I wanna know what was wrong with Katy's performance. PRETTY sure you didn't watch it. It's a cute scene of her playing dress-up with Elmo. People bash her b/c she's hot. It's stupid.
Honestly FSU I didn't see it until a few seconds ago on Youtube, I think an attempt was made to cover up but still she wanted to appear as sexy. They showed her top and bottom separately so not to highlight how short the dress was. I think a slightly classier dress could've been used. I could understand how some parents could be offended. That said I don't see what the controversy was all about really when kids see worse things walking the streets calling themselves sexy.

This is the beginning of a REALLY funny comedy movie. The strange lady hiding in Target, in fear of the homos. They're not like vampires, they can't turn you gay by biting you hahahaha. Don't fear what you don't understand.

I'm not 'scared' of them, there's nothing to fear. I'm just repulsed by their lifestyle choice, and the arguments they bring. They had plaquards that read things like 'Jesus had 2 daddies' etc. Um, no he didn't, not sure what point you're trying to make, but you're wrong!

Honestly, I'm not scared of them. I have an uncle who is gay. I strongly disapprove of his choice, but I don't hate him, and I'm certainly not scared of him.

Also, I understand perfectly. I'm not a hater, I just shudder at the thought of how far from God our nation is turning. That's my point.

Anyway, you've made up your mind, which is fine. I'm not here to argue. Just making a point. No more posts from me here.

Wow a lot happened when I was making my first thread.:D
Lol see what you started? It's good that you did it, remind me to rep you. I can't believe someone will call themselves a Christian and still believe in and support something that is clearly not a Godly way of living. It's like praising God and satan with the same lips.

God's children need never fear, the Lord will judge those who practice iniquity. I would avoid too much contact with the ungodly unless if they want to hear about Christ. If they don't I'll dust off my sandals and be on my way.

Saying that all gay people are NON-Christians is kind of short sided, don't you think?

No it's a fact, you're either following Christ or you're following your own fleshly desires. Who is your master? Jesus or yourself. Before you answer that remember a self which is lord over itself is also a slave to itself. And you can't raise yourself from the dead can you? Gay people are not Christians I'll go on record and say it. They may think they are but may God bear me witness it's in the book Matthew 7: 21-23. HTH.

You can hate the actions but not the people, God clearly states in his word that homosexuals are one of those who will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
Yes, I don't hate anybody. Hate is a very strong word and there is no way that I would feel that way towards someone just because they make choices I don't agree with. I make poor choices often myself. I think that when we truly realize that we are all imperfect and sinful, we have more compassion and understanding for everyone else.

That's why we have to forgive in order to be forgiven. How can we truly recieve forgiveness when we can't give it to others? Such an attitude denies that we ourselves need salvation and have made mistakes. It means we have not come to a place where we realize just how unworthy we are of the blessings God has given us, most importantly through His Son Jesus.

This is getting kinda funny. Lets see, I have no issues with gya people, some of my best friends are gay. And as for the marriage thing, I dont know how it is in Australia, but here in the US the term marriage is way to loaded and has been highly secularized. If people dont want gays to get married, then extends the rights of marriage to everyone without the institution. Having a 'religious' institution like marriage being a signal of providing certain people with civil rights is a terrible idea in the first place. So Im all for the gays getting equal civil rights, its not like they are going to go on massive conversion rampages or anything.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.
Some sense has finally entered. I HATE HATE HATE that the religious right (super conservative Republicans) in the US have blown up marriage to be this huge political issue when it's a PERSONAL relationship between you, your spouse, and your God. Not the state. Marriages licenses as they are today only came out b/c of civil rights and blacks trying to marry whites here in the US. It wouldn't be a huge issue if we weren't racist idiots to begin with. If we had just NOT hated people to begin with, we wouldn't have the hatred directed at gays today. The other guy in my picture, to MY right, is my best friend and fraternity brother. He's gay and he is marrying his partner soon. As the best man, I'm in charge of everything like planning stuff and it baffles me that his partner's (maid of honor, I guess?) and I have to call a few different places before someone is willing to do the food and FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS -.- because they don't agree with his "choice." I can't wait for the day that he and his future husband can just be who they are without being discriminated.

As with marriage licenses and the black/white and now gay issue, Hate begets hate. Grow up, people.

Well the brother I mentioned in the above post ^ is gay and a Christian. He's more pious than I am and most people judge and ridiculue him. A lot of gays, because he believes in God and is waiting until he's married to have sex with his fiance, and a lot of "christians" because he just wants to live the way he was born and be happy with his husband AND Jesus.

Don't question my loyalty and love to Jesus. Ever.

The Bible is quite clear on how God feels about homosexuality, so i dont understand why this is even a debate.

You're black, right? Meaning, in America, my family could own your family. And the Bible supported it.

No, I'm not racist OR for slavery. But I'm saying that people can make the Bible say ANYTHING if they try hard enough.

I think it's dangerous that such a book that can have a wide range of interpretation is the basis of the Christian religion.

Yeah I've been thinking that for years. Especially when you factor in a lot of them believe if you don't interpret it correctly you'll burn for all of eternity. So glad I'm so good at interpreting things! Which reminds me, LOL means lots of logs right? Or maybe left out leaking? Layered on lacquer? Let's ogle Lucy?
