Without understanding Hebrews and its original intent, the first time
you backslide, you may as well give it up :)

Somehow this passage is supposed to cancel out the truth from the passage I posted?????????

Talk about a false teacher.

The more you harden your heart denying the truth, the closer you become to being apostate.

4runner i dont want to sound condescending, please believe that, but just continue to grow and
learn. We all have alot to learn. And try to cut down on you false teacher stuff. Your actually a little out to lunch
in a few places. and it is causing alot of division. But im not saying you should back off. Just careful. There was no false teaching there, you just havnt a clue what Hebrews is saying. I know how it says things and most of the bible should be taken literally. But sometimes if you dont see the bigger context, you just cant be right with
just reading it.

How about I just call you a hypocrite. EG can call me a false teacher, no comment from you, and Zone can falsely accuse me of not believing in the humanity of Christ and mums the word, but anytime i respond you are right there to pill on. Yeah, you are a hypocrite.

First of all he called me a false teacher for post scripture that says we cannot cotniue in wilfull sin after salvation, and then he post scripture to cancel out what God plainly states in His word. That makes EG, and truth denier, and deceiver.

No that time you were given more scripture in context to what you furnished
and i think he was doing to help you understand the intent of the scriptures you shared
and defend the word.

God said exactly what He meant if you continue in sin after receiving Christ you will indeed feel His wrath
Hebrews 10
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Nothing either of you can say or do can cancel, or detract from what God has said here in His word on this subject. All you can do is reject the truth spoken in His word.

Once again you are putting words in peoples mouth. No one ever said anything about you MUST live sinlessly. I said we are able to through the indwelling Christ, and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Not that we must.
Some have a very small capacity for the grace of God and how to conduct their lives through that grace, in their speech and manner of living. Grace is far from their heart and lips. Paul taught Timothy to be strong in grace as a young preacher and pastor. Having one soul and all things common gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33).

In (Gal 2:9), Peter, James and John perceived the grace of God that was given to Paul and they extended the right hand of fellowship. There is no fellowship outside the grace of God. We need to put away our silly notions and false doctrine and get to know the God of all grace. God gives grace to the humble and to those that submit themselves under the mighty hand of God (the right teaching). Those that grow in grace and knowledge of Christ are confident in the power of God to lead them in the way they should go, trusting in Him and not the arm of the flesh.

If we want to be perfect, we must be perfect and mature in receiving grace, growing in grace, ministering grace and letting grace be sufficient in our weakness and also in assisting us in laying aside that sin that so easily besets us. We all have those besetting sins in our life but we are not so easy to admit to them because they do not conform to our concept of sinless perfection.

I heard a saying once which I think fits.

Take a two glasses

fill one halfway with water, and the other half urine.

take the other, fill it all the way with water. and put a drop of urine in it.

which glass would you drink?

These two glasses represent the high and low of mankind. The half full glass of urine is the evil sinner who had done everything imaginable

the glass with only a drop of urine is the person who lived a righteous life. and had very few sins to show for it.

handing it to god is saying here God. here I am take me as I am. do you think God is going to let either one in? When it comes to their works. no. But Christ has cleansed both cups with his blood. If the blood of Christ has washed you. then both glasses are perfectly safe for consumption. as if the urine was never there in the first place. This is what the gsopel of grace teaches.

Sanctification teaches that as the half full person grows in Christ more water is added, and the glass starts to look more like the glass full of water. Where as the person who was represented by the full glass of water realize they actually had more urin than just a drop. and they to strive to make it a full glass of water.

Pride says you will get there. Humility realizes you never will.

When we stand in front of Christ on judgment day. No matter who we are. All we will have to offer god is glasses of water contaminated with urine. If Jesus has not washed our cups with his blood. We will be doomed forever. Because God will reject our glass. If Jesus has washed our glasses. We get in. Not because our cup was worthy. But because of what Jesus did./ he washed us white as snow.
OH LOOK! biblical truth, i thought it would never come along in the posts i read :p good analogy there :D

Isnt there a proverb that says when two disagree how can they walk together(paraphrased) so we walking with Jesus or just the theology of Jesus? At times I wonder, That's the place He has, by His grace shown me after years of lettting what I perceived above what others saved and unsaved. If we claim we have reached perfection no use running the race, game over, I think will all the dilly dallying back and forth justifying ourselves shows we are still running the race, seek God and HIS righteousness and ALL things will be added. What's there to seek if we have already attained??
If something bites it's ourselves being bitten by what still needs addressing, that part not being dead but kicking - flesh is still alive.
One thing we can't deny Jesus said offence will come, yes but it's how we respond that shows His character in us.
