I've heard that one for years, but it doesn't make it true.the only true power is Jesus
If it wasn't for the wicked power in the world today, we wouldn't have the problems we have in our nation(US).

True. You can't tell who is who by fruit alone. That's part of it, but many non-Christians bear fruit of the spirit; or at least what passes for it. There are many tests and fruit is only one of them.
Well the Prosperity Gospel has certainly made them prosperous (if no one else). These "celebrities" are also promoting various false teachings. Beware of false teachers. These are some of the more recognizable names but there are many, many more.
HOW true that name is RELIGION, blaaaTrue.
Many today have a "form" of godliness.
2Tim 3:1But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
Yes yes, im sure you are wise enough to pay heed to a heathen 3rd party political biased propaganda machine rather than imperical observation.
1. Lights turned off or really dimmed down
2. Fog machines
3. Light shows
I know what you mean, they put on a show, I was like . how can they here the holy spirit , when there that loud, we need to pray for them, and no fog machines just the presence his love, him,And super loud music and repetitive words sung over and over to ad nauseum
I met a seminarian who boasted that there was only one Bible in her church, and that was upfront with the pastor.
The New Age movement is one of those things that if you haven't grown up with it or don't have a lot of experience in it, it may be a little tough to grasp; but if you've been around it awhile it's very easy to recognize when you see it. It's essentially a collective of every non-traditional spiritual belief and practice out there. But it also includes things that aren't spiritual necessarily but are esoteric and mysterious. Typically the goal is some kind of spiritual growth or enlightenment.
One of the biggest New Age influences I've seen on the body of Christ has been postmodernism (the idea that there are no objective truths) and the so-called emergent movement. Although the emergent movement has largely died out, its influence can still be felt. Many Christian churches today are little more than collectives of individuals each practicing what seems right in their own eyes. The only "sin" is to interfere with someone else's "journey."
I do not believe it is possible for New Age practices to take part in the Body of Christ.
Which denominations can prove they are in the Body of Christ?
You just hate Christ in Christmas.Celebrating christmas is about as as worldly as it gets
They seat themselves on the throne... same as Adam and Eve did."No objective truth" is basically calling the Lord Jesus a liar, and the folks who fall for it either don't get it or don't want to get it.
"“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:1-6, NABS, emphasis mine)
Not to mention that Scripture records repeatedly in the Book of Judges that "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Maybe that's the problem with those who see "no objective truth"...
...maybe they really have NO KING.
Yes. I led a young man to the Lord nearly 50 years ago. He was seriously into Karate. He quit the next day, convicted by the Lord. I know Karate has a demonic aspect to it.I knew a guy in leadership once who was into martial arts and I always wondered why a Christian would want to do this. I studied Tai Chi when I was younger, before I was a believer. It's all about attuning to the "universal energy" and "life force," not unlike yoga.
What do you mean by spiritual disciplines?Brother, it would do you so well to look into the disciplines and reconsider. There are amazing spiritual benefits in engaging the disciplines. But I will leave it to you from there.
