That is not true. Thoughts and imaginations can enter the mind at any time, but that does not mean that we have to entertain them. God gives us the ability through grace to cast these imaginations down that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God (2Cor 10:5). If we entertain them mentally, it won't be long before they enter into our emotions and turn into desires of the flesh and mind (Eph 2:3) to be executed by our human volition as the motions of sin (Rom 7:5). When we are drawn away into some form of lust that gets conceived, it brings forth sin and when the sin is finished it brings forth death (James 1:14,15). When those thoughts come against the knowledge of God you immediately define them and put them down. Any thought or imagination outside of God does not have to define who we are in Christ. To have the imagination or thought is not sin and does not have to identify us. Believers do not have to go around confessing every bad or wicked thought they have as sin. The thought is sin and it does come from a wicked heart, but all we have to do is acknowledge where comes from, receive grace and don't give it a place in our life. This is the law of the Spirit of life that makes us free from the law of sin and death (Rom 8:2).

Yep. This is why there seems to be no righteous sexual self-expression for the single Christian -- unless they're widowed, like I am. But, even that does not always help.
Being a single Christian man (and I have to imagine the same applies to women) with a bonafide libido sucks. All of the men's groups and prayer and fellowshipping doesn't fix it. I've been asking God to simply remove the desire -- the emotional and the physical.
As for your original question, I cannot say that someone telling you that you were in their sexual thoughts is the same as a man pinning you down in an alley and forcing himself physically upon you at gunpoint. However, men who have some understanding of boundaries and appropriateness would not say such a thing to you. They'd keep it to themselves, because they'd listen to their inner filter. Obviously the kind of men you were dealing with don't care about what is civil, what is appropriate, or about inner filters. Men like that assume every woman out there is as slutty and carnal as they are.
And, there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid that from time to time, other than to draw the hard and clear boundary once the line's been crossed.

Well, what you need to understand is that most of us here believe the Bible, since it is God's word. Jesus, the Creator of everything, including sex, told us that to have sinful thoughts was still sin. Why? Because both our actions and our hearts need to be holy.
Of course, there's a difference in consequences between a person's fantasies and their actions. Obviously the latter's can be much worse.
But, before God, they are the same in and of themselves.

Then they want to dictate to everyone else how to post, how to act, what subjects we can and cannot talk about as Christians -- but without ever adhering to their own rules. We've seen countless numbers of people like this over the years (and yeah, they often seem to wind up in the threads I've put up, lol.)
The most ironic thing is that a good number of people who do this -- drumroll -- wind up getting banned themselves, and often fairly quickly.
Granted, when I first joined this site, I was a much more depressed and angry person (even more so than I am now!) so in many ways, it's only due to the grace of the mods who were willing to give me a chance that I'm still here.
One of my other favorite accusations have been the times when people have told me I'm running a clique.
It's so ironic to me because wherever I go and whatever happens in my life, I'm just the same nerdy gal I've always been. Certainly not some groupie ringleader or mastermind, lol. I think the thing they don't realize is that if you stay on a site for 13 years -- all under the same name, as we have many long-timers who have changed names multiple times, which is fine, but just not for me -- spend all the time one would devote to a regular hobby (like watching TV) to writing and getting to know people instead...
Well, the chances are pretty high that you're just going to get to know quite a few people. It's like seeing someone with a business and assuming they have it made -- the outside observer doesn't see all the work that goes into it.
And even if I DID change my username, Everyone Would Know Who It Was the First Time I Put Up a Thread.
