Last weekend my nephew's high school drama club did their own version of Disney Beauty and the Beast with my nephew playing the male title role. The boy tore the roof off of the place. I praise God that He is saved. If not, I would be afraid considering all the atttention he gets from girls around his age.

1 I did not say there was a gay guy in sharktale, I said i thought it promoted homosexuality and you may totally disagree. Did not say it was made by Disney and dont care who makes a movie only the content. What I said about Disney was having Gay week I will not support a group or organization that openly supports evil. Same as it is your choice to not/or to support it.
I am glad im judged as a over exaggerated wierdo for doing what I think is right. I have not said anyone was doing wrong just stating what I am doing. Not because im a genius or know everything I am just trying to raise my children as well as I can sorry it doesnt fit in your plan.

'Woe there Nellie Bell', are we being a little feisty chomping at the bit? God forbid that we are set apart from the world. God forbid that we look different, act different, talk different, make different decisions and maybe hate some of the things God hates and love the things that God loves. After all we were of the world and you can't blame us for still liking and having an affection for some things that are in it. Let's be sensible. We shouldn't be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good, because (Col 3:2) doesn't real mean what it says. People have to see a little bit of the world in us so they can relate to us. Maybe I go to the movies, listen to rock music and have my favorite bands, drink a little wine or even a beer now and then, dress like they do and use a few cuss words for effect because I have that liberty in Christ and nobody is going to take that from me. Others may have liberties that are a little bit stronger and more immersed into the culture in which they live. God's not going to mind. He understands and all those Christians that tell me differently can go you know where. That's the reason I left church because they were getting to heavenly minded for me and started making demands. I have my walk with God and I am just fine thank you. Sounds like a good way for me and my house to serve God. It doesn't matter what Christ said in (Mt 10:33-39) because it doesn't apply to me and my house. I'll take up my cross and deny myself just so far, but if it starts causing any problems or interferes with what I have affections for, then it's over and I don't want it and I will keep what I have and be content.

Didn't know disney did a gay week... guess i won't be going to florida anytime soon.
I do know that the new CEO of Disney is very active in the church and is working with Johnathan Falwell through Liberty Unversity to plant churches accros the United States and other countries world wide so I wouldn't give up on Disney just yet. Maybe instead of people being so judgemental and critical, people should take time to pray and fast for Disney? Something the baptists should consider...

a) finding sensationalist over the top KJV-only websites, most of the info. on them is not factually correct anyway
b) posting repeated warnings, dangers, alerts, ... about very trivial things..
c) palming themselves off as a spiritual know-it-all and God-appointed warner to the body of Christ .. thanks but no thanks, especially not from people who reject the gifts of the Spirit and continually atttack charismatics or anyone who doesn't agree with their views.

That is some good information to hear Kingdomgeneration I will have to do some reading on the CEO, i am just going on thier current status of the Gay week and how "gay union marriage" people are treated that work for Walt Disney. Like i said before i by far do not know all about the situation, only that from what i know so far i wouldnt go there.
As far as any other comments i am not saying if you go there you will burn, or not to go there either, i just stated right now with the way i percieve their actions i dont. i dont do a lot i am sure that some do not, not that i think im better at all cause i am not i am a Christian trying to do what is right and fail at many things and pray and ask others to pray for me. i have never posted any warnings or dangers or anything, just answered a couple of posts about what i am doing which i thought was what this is all about. When your brothers in Christ are crying arent we supposed to cry with them, support them correct them and not ridicule or make fun of them? I don't know it all by any means but i study my NKJV Bible and i also have a KJV and my wife from Philippines has a Tagalog language Bible and i dont know the Version of.
Please dont take one sentence of what i am saying as judging anyone here, if someone asks for an opinion i will kindly give mine, which maybe correct or incorrect as i am forever learning and trying to do as instructed by my Saviour. I'm sorry you received that as me calling you an over exaggerated wierdo cause that was not the case. I was shocked that i saw a movie 4 times and didnt see the promotion of homosexuality, (normally i see this) Result being... it doesnt exist in this movie. I think sometimes we are too eager to receive the critisism of things from other sources other than our own and take it as gospel. Now if you told me shark tale promotes organized crime because of the higherarchy of the sharks, now that i would have said... maybe... but nah, its just a funny movie. If there are no gays in shark tale explain how it promotes homosexuality?? I have two boys and definitely want grandchildren. Also, your ending comment somehow infers that my plan is not to raise my children as well as I can... I'm pretty sure you have absolutely no authority to speak to this. Are there any teenaged Christians in here who grew up with these movies that care to comment on how it drew you away from God watching cartoons like sharktale? Cause those are the opinions I value, the ones who LIVED it and felt the influence... ie: If Missy2shoes, mguitar, surfermonkey or coffeegal (young ladies who i just LOVE) told me that reading the book Lion Witch & wardrobe caused even one of them to question God... I would absolutely stand up and take notice of that particular series.

The part I am refering to (in my opinion so take it for what its worth probably nothing to most but just my opinion) is the entire movie is about a shark that is different from his own kind and showing how its ok to be different he dresses as a dolphin does the female job in the car wash that was what i think it was refering to, maybe im wrong but if it seems that way to me i dont see the harm in my children not watching it. I did not get this from any other source just from prescreening it, maybe im being overly protective but im just trying to be safe and do what i think is right. I have no idea who you are or how you are raising your children but am assuming because you have stated earlier you are raising them in a good Christian environment and like i said before i am not judging or throwing stones anywhere just, once again, saying that i did not say you are wrong or i am right i am just trying to do what i think is right that is all and i am sure there are many ways to get your point across to your children and we have two different methods mine is what works for me and yours for you. If i have made you think that, i am questioning your parenting skills i amvery very sorry i do not want you or anyone else to be offended. i am just saying what i am doing. I am sure you value the opinon of the ones you are closer to more than mine and that is great but as children of God i love you all as my brothers and sisters and am not trying to slam or make anyone feel anything other than to answer what the original post stated although i do not all out avoid Disney, many of the older cartoons i like, i wont go to Disney land and dont like the movie sharktales and do not think Disney is today what is was originally build up to be by Walt (and that is just an opinion also). Hope there isnt any hard feelings or tension and i am sorry if it was taken wrong, i guess that is why i very rarely post i dont think i articulate correctly (along with poor spelling) the point i am trying to say and it gets taken wrong. It's all about taking your money anyway.
It's made to make money, and take money!
I have more important things to do with my time and money!
If you wonder whats wrong with our youth, look at what they are sitting in front of.
Children learn by example and if they sit in front of a TV as a babysitter, or whatever,
who's teaching them? How many murders does a child see on TV before they are even five years old.
How many commercials are teaching our kids that sex sells?
Most kids shows today teach our kids that it's ok to talk to your parents like they are stupid!
Just in the few times in the last year that I have watched TV,
It did not take long to hear someone putting down Christians in some way.
I myself would rather read the Word and share my faith than waste my time on TV.
It's all about taking your money anyway.
