. Believers are not condemned.

ALL THINGS FROM THIS AGE BECOME THE FORMER THINGS.
Go back to your quote above about "no remembrance of the former age". Nothing to do with unbelievers ceasing to exist.

ALL THINGS ARE MADE NEW IN THE NEXT ONE.
That refers to the immortal bodies of believers.

ITS ONLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.
I don't have any problem understanding what the Bible teaches. Unbelievers will suffer punishment for eternity.

Punishment that has been carried out REMAINS FOR ALL ETERNITY TO HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. You don't like that.
Please rephrase your confusing sentence. An eternal punishment is punishment that lasts for an eternity. You don't like that.

Lets say the 'punishment' for stealing were having your hand cut off. Once it is cut off FOR the rest of all eternity your punishment remains, you remain without a hand.
You are trying in vain to equate physical punishment with soul punishment. And you have no basis for saying anything about the soul.

Again, would you choose to experience those VERY painful but non-lethal electric shocks for 5 hours or be in a medically induced coma for 5 hours?

I doubt you will answer this question, because it proves your theory wrong.

Seems you believe that someone can do something so bad that they need to be in torment for all the rest of eternity without any hope of mercy, ever.
I believe what the Bible says. Unbelievers will be tormented (more or less tolerable than others) eternally.

THAT is just cruel.
Tell that to God, who gave us His plan for unbelievers. Again, what you are expressing here is just your maudlin sentiments. It is YOU who can't stand what God will do to all unbelievers.

Someone must have really hurt you really bad.
What a wacky comment. My views come straight from the Bible. No one has ever "really hurt me bad" enough to go psycho, as you seem to be when you consider what eternal punishment really is.

Again, you have NO verse that says this. You are just making up stuff again.

btw, since God is omnipresent, one needs a whole lot of discernment with verses about the presence of the Lord. It can be taken several ways. One way is that because God IS omnipresent, no one can escape His presence. The other is that being "away from the presence of the Lord" means one is stuck with themselves, for eternity, to ponder all their own decisions.

This is why Dan 12:2 speaks of eternal shame and contempt.

Everyone makes stupid mistakes. Some people can't get over what they have done. They suffer the guilt of what they have done.

To exist for eternity with such thoughts is torment enough.

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Matthew 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Matthew 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

INTO the everlasting fire, to be consumed, turned into nothing more than a puff of smoke, ascending into nothingness, not a thought not a breath, not a feeling, not a pain, DEATH OF BODY AND SOUL COMPLETE, blotted out. Twice DEAD.

SHOW US ALL where it is written there will be conscious shame and contempt that will be eternal

AS I HAVE GIVEN 'consumed and as smoke ascending and not of the next age.

You absolutely sound like those who teach the pre trib rapture doctrine. NOT A WORD WRITTEN but they still BELIEVE they will be 'delivered' aka go to heaven, they will be 'kept' aka go to heaven, be a part of the falling away aka apostasy aka go to heaven before Satan is cast to the earth, WHEN NOT ONE WORD IS WRITTEN to that effect. It is all in their assuming what is MEANT by a word or verse, REGARDLESS of all the Scriptures it makes null and void.

This is no different. It says it is an EVERLASTING FIRE, not an everlasting torment. It is of this age, which will pass away, not of the 'behold I make all things new'. They are consumed, not retained forever. It has been shown over and over THE FACTS DON'T FIT with what you BELIEVE eternal punishment to be.

Death is eternal. The PENALTY/punishment for sin is death.

What has that to do with what is written? NOTHING. God is speaking about HEAVEN AND EARTH and is not dividing believers from unbelievers.

AGAIN,
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

NO DEATH - NO ETERNAL DEATH so the LAKE OF FIRE CAN'T BE PRESENT THERE AS THERE WOULD BE THOSE SUFFERING THEIR "ETERNAL DEATH', RIGHT? Another way in which it would be impossible,

Your definition of eternal punishment is not GODS as has been proven again and again.

GOD IS JUST and there is nothing a man could do in 100 years that would ever WARRANT GOD KEEPING THEM ALIVE TO suffer forever and ever without any hope or mercy. IT IS CRUEL. It isn't right.
