Hi friends,

I just heated grease in the frying pan tonight for a quick light snack. While I went to get the popcorn out of the cupboard, the grease popped and went straight into my eye. I rinsed it, but it was already blistered. I forget the eye anatomy, but it's the area of the orbit up to the lens. The lens looks ok, but not sure. The clear outer membrane looks like really loose skin up to the lens. Blistered. Anyhow, I'm applying an eye wash cup of clean water and dilute colloidal silver topically, supplements that help wound healing and immune function.

I appreciate your prayers.

Today my eye looks better.
It's slightly irritated and bloodshot, but no more pain.
The cornea looks fine and the blur has gone away! I'm surprised that the blister has already gone down. Praise the Lord!

I did a lot of reading on thermal burns like this. What was recommended in addition to what I did was ocular antibiotic ointment, some opthalmologists recommend steroidal application and lubrication drops for one week.
I'm already using a broad spectrum antibiotic, a quality colloidal silver. I don't believe steroids will be of proper use. The mild inflammation that topical steroids reduce is counter for healing. Mild inflammation is the body's response to injury and it increases circulation to the site with healing nutrients. That is good in this case.
I'm increasing this circulation by drinking my own ginkgo biloba tea, which is a vasodilator, and staying off coffee, a vasoconstrictor.
Ginko opens fine vascular capillaries for circulatory improvement.
I'm going to keep a close eye on that eye to nip any possible infection in the bud. The silver eye wash should prevent that and immune boosting herbs and supplements taken orally. I'm going to shop for special ocular supplements that should assist healing and prevent further oxidative damage that big pharma doesn't have available.

Thank you all very much for your prayers!
Our Father is good!

I read in my devotion this morning of a whole army made blind when Elisha prayed. It just happened to be a chapter I was up to.
This evening I should read about Jesus restoring the blind man's sight.

First thing after that, I got a fine screen splash cover for the frying pan. I also got another ounce of prevention, one of those wrap around face shields. I was wearing glasses when the grease spattered, but it went into the side. I was facing another direction. I didn't want to put it off until later and maybe forget.

I highly recommend that you go to the ER and have your eye checked by an ophamologist. I will pray that your eye heals quickly with no loss of vision or complications.

Thanks for the caring recommendation and prayers! That would be wise. From what I can tell, no surgery is necessary. I looked up the physicians typical protocols for this injury and I have it covered already. If it gives any further problems, I'll do that. Good news is that the sclera has already reattached where it was blistered last night. I checked through the day and this evening. It looks like it's just about normal ALREADY. I'm very grateful.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting better. We serve an awesome God.

For more than a year, I refused to listen to him. I was legally blind in my left eye. God sent me to a retina specialist. He worked his magic, and removed a growth from my retina. Praise God for those people he has trained to fix broken body parts. I now have 20/20 vision in my eye.
