Gabe I think AFF is right. You do say you don't care to date. But maybe God was using her to wake you up and say "You truely do desire one and you will have one, someday."
You mean Aaron. I'm Gabe. Nukepooch is Aaron. :)

Yes, but at one point there was heated speculation that you, Nuke, and Nod are all the same person... so perhaps we should call you GabAaronNod... :D

Oh yeah. The problem is that my split personalities can't talk to each other. My bad.

As much as I never thought I would hear myself saying this...I think I agree with Nod.

Reason it all out in your mind.

You dont know each other, she lives somewhere else. You have never actually met her. The only thing you know about this woman is that she is attractive. So the only memory you really have is getting a physical reaction from seeing her read a speech. She may have a boyfriend, she may be about to get married.
She might be a lesbian for all you know.

Stay in the present. Not the what if's or woulda shoulda coulda's

The only difference was that the attraction was there before the speech. Good thing too, cause it was a snoozer. Hmmm.. I thought lesbians were all good at public speaking.

You could have chased her down and said, "Hi, I'm Aaron. I'm really sorry about the sound system. They said they'd have it fixed and I did all I could to make it sound ok. I just wanted to apologize in case it caused you any problems. You gave a great presentation out there." Then she would be like, "Oh, I didn't even know there was a problem. You must have done a great job! My name is ______, I was just about to get some lunch, would you like to join me?"

Then after some conversation she asks what the problem was with the sound system and then you confess that there was no problem, that you just wanted to meet her. :)
Actually, since this entire week has been filled with people lining up to pitch a fit with me, I figured it would have gone more like this...

"You could have chased her down and said, "Hi, I'm Aaron. I'm really sorry about the sound system. They said they'd have it fixed and I did all I could to make it sound ok. I just wanted to apologize in case it caused you any problems. You gave a great presentation out there." Then she would be like, "It was GOING TO BE a great presentation out there, but since you obviously don't have a CLUE what you're doing, I don't have time for you. I'm going to lunch with my lesbian partner..."

I don't believe in coincidences. I never have. Maybe you will never see her again. Take her out of the equation. What if God wanted you, NukePooch, to realize you aren't dead inside? What if He wanted to "wake up" as it were? How did you feel afterwards? Did you stand a little taller? Feel a little happier? For a moment in time feel like the world was a little less glib and a little more sparkly? If so, may, just maybe God wanted you to see what He sees in you and not what you see in you.

Yeah, I like that. Maybe that's all it was about.

You know what I wanna do? Do you KNOW what I WANNA do?
