I know that the parents of the 12 year old girl who had a NDE were told not to share it, not to make a book and make merchandise of their daughters experience. But the daughter wasn't told not to share it.

I know others were told to "first" go to the priest and talk to them, but that doesn't mean that "second" they couldn't go share it.
I asked this question because we are saved by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony. There were many people saved that the Lord told to testify. The woman at the well and the demon possessed man in the tombs are two examples. There were people healed from leprosy which indicates rebellion, and they were told to first go and talk to the priests. But I was wondering if anyone who was healed was told not to speak?

There was the woman who tried to get healed secretly by touching the fringe of His garment and He would not allow her to be hidden but required that she come forward and share her testimony.

Did Jesus ever tell anyone who had been healed to not share their testimony?

Yes.

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and
Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

Thanks, it is interesting that Jesus heals these two blind men and one dumb man and this provokes the Pharisees to say He was casting out demons by the prince of the demons. The chapter begins with Him healing a man sick of the palsy right in front of the Pharisees, then Jesus teaches you can't put new cloth on an old garment.

Now these two blind men that he straitly charged to not make Him known, they went throughout the land and spread his fame in all the land. The Bible commentators cannot explain this, but I think we can look at the fact that they "spread his fame in all that country". How would you do that? Were they traveling preachers? Were they performers? This isn't simply sharing your testimony. For example I could see someone not wanting to on ABC news, or Saturday Night Live.

Obviously this was an exception and not the rule. Jesus healed people in front of others all the time and Jesus told them to tell their testimony to those they knew of the great things God had done for them. But imagine if this were Alex Jones, getting healed by the Lord should not become part of his schtick to boost his ratings. The word for fame means to "blaze abroad" and the word for "spread abroad" is the same word. It is like saying they "blazed Blazed". It is like a video going viral on Youtube.

With many people the problem is they are reluctant to speak or share. But with these two blind men it seems they were more than willing to share anything that might go "viral on youtube".

So then let's go back to this word "see that no man know it". This term "no man" is first used when he charged those cleansed from leprosy to first go to the priests according to the law.

So it seems to me and this is simply a theory, that these two were traveling showmen, charlatans, performers, clowns. Jesus strictly charged them not to make this part of their show but they ignored Him and rather than causing people to come to the Lord as which happened with the woman at the well, their using this miracle caused the Pharisees to say He was casting out demons by the prince of the demons.

A false prophet is not someone who speaks falsehoods. That is a misperception. Balaam was a false prophet and his prophecies are part of the word of God and Daniel used his prophecy to tell the Magi in Babylon what sign they would see in the heavens when Jesus was born. Judas was also a false prophet and yet he had all the same experiences as the other 11 disciples. What made Judas and Balaam false was they were motivated by money. Peter tells us that false prophets will "make merchandise of you".

So what Jesus told these two blind men seems to me very similar to what God told Balaam about not going to Balak. I used to think God told Balaam he could go, but that is not true. He told him "if they come again he could go" but they never came again, instead he took that as a yes and jumped on his donkey.

Curing blindness from birth was unheard of... so it is no small wonder they wanted to broadcast the fact of their healing!

John 9:32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.

John 9:33 If this man were not from God, He could do no such thing.

What does the Church of Ephesus receive from Jesus Christ for overcoming?
They would get to eat from the `tree of Life.`

Christ is the source of eternal life. He continually sustains and nourishes us in our life now and throughout eternity. The proof of this `life` is seen in our service and relationships with others. As we cooperate with the Holy Spirit we will experience the fruitfulness of a Christ led life.

Thus, the picture of Christ as the `Tree of Life,` shows this fruitful life through us by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ as the Tree of Life sure does bear much fruit…. I agree, He is the One sustaining and nourishing us… apart from Him, we can do nothing.

Thanks Lafftur,

So, Rev. 8: 3 & 4, What Feast Day of Israel is that?

And if you are clever, what Lunar/solar month is it celebrated in Israel today?
The golden altar is in the Holy of Holies, and you enter the Holy of Holies by the prayers of the saints, the incense altar, and so that would be the High priest, Jesus, entering the Holy of Holies on the day of Atonement. This year it will be Oct 10-11.

Very good detail there ZNP.

It is now your turn to ask a question.

Very good detail there ZNP.

It is now your turn to ask a question.
OK, I do have a question about another holy day, or actually a counterfeit holy day. Let me give a little background in case anyone doesn't understand the question:

Vines defines this term Antichrist:

can mean either "against Christ" or "instead of Christ," or perhaps, combining the two, "one who, assuming the guise of Christ, opposes Christ" (Westcott). The word is found only in John's epistles,

So Antichrist is a counterfeit Christ just like Paul says that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. Now we know that Satan and the fallen angels are cast down to earth when the Man Child is caught up.

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Jesus was conceived on a Holy convocation (dress rehearsal), He was born on a Holy convocation, He was baptized on a Holy convocation, He started His ministry on a Holy convocation, Crucified on a Holy convocation, buried on a holy convocation, resurrected on one and ascended on one and then poured out the spirit on Pentecost on one. So it occurs to me that a counterfeit Christ is also going to have a counterfeit "holiday" to depict all the fallen angels and demons cast down to earth and walking the streets during the three days of darkness.

So I am wondering if anyone can tell me the "holiday" that Satan has? It would come "as a thief in the night", then you would have the streets filled with demons and evil beings at the start of the three days of darkness. During these three days the "synagogue of Satan" would have to come and worship at the feet of the church in Philadelphia. That would include both the saints who were raptured and the dead in Christ who also rose.

The question is really quite simple, we will have a counterfeit Christ and therefore we will have a dress rehearsal for this counterfeit just as the genuine Christ had many Holy convocations. Today in the US is there such a holiday as I have described?
