In heaven we will have a body of flesh and blood. Very interesting because angels can take on human form

Even though I disagree with you, you’re still super cool… Ok, let’s step it up a notch.

Do spirits have flesh and bone?

when He resurrected to heaven He obtained a glorified body so He no longer has a fleshy body.
Luke 24:39
Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.

Then it will not be a spiritual body if it is flesh and bone.

1Co 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

There are 2 different bodies celestial pertaining to heaven, and terrestrial pertaining to the earth.

There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body.
Christ was sown, and incontrovertibly dud rise having flesh and bone, explicitly proving to His disciples that He did not resurrect as simply a spirit or ghost.
therefore what is meant by "a spiritual body" includes a material aspect, because He did not do this in deceit but as a pattern for us who will rise also in Him, the Firstfruits.

it is simply contrary to the evidence and testimony of scripture to say there is no resurrection of the body. His tomb is empty, He ascended leaving no corpse behind, and this same Paul tells us in Romans 8 that the redemption - not the dissolution - of our bodies is exactly the hope in which we were saved.

we are not groaning for our souls to be unclothed but to be further clothed.

what we shall be remains a mystery but it is specifically shown in scripture that we will continue to have both a physical and a non-physical aspect, just as we do now, and just as Adam was created - and that all sin will be purged from us, thus also purging all our corruption, from which is our mortality.

And after this, the resurrection.
Which he spoke of in the 5 verses immediately preceding what you put - and doesn't contradict himself.

His tomb is empty and ours will be too.

We will be **changed** raised to put on incorruption. we will not leave these bodies behind - they will be redeemed:

Romans 8:23-24
even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?
sóma: a body
Original Word: σῶμα, ατος, τό
Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter
Transliteration: sóma
Phonetic Spelling: (so'-mah)
Definition: a body
Usage: body, flesh
Yeah I mean everyone has opinions it seems like Paul’s is pretty straight forward here but does t seem like it’s being considered my own opinion is this it’s really plainly said

“But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

it is sown a natural body;

it is raised a spiritual body.

There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; ( this seems to be something you’re not able to consider )neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:35-36, 42-44, 49-51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I can then form an opinion that flesh and blood will be redeemed and inherit eternal life but I try to accept what’s plain this section is about what kind of body we will have when resurrected it’s not going to be flesh and blood Paul’s just agreeing with Jesus

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh;( natural body )

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”( spiritual body )
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Im not aware of any scripture that says anything different but that’s just my own thinking this creation is going to end our flesh is part of it

Christ clearly rose with a body of flesh. that is undeniable.

His disciples initially thought otherwise and the scriptures categorically call that position doubt and unbelief.

"changed" implies alteration, not annihilation or replacement.
"inherit" does not mean the same thing as "enter."

it is quite perplexing that you are "unaware" of scriptures that say the body is raised and redeemed when not only i but other people in this thread have repeatedly given them to you.

our flesh does not "inherit" the kingdom because salvation is not by works, which are physical attributes - it is through faith, which is a non-physical attribute. inheriting eternal life by being born of the Spirit does not preclude the redemption of our bodies ((which Paul in Romans 8 explicitly calls the very hope of our salvation)) - in fact it is for that very reason Christ rose.

if the body was not to be redeemed then Christ rose for nothing. if all that salvation entailed was the redemption of our spiritual component then all that would be necessary is death - hasn't Ecclesiastes 12:7 been mentioned?
buy much more than that, Christ rose from the dead, bodily!!

Does the Father have a flesh body?
is it the Father that we will be like, or the Son?

1 John 3:2
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

The Father and the Son are one. But let’s use the son in this scenario, for discussions sake.
When will we be like Him? When will He be revealed to us? The day of the Lord?

“Christ clearly rose with a body of flesh. that is undeniable. “

yeah we haven’t disagreed there. I’ve never in my life lol claimed Jesus didn’t rise from the dead bodily . You aren’t hearing what I’m even saying .

whatever arguments we want to make about what type of body should be found here this year s what he’s talking about

“But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:35, 42‬ ‭

aid we want to know about this subject we just have to listen to the apostle explai. It Paul understood Jesus was raised up from death like you do and I do but he’s still explaining to bekievers about this subject and look at what he’s saying

“So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; ( flesh that decays ) it is raised in incorruption:( spirit ) it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: it is sown( dies) a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. ( there is an earthly body and a heavenly body )

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; ( genesis 2)the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, ( while on earth ) we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.( after we leave earth )

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:42-45, 48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Im not sure but we can see several things here there is a natural body for this world , and a spiritual body for the next . Consider Lazarus the beggar and the rich man they both die but Lazarus is seen alive in heaven is this his flesh and blood ? And the rich man dies and is buried and is seen alive I. Hell….is it his flesh and blood in hell ? Or is it in the dust where it came from ?

