what IS a chill pill?
I never had one.... is it A cough lozenge? Honey and menthol? Minties? Mentos? I like those peppermint leaf chewy gummy leaves.
An ice block? I'll have an ice cream, but never taken a chill pill.
Maybe 15 or 20 years ago it was common to tell someone who was uptight or anxious to take a chill pill to chillax. No such pill actually exists, well, maybe, if you take a Xanax or something similar.
However, this is not to be confused with either the Red Pill or the Blue Pill.
I chose to take the Red Pill in an attempt to keep things real rather than taking the Blue Pill, thereby sticking my head in the sand to shut out the reality of any given situation and the responsibility to act accordingly.

Here, people would just smoke some weed to destress, or vape.
Actually, I never once took drugs or smoked pot. Not everyone is on drugs in the USA but there are a lot of people addicted to one substance or another. I used to drink but have abstained since the summer of 1992.
Apparently in the 1930s or so little Judy Garland got told to take fat pills and then sleeping pills till she got so addicted that she died.
Also, she was nearly in this movie called Valley of the Dolls which was about the 60s drug culture at the time where every movie star had to take pills. She got fired for not showing up.
In the 90s Jagged Little Pill was a big album by Alanis Morisette, but I just thought that was about taking a panadol or something. But nowadays even panadols can be abused.
Instead people are told to take Neurofen.
I dont take pills, if I have a headache I rub tiger balm on my temples, or have a cup of tea and lie down usually does the trick. I think people take too many pills.

Magnesium deficiency is notorious for the cause for headaches, anxiety, among other things, and its atomic number is 12 which makes me think of the tree with the 12 manners of fruit on it for the healing of the nations. It is found in abundance in the Dead Sea (salt) which is ironic but similar to that God purposed (His) death to be our life.
I don't know who you heard it from, but they are wrong. You need to get better information sources.
I read the book Valley of the Dolls when it first came out.
Judy Garland lived a sad life for sure. I'm sure that she was exploited by the movie moguls to her detriment. Sad story that didn't end well.
I believe seeking closeness with God is essential in our relationship with Him, but I do not believe we have to be fiery hot all or even most of the time to please Him. It’s wonderful when we experience that rush of Spirit-filled fire, whether just for a moment or an extended period of time. But if that feeling becomes the focus of the relationship, and we begin to pursue it instead of Jesus, then that isn’t a relationship at all.
The idea that if I’m not on fire for God my relationship with Him is somehow lacking is an endless rabbit hole to stumble down. How I feel in the moment about God does not determine my relationship with Him. If it did, then we’d both be often disappointed and frustrated, because I cannot possibly be on fire or even medium-hot for the Lord every second of the day. In fact there will be times of lukewarmness, even coolness. It’s the reality of life as imperfect human beings who feel anger, sadness, disappointment and even resentment at times toward their Creator.

I have a Bible app on my phone that has daily devotionals and I try to do that, but sometimes I don't always get the notification. I have read through the New Testament (and also some books in the Old Testament). One of my challenges towards reading the Bible on routine basis is that I already know who Jesus is (through reading, focusing on verses during church, etc.), so it is not like I am going to get new information in that sense. However, if I am focused on a specific topic, I research online and read the Bible verses online. If I am feeling a certain way (say, worried), I prefer to listen to a sermon online, read a blog that has compiled the different verses related to that topic, etc. I find that more efficient.
When asking God anything especially for wisdom am always directed to the book of Proverbs, Because each verse is a short saying, its not a long narrative, or saga unlike the other books where you need to read the whole story or letter.
Jesus spoke in parables which are short stories. He knew we could only handle so much info at a time and made them memorable.

I found out we have a got a hot beverage machine at work that makes coffees and hot chocolates for you at the push of a button.
for free. hooray. But I have to make sure when I have my break to go make one first before I do anything else, as its not good making it 3 minutes before class time starts and having to gulp it all down.
I have decided I have to figure out how to make my phone ring at break times to remind myself I need to go, as the school doesnt even have bells. I am not sure why. Churches dont have bells either. You'd thnk they would ring out as a call to worship or something. But no you just supposed to know the exact time. Like a robot.

Also the phone doesnt work either. Im like what is it with schools these days. people say of those who work in schools at least its a job. I heard teachers in state schools are striking again.
Or I could stay at home and homeschool myself right? haha...then I would have supposed endless morning tea time. But staying at home ALL the time is incredibly isolating for many people - they cant handle it.
Thats the problem with being human...we have expensive overheads. it seems like we cant all live in tents, and the houses we build are never enough to contain us happily.

I took my spare Bible to school as I thought I would have more chance to read it first thing in the morning while setting up so left it on my desk open.
God gave me Proverbs again this time about the poor oppressing the poor and leaving no food, like a sweeping rain
Isnt that right. My previous school which was nominally a 'poor school' now has changed their lunch providers and I heard it was much better, no more chicken and carrots everyday.
My new schools which is nominally a 'rich school' has students buy their own lunch and staff get paid enought to buy their own too its just we dont get much time to eat it. However we did have an extra 15 minutes lunch time because of whole school photo day.
I have tried the butter chicken (ok) spaghetti and meatballs (mushy) wedges (ok) and chicken karage (rice is cold..ick) . They dont have pies or pizza at this school so I will enquire about that.
There is a nice cafe within walking distance though so might check it out this morning tea time...
