Hi, I'm new here. I'm lost confused and nobody to freely consult without judgment. My only experience and knowledge of christ, is simply belief. I can't recite scriptures, I don't even know how to decipher the words. I don't know how to pray, nobody ever taught me, so I just talk like I'm having a conversation with myself. I don't know where to begin when I'm so late to the party? I need guidance, is anybody there?

I would begin reading in Mark. Until you see who God is and relate to Him in His characteristics that are shown by Jesus then it is difficult when praying to feel like your praying to someone. It will eventually be like you talking to a friend but of course with respect to Him being our Creator.

Hello Theresa! I'm here, we can talk if you want! Also, if you want to understand the bible you only have to ask Jesus to open your ears and eyes to his word. He said that if we ask, we shall receive, seek and we shall find, and knock and the door will be opened. That means we only have to ask him to help us and reveal what he wants us to do. You can talk to God anywhere you are, even in your mind and heart he will hear you as long as you want to please him and do his will.
I'm new too! Kind of shy about sharing my limited understanding of the Bible, but I'm working on it! Great is His faithfulness! Glad you are here, Theresa!