It seems your misunderstanding what I’m saying I’m not saying g we aren’t going to have an eternal body , I’m saying we can’t see it yet . Because this body we know has to die like a seed dies before it brings forth the plant or flower the seed has its purpose but it’s not the plant it’s just a vehicle to bro g about the plant it has to die before the flowers bloom that’s what Paul’s getting at we do have a body that’s eternal it’s just not the one we are in now .

That changing is like a seed that’s planted and dies , later the flower grows

at his flesh has to die because it’s corrupt , our new bodies are made like Christs glorified body incorruptable not being flesh and blood but spirit.

esrthly bodies will never enter heaven or the new creation to come we have new ones in Christ

If our spirit returns to God when we physically die then what is raised in the resurrection?
Big brother it’s why I’ve quoted this to you you are asking this question which Paul explains following this verse

“But some ( post hu) man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

air you read the whiles chapter you’ll see why o quoted the parts I did following this oir flesh body is for earth we can’t see the eternal thkngs yet we aren’t finished with this world yet

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

everything in Christ is a promise it’s almost as if we are on a journey home in this life and we’re driving a vehicle we are the driver inside , our flesh and blood is like a vehicle we’re driving and controlling eventually we’re going to part this world and we’ll part this body and enter the kingdom if we repent and believe him , if not the last resurrection is about us if we don’t repent and believe him but the flesh body fulfills “ thou shalt surely die “

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we die but through Christ Jesus our spirit lives on and returns to him rather than sleeping in our body until the end. See remember the man on the cross who believed ? He really was with Jesus that same day in paradise when he died he parted his dead body and was released from death spiritually because of Christ . Our new bodies rent made from adams but will be made of Christs perfect incorruptable body when we have a new heaven and earth

Flesh isn’t the same Jesus flesh isn’t like adams one is corruptable one overcame the world and temptation the other fell and bc erupted the world and his offspring

We have bodies but like everything in Christ it’s a promise ahead and we can’t yet see it we’re only a glimmer of what we shall be in him after death

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6, 8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

our new bodies are spiritual bodies like Paul explains the new creation is heaven and earth perfect flesh but not this flesh this flesh is of Adams geneology we are the children of God but …..it’s not fully come yet we have to die first bedsides the very last people alive that day they will be instantly changed from flesh to spiritual bodies because flesh and blood is of this world not the kingdom

“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The ot was about this world but

“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5-6, 20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a everyone has to die who’s ever sinned because of the laws conclusions thisnis why we have to be born again of the spirit to have everlasting life,

because of this conclusion

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The first man the living soul of the earth has to die , but because of Christ and being born of the spirit by faith we have a spiritual incorruptable body waiting that is the image of the heavenly sons of god

“And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and was transfigured( changed) before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can’t see the spiritual yet but it’s there God has always been right there but by the flesh we can’t see the spiritual yet until we part the flesh and blood I’d say just read what Paul’s written he’s literally explaining the answer to your question because it’s a valid question they wondered about even then it’s why he’s written about it .

this body is like a pattern a poor veiled earthly pattern of what he has in store for us …..but everything I’ve ever said here is my own opinion and just reading and then understsnding what I myself have read and think I understand i don’t claim anyone else needs to think it I could be way wrong about everything I think , but I try to my own understanding which isnt spectacular or anything lol I try to remain with just what’s there it seems basic like any subject we just study and let it change our minds or confirm what we thought prior.

But others have different methods of how they understand things god knows either way and if I have a worms body lol ill Be happy with eternity

yes like Christ's body.

which is a body of flesh, in which is no curse of the ground from sin, hence no corruption - yet is still flesh.

The exact flesh of Christ is what rose from the dead, flesh. His tomb is empty.

He also ascended to heaven in the very same flesh.

He is The Firstfruits of the dead, and we will likewise rise, our own flesh, changed, free from the corruption brought into this flesh by sin.

in Him was & is no sin - and His flesh never saw corruption. we have never known a body of flesh without the corruption of sin, but we will one day, when the very hope in which we were saved is brought about: to wit, the redemption of our bodies, quoth Paul, Romans 8

Not abdication of the flesh; redemption of it

i believe Christ rose in the flesh, and He will likewise raise us, because that is exactly what scripture says.

Romans 6:5
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection
HHe was born, lived and died and rose incorruptible.
We were born, live and will die corruptible, but will rise in incorruption.
That Christ was manifest in the flesh & bodily rose proves unquestionably that flesh is not impossible to exist in incorruption.

Had Adam not sinned, he would have at some point received eternal life. There is no mention of a new body prepared for him.
