Stalkers may not respond to polite requests to cease and desist.

In fact their inability to take no for an answer is why the law
sometimes comes into it, but even that is no guarantee they will stop.

A baseball bat is an ever present help in time of trouble. Or some people prefer a pair of riot batons.

I thought this might be better in the singles forum than just the ladies. Men need to hear ths too.

https://www.bustle.com/wellness/how-to-politely-reject-someone-keeps-asking-you-out

Its not fun to be stalked...at work, online or at church.
I've been stalked and was recently reminded of it when someone I used to know left a urgent note at an assisted living facility that I serve at. The lady attended my Bible classes years ago when I found out that she was leading others to her various religious services. She was into Roman Catholicism, Benny Hinn, and Mormonism. She preferred the teenage Mormon "Elders" and that's the last I wanted to hear from her. I think the Lord brought her to mind the other evening and the next day I got the note.
I could give two more examples, but David Letterman's stalker stories are much more interesting.

I heard that Lucy Liu had a group of stalkers. That was their last mistake.😉

(Disclaimer: For any dudes paid to read the forums, I am NOT promoting violence. Nobody should do this to those who are not harming them. No animals were harmed in the making if this movie either.)

In 1900 and 87, I went through a day long government class on sexual harassment, stalking and the such. I determined if it ever happened to me I would report the incident. Well as fate would have it less than a year later as I was bent over a pool table lining up my shot. A gal walked behind me and did a combo of rub, grab, and pinched my rear. I did not report it instead I did something much worse to her. I married her and really taught her the lesson of hey don't be touching the merchandise.........LOL

See....
It's the middle part of that word "no" that confuses them. And Even law enforcement officials use that same word.

restraining orders ...the stalker might not be jailed but just placed on home detention and given an electronic bracelet that monitors their every move, possibly a taste of their own medicine?

There used to be a couple of young guys that attended one of the other classes in my school. They wore the identical white dress shirts, black ties and name tags that had the title"ELDER so and so".
Every Mormon male is required to go on a mission trip for two years spreading a false gospel and recruiting others into their cult.
At that point they are issued the title of elder by their religion. The teacher always addressed the boys as Elders when speaking to them. Kinda like today with the pronoun thing. They IDENTIFIED as Elders. 😄

I've seen the ladies out knocking doors too, but don't think it's a required. It's been so long since I studied it, I forget their specific role at that age other than the following.
The belief that they will be goddesses on other planets is motivation for them to marry early and have as many babies as possible to populate the planet they end up on.

My neighbours are mormons and they are rather odd but keep mostly to themselves...they dont preach to us. But their son married very young had 2 daughters and died young.

He actually tried to make a move on me but I resisted.

Good for you!
I don't have any way of knowing what reason that he died young or presume to judge.. This is a fact though...God takes the protection of His faithful girls seriously.

he got cancer, it was sad for their family but he had brothers and sisters. However they believe in a different kind of afterlife than Christians.

I have become a bit more adept at 'friendzone' men but the silly thing about men as many seem incapable of being friends if they were interested in you for another reason.

No, but heard the Book of Mormon got turned into a Broadway musical

I guess they have a fantasy just like in Aladdin where he rides on a flying carpet with Princess Jasmine.
