Where in the bible does it specifically state this? Nowhere that I can see.
This is not exhaustive but here are some scriptures to nourish your spirit with.
There is never a mention, nor a reference by the Holy Spirit that the earth is moving thru space orbiting the sun.
The fallen angels taught the Egyptians and Babylonians the heliocentric belief system.

Please keep in your heart and mind this as well = "God is not the author of confusion" 1 Cor 14:33
There is no private interpretation of scripture = 2 Peter 1:19-21
And the words of the LORD are flawless = Psalm 12:6

Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for light by day
And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar;
The Lord of hosts is His name:
If this fixed order departs
From before Me,” declares the Lord,
“Then the offspring of Israel also will cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”
Jeremiah 31:35-36

Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel,
“O sun, stand still at Gibeon,
And O moon in the valley of Aijalon.”
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.
Is it not written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.

The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.

In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
5Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
6Its rising is from one end of heaven,
And its circuit to the other end;

And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Psalm 19

From the rising of the sun to its setting
The name of the Lord is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3

God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.

“No longer will you have the sun for light by day,
Nor for brightness will the moon give you light;
But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light,
And your God for your glory.
Isaiah 60:19

Also, the sun rises and the sun sets;
And hastening to its place it rises there again
Ecclesiastes 1:5

Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to go back ten steps.” So the sun’s shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down.
Isaiah 38:8

For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
James 1:1

A Psalm of Asaph.
The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken,
And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Psalm 50

To Him who made the great lights,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting:
The sun to rule by day,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting,
Psalm 136

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;

I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;

Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel,
“O sun, stand still at Gibeon,
And O moon in the valley of Aijalon.”
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.

fantasy nonsense

as everyone with even a slight knowledge of scripture knows

this is the kind of thing that happens when a person is susceptible to every conspiracy and deviation from the truth because they like to pretend they have secret knowledge that the rest of us do not have

I am reminded of the following from Ephesians 4

11And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head. 16From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.

if you believe every wind of conspiracy doctrine on youtube, you are going to deviate from scripture

youtube and scripture are not complimentary but people go looking for more because they like their ears tickled

and I say the above in a general way but I am sure some here wear that costume very well

Where in the bible does it specifically state this? Nowhere that I can see.
It doesn't specifically say anywhere that "Jesus is God" either, but we generally have no problem gathering this, why is that?

God says over and over again ALL OVER the bible that "the Earth does not move" that word for move includes ALL of the whirling, twirling, swirling and bowling that heliocentrists claim. So how is it moving?
He also tells us the stars go forth in their circuits and the sun and moon go forth in their circuits, He literally compares the sun explicitly to a man that runs a race around a track.
So, let's treat this the same way we do Jesus. Let's take the modifiers we are given in scripture and apply them as they are written and see what picture it makes.
The Earth does not move, the sun runs a course above it, the stars and moon also do this.......
OK. God says the sun moon and stars move over the earth. Simple as that.

Fallacy is your opinion that is contrary to God's words.
Your comment might be meaningful if you understood what a fallacy is. Clearly, you don't.

God's word is Truth and you will answer to HIM for that.
Are you suggesting that I will answer to God for the fact that God's word is truth? That's just silly.

Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Proverbs 30:5-6
Your previous post added to God's words, thus you are proved a liar. You will be judged with the measure you use.

BEST Choice = Believe God at His Word
Worst choice: misunderstand God's words and condemn others based on your misunderstanding.

Which shadows?
The one where the moon turns into an enormous eyeball during its normal course over the month?
No, the Northward shadows at locations South of the Tropic of Capricorn.

I have certainly said it more than once ;) But certain flat-earthers
dishonestly pretend the Bible does address this issue :unsure:
Magenta, that isn't true. It does address this issue. Same as it addresses many others that people are generally uncomfortable with.

I think the reason we get particularly uncomfortable with this one though is that it really drives home the point that God doesn't care about what we think. He uses the foolish things of the world to put to shame the strong and He asks that we trust Him and not our own understanding.

This line of reason literally flies in the face of all of our modern beliefs and paradigms. We trust our understanding first, and Gods word second, if at all.
the Word becomes and afterthought for us and, generally, never the first thing.
This is why I love this topic so much, it DEMANDS Gods word first, and our opinion and beliefs second, if at all.
It inspires trust in the word, or rejection of it. It makes the fence we love to straddle very clear.

Man's perspective, man's perspective!!! They shouted...:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
Man's reference frame yes, because it would be useless to you for God to explain what everything looks like from the reference frame of a 6th or 7th dimension. It would have been useless for him to tell you anything in a language of Angels. He was giving information to people who live on the earth. You really would be laughing if he had done otherwise :LOL:

Your religious sensibility may be offended but God put the truth in terms that are comprehensible to his target audience.

BUT GOD DOES NOT LIE.
Im all for making arguments about what people can understand, but to pretend for one second that the generations that manufactured the pyramids (not just the great ones), machupichu, the coliseum, the great temples and monoliths of the ancients, could not understand a little bit of simple geometry, trig, and physics is outright ludicrous.
Or that God Himself, could not reasonably explain how the world works to simple people (we literally teach this to 3 year olds) is heresy, and quite possibly a blasphemy as well.
Not damning, but definitely problematic.

It’s only problematic if you assume the purpose of Scripture is to provide explanations of real-world phenomena in 21st-century scientific jargon. It isn’t. It was terminology understandable to the ancients. Yes, a few of them understood engineering, but the Bible was not written for engineers, ancient or modern, but for common folk to grasp.

Scientifically complex concepts are explained in simple terms but that doesn’t make them “lies” any more than saying a circle’s circumference is about three times its diameter is telling a lie. Consider the purpose and original context of Scripture rather than imposing on it some purpose for which it simply was not written.

I didn't call God a liar.
I didn't say God couldn't explain. Nor did I claim mankind is incapable of understanding God's teachings.
I made a case that man has a limited reference frame compared to God.

Clumsy religious confronation has been your tactic since your very first post to me.
I am neither a heretic nor a blasphemer.

You lack understanding of historical context and have resorted to personal attacks.

Our reference frame, yes, but still absolute truth. Truth doesn't matter where it's being told from.

If the bible says that the sun stood still, I believe the sun stood still. Science is only true when it lines up with the bible. Science that does not line up with scripture is science falsely so called.

Perspective affects the perception of truth without making the truth a lie. Like it or not, with some things we are like the five blind men describing an elephant.

Whether the sun literally stood still or not is immaterial to this thread topic.

apparently you know more about some god than God Himself

He does not care about our thoughts? doesn't think about us?

while this is found in Jeremiah, it certainly disagrees with your notion that God basically is uncaring.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 11

you obviously have a very skewed view of God and let's not forget you also said in another thread that everyone hates God

I don't know who this person actually represents but he seems pretty excited about telling us all that God is uncaring...he has done this in several threads now

he borders on the edge of heretical comments
