if he's not sure whether Jesus is God or not,
I meant his security in the sense that he knows Christians, and this site will ban him if he just comes out and says "Jesus is NOT God".

So he nibbles on the corners of his theology, NOT keeping what he knows this site considers heresy, NOT just merely keeping silent on it, for what purpose? Except to lead others astray I believe.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I'm sorry for the misread on my part.

Does this site have a doctrinal statement? If so, where can it be viewed? Is it posted somewhere that says specifically you can't post opinions that say Jesus isn't God?

What fakery you present to be the gospel, when people hold themselves to God!

Those who were also fakes were known to depart, because Jesus never knew them: They never once came to the realization that they needed saving, so never asked.

Your entire view of the gospel is wrong.
“What fakery you present to be the gospel, when people hold themselves to God!”

Yeah my view of the gospel is what Jesus said the gospel is if you consider that to be wrong you should consider what religion you are I’m a Christian who believes the Bible so therefore I come to a bible discussion forum to discuss the Bible and what the Bible says instead of harping and offering my theory and opinion

my theory is simple believe the gospel that’s written in the Bible four times by eye witnesses filled with the Holy Spirit

I’m not really looking for or interested in discussing a different path to God but the path he set before us in the gospel

When “ faith “ requires a person to reject what the lord said about salvation it’s not faith

the only way to be saved is the way Jesus Christ sent to the world if people think it’s wrong they probably should consider who their faith is actually in

If you want my view of the gospel you would simply need to open the Bible and read the gospel of Matthew mark Luke and John and believe it

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Im not too sure that acknowledging the plain words in the Bible is the wrong perception friend I’m certain when we read the Bible and we don’t agree with what it says the Bible is not going to change to agree with us we have to humble ourself and accept that Jesus is the lord and only savior

So what he says , is what I’m always going to accept and believe y wouldn’t I I want the promise he made in those words

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

pretty basic and simple really what it actually comes down to is some people accept what the Bible says and they believe it and they start learning from God

others hear what Jesus the lord said in the gospel and they instantly reject it and search for something else because they think Jesus has it all wrong and Joseph prince is offering people salvation

I suppose that’s a choice people have the right to make myself though I’ll stick with what Jesus teaches and says will save believers

I'm not sure if there is a doctrinal statement. There probably should be. But I have seen several members banned specifically for denying Christ's Divinity.

But I don't think it's cut and dry. So I believe there is a difference between asking questions, even some debate and continuously posting heretical doctrines that rise to the level of saying Jesus isn't God, even after being shown all Biblical rebuttals to that heresy.
I believe there would likely be a warning first.

This argument over the title Lord is irritating. But Jesus died and Resurrected proving His Deity. The Hebrew language refers to Lord as God. These Jews who wrote the New Testament would know this and why Thomas said, my LORD and my God!

Peter writes Jesus is God and Saviour.

Paul said Jesus is the VISIBLE IMAGE to the Invisible God.

Hebrews called it the Express Image.

It's so blatantly obvious Jesus is God that to refuse to acknowledge it must be a problem.

I knew about the Catholic thing. I did find this sticky: **GUIDLINES FOR REPORTING POSTS** All the time I've been here I think it's the first time I've actually read this. lol It does encourage people to report heresy and gives a short list of what is considered heresy; denying the deity of Christ is on the list.

This may be what you are looking for, from the sticked "GUIDELINES FOE REPORTING POSTS" post at the top of this forum:

https://christianchat.com/threads/guidelines-for-reporting-posts.188234/post-4067360

**PLEASE REPORT HERESY**

All too often what gets reported as heresy is not, but I routinely find heretical posts that have never been reported.

Heresies (not all inclusive):
Rejection of the Deity/Eternality of Christ
Universalism (everyone ends up in heaven eventually)
Rejection of the Omniscience/Omnipotence/Omnipresence of God
Rejection of the Trinity

If you need clarification, feel free to message me.

We read in the Bible, God manifested Himself into the flesh.

If that is not Jesus, who else would it be?

But the key word here is [[God manifested]].

So whoever manifested is God.

If the jw, Mormons, sda think Jesus is not God, who else manifested in the flesh?

Yes, good find, and he notes this is a partial list:

"Heresies (not all inclusive):
Rejection of the Deity/Eternality of Christ
Universalism (everyone ends up in heaven eventually)
Rejection of the Omniscience/Omnipotence/Omnipresence of God
Rejection of the Trinity"

I am not interested in debating this. It is pretty simple. Confess Christ with your mouth and believe that he died for you and rose again, and, if possible, get baptized in Christ's name. That would be biblical salvation. Then, abide in Christ.

Do you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead? (Romans 10:9)

Do you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father? (Philippians 2:10,11)

Do you believe God loves the world and sent His only Son so that all who believe will not perish but have eternal life? (John 3:16)

Do you believe Jesus has a Father who he refers to as his God?

John 20
17Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”

Is that not obvious from @NilsForChrist post?

Why the rest of the verses you then added to your response?
Is it because unless the believe Jesus is God in the flesh then not saved?

If so you believe that Jesus is not God in the flesh yet you are saved?

If so why so?

Interested to know.

If people can’t safely discuss the Bible here without a witch hunt brewing up then it wouldn’t being a Bible discussion form. How about you all quit making this personal and just discuss what the Bible says or don’t.

Paul, Peter, and someone else referred to the Father as God as well. They called Jesus Lord, a man, and a Son who learned obedience; all power and authority in heaven and earth has been given to him. His Father caused his birth through Mary. He is God’s only begotten Son. His doctrines were given to him. He did what he saw his Father doing. He sought his Father’s will. He obeyed his Father. His Father raised him from the dead. He called his Father his God. God appointed him as High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. He sits at the right hand of God.

Is that referred to as modalism?
