Then you come on with I'm enjoying my self putting you down, when you don't realise how your coming across.
He knows exactly how he comes across.

You can't see that at times your level of criticism is intimidating at times.
It's his schtick. His primary defense for his beliefs is to belittle those who do not see things his way.

..people are fun.

I don't know if he will even answer if he also thinks the gift of Diserment is valid today.

I hope he can see it is but could he see the gift of Diserment is also related to Prophecy.

I'm not so sure what he enjoys,

I sence he likes to challenge people's intellect with his own.

And at time his challenges become bragging rights, but what concerns me is his username, it's feels like he knows he going to be an alien with his views on belief systems,

To which i feal is the reason I have showed him so much compassion as have other people, probably feeling a bit of empathy towards him, and even giving him the time, because what Christian should be made to feal like an alien.

It like he's saying this is how you people have made me feel so this is my name resident alien, as this is all I'm ever going to be in this place.

Which really when you think about it, it's kind of bitter as this mentality doesn't really show love. But just a constant reminder to us of he's been made to feel.

So there definitely an agenda with him.

But then he turns that around on that being all others problem at times to as well.

Like he's going into a new friendships with the same thought in mind most of the time, which is at some point you will also treat me like an alien.

Feel better? We don't need prophecy now. The Holy Spirit has inspired God's word; it's for everyone. We need teachers, not prophets.
So how does the Lord tell His people that a particular danger is pending, as He did through Agabus?

this is also new testament Prophecy to, but I've have already showed him new testament prophecy in acts twice
But he still refuses to see his error.

I've hinted at this many times showing him prophecy can be used to warn someone of existing danger.

My feeling is sometimes it's not enough to hear a warning about danger because of how indespensable you can feel,

God then feels you have to hear it from someone else too.

Or how does the holy spirit tell anyone that what he thinks scripture is saying is true? I think some must be reasoning the working this way, "if I think it's the right way to look at it, it must be, because the holy spirit leads me, and he wouldn't lead me wrong. But their actual reasoning goes this way, "if I believe it, then it must be true because it's impossible that I could think wrongly, so there's no need to hope for any further direction from the holy spirit."

there to sides to spiritual prophecy.

It's a tool used by Good and bad.

From scripture prophecy used by the demon baal was to lure people into false hood or into intimidation for control of there minds.

Unclean spirits are still here so we do need true prophecy every day to correct there's.

I call it the gift of spiritual Diserment coming the believers way in the form of true prophecy also, because without the mind being renewed daily or warned about false prophecy the human mind could believe an unclean spirits false prophecy.

That's just it with you. You disagree with a church belief which wasn't aimed or intended for you Personaly, then you make it personal by saying such a person is trying to convince you Personaly.

Which really is quite rude when a person is sharing there belief, you come along and take it personally as if that person is against your belief system.

Once again you resort to viewing prophecy as something that was only intended for the prophets of the old testament,

Then you come on with I'm enjoying my self putting you down, when you don't realise how your coming across.

You can't see that at times your level of criticism is intimidating at times.

Whilst other times you do show compassion, but more often than not, when your view point is challenged compassion is based on your thought process of believing your doing good by demolishing somebodies belief system that doesn't fit yours.

And the beliefs your disputing, is somebodies heart felt testimony where they feel the holy spirit spoke to them.

Of course such person is going to become defensive over that because it means so much to them.

Of course tho your message is based on what the spirit has already said.

Which make me think your some kind of cessationist.

Maybe im wrong but seeing as I have spent 2 months trying to be friends with you and showing you a lot of patience and tolerance, could you at least tell me if you think any of the gifts of the holy spirit are valid for today ?
As I never had you down as a cessationist but it feals like your not seeking the holy spirit for a gift of Diserment, or is that also dead to ?.
You're going to think whatever you want of me so go ahead and think it.

You're going to think whatever you want of me so go ahead and think it.
That's rich considering how little you have thought of me on many occasions.

Again you turn this around on me and still refuse to answer a simple question, despite me spending a lot of time answering yours.

Your last answer for asking a reasonable question, was you said you didn't have an opinion on it. Followed by no one can understand you

Today your answer is to once again make my character the centre of attention,

When you've brought your own character into question with your chosen name of resident alien, and by the way you refuse to take part in a discussion that you your self have raised.

And again you equate the gifts of the holy spirit on the same level as a gift from a human rather than answer the question.

What type of credibility is this answer for a simple question about the holy spirit ?.

It's on the same level as you refusing to answer how did you know you became saved.

Befor today you also equated being blessed with the fruits of the holy spirit as being possessed by the holy spirit.

You've also suggested that I shouldnt just be bringing the holy spirit into the discussion to prove a point.

Which again is putting your self first befor the holy spirit.

Now you won't even answer the question on whether you feal the gift of Diserment is still valid for today.

Which again puts into question of saying you have no idea what I'm talking about rather than answer a previous question.

So will you today answer the question ?.

Okay. I only read the first sentence but I'll take your word for it, whatever it says.

Personal prophecy is big these days. A so-called prophet gives you a prophecy that he or she claims is directly from the Lord and meant specifically for you. Does this have any authority in scripture or are these "prophets" little more than psychic advisers? Have you ever been given a personal prophecy? What happened as a result? If not, how would you feel or react is someone tried to give you a personal prophecy?
Some of them are so-called ‘psychics’ who blend in well with Christians who seek personal prophecies.

A true prophet of God will be able to show their authority by something unique given to them by God. And they will only testify about God or events closely related to God.

sorry this is confusing.

How can you associate personal prophecy to being a prophet of God.

There are no more prophets

The holy spirit is no longer temporary in individuals,
People where called prophets when the holy spirit filled them tempory in the old t.

This is changed the fruits of the holy spirit are permanent in an individual.

Basicaly we might as well say the holy spirit has ceased speaking prophecy

I was speaking against personal prophecy- it doesn’t exist. I was trying to use my words carefully, because people always seem to to find something to offend themselves with.

My comment about true prophets holds true… because none of them have from God something that validates them.

As far as your idea that the Holy Spirit is not in us is unscriptural. That’s the whole point of being a believer. If you’re a Calvinist, let’s end this conversation now. Thank you.

Prophecy is done. The church was built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:19-20). We don't need modern-day apostles and prophets; we have their testimony in God's word. So there are no true prophets and false prophets. Anyone who claims to have the gift of prophecy today is false.
