We all have different preferences when it comes to being attracted to someone.

Whether it’s their physical look or personality, we are drawn to that person because of that one thing that they can do to trigger excitement.

Apart from the obvious of wanting a godly man or woman of God, what is ONE thing that captures your eye when it comes to talking to the opposite sex (not just anyone but someone who you find attracted to) and WHY?

Is it their eyes?
Hair colour?
Their laugh?
Energy?
Lips?
Arms? lol

For our friends who are married or in a relationship, what was it for you?

Their eyes, mostly. You can look at a person's eyes and tell a lot. The emotions we feel most often leave permanent traces on our faces.

I like contemplative eyes best. Eyes that look at the world and think about it a lot. Eyes that might smile or glare or laugh, but you can tell they will think about whatever they do before they do it.

I’m like you, I’m a sucker for eyes.

I like eyes that can “smile” even when wearing a face mask lol some eyes can almost talk to you without saying anything. I like eyes that give off warm and calming nature but also can really read me when I’m talking to him. I’ve come across some guys who when I talk to them, they can really stare into me, which is sometimes confronting 😂

Some Christians get upset at this kind of a discussion because we're all supposed to be so spiritual that we deny our physical selves. But, God never told us to do that. It is just not meant to be out of balance or obsessed over.

For me, I love dark eyes and dark hair. Love. If she has olive-complection skin, all the better. I prefer curvy to skinny, although I do want her to respect herself enough to keep herself in shape, at least to some extent.

A soft, feminine, but articulate voice is very sexy.

Eye contact is also sexy.

A good, back & forth conversation, like a good tennis match, is also a highly desirable. If you're dead in conversation or cannot contribute much, I will be thoroughly bored. And, that leads to something else: varied interests. If your interests include fine dining, nights on the town, spending time with family and friends, and 'living life to the fullest', none of that means anything to me. That shows me that you have no imagination, no passion.

This is a list of the first things that come to mind. But, none of these are written in stone. I've met blondes, fair-skinned, and black women who have knocked me on my butt. In fact, there's a stunning lady here of African descent that, if we were closer in age and both single, I would muster up the courage to talk to her.

For my late wife, we first "met" on the computer, and then on the phone. Her voice is, to this day, hands down, the sexiest voice I have ever heard. Period. When this ultra-sexy voice told me she liked Godzilla, well, need I say more?

And, the good thing about a list like this is that you do not need all of these in one person. If you get 65% of your preferences, I think you've done real well.

I like being around extroverts, they tend to be a lot of fun to be around and get shy people talking to each other. They're good to have at any event to liven things up.

I know that with me what captures my eye is where im needed,valued, appreciated and able to serve my purpose to the other person and vice versa granted they also have the same kind of mindset which is extremely rare. Eye candy is nice too but really i can't trust what i see these days and chasing after impulses can get a man into trouble.

I dont really notice body parts.

I think I look at how bright and sparkly a person is. Not that they wear a lot of jewellery or an unusual colour or whatever, or have white teeth or hypnotic eyes. as anybody with money can have dentistry and contact lenses, put on juju lips and wear flash clothes.

I dont think you can necessarily see it without spiritual eyes. The holy spirit is invisible anyway..and I dont think its fair to say that their spirit is 'energy'. Sure people can drink energy drinks to have energy.

Apparently HSPs (highly sensitive people) can 'read' auras. Though I dont think I have that sight though Ive seen depictions of it in artistic images. You cant literally see it but I think you can sense it.

Its like a colours or rainbows surrounding a person. Maybe its like the glory or the halo of an angel...hard to describe. Apparently Adam and Eve had this spiritual clothing in the garden but they lost this when their eyes were opened and they saw each other and realised they were..... NAKED.

Right now the weather is warm and the ladies are dressing in a manner that is as revealing as much as is legal.

When this man goes grocery shopping, what catches my eye is the rare lady that dresses modestly in a dress or skirt.
That has nothing to do with a person's salvation, but that is physically attractive to me in some cases.
On the other hand, there's the dude who works in isle 6 who tries to look like the bearded lady. I can't look away fast enough.

Apart from a mans set of eyes, like @Kireina mentioned, I love if a guy can make me laugh and shares the same humour as I do. I’ve come across some guys who look at me and cringe when I am attempting to crack a joke or be humorous …. Ends up being real awkward quick lol unless I am really not funny.

One boy at school asked me why I was wearing pyjamas..I said what these arent my pyjamas. They were pink corduroy pants. lol.

Ive decided not to wear school uniform and get confused with the students.
