Pastor was talking just last night about when his son broke his leg on the football field there just happened to be an ambulance going by right at that time, there just happened to be an orthopedic doctor in the stands or he would have lost his leg because the artery was pinched, the orthopedic doctor just happened to have a new doctor who specialized in football injuries...
I commented that if football injuries are so prevalent that we need a doctor who specializes in them, maybe find a different sport. This one seems a bit dangerous.
I agree, don't really care what the final score is just a long as the Lions come out on top.

On paper, their team really isn't that good. However, they score a lot of points, and that is mostly due to their offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson. He is probably going to the Raiders next year as their new head coach, so if the Lions don't win it this year, then I don't expect that they will win it anytime over the next few years. To quote Elvis Presley out of context, "It's now or never." I'd be content with never. I'm truly not a Lions fan, but I do think that they will win it all this year.
Btw, since when do Christians root for the Lions?
What would Daniel and those in the Colosseum think?

The Cowboys' new head coach will inevitably be another puppet. They will never go anywhere as a team as long as Jerry Jones is the owner. I really don't care about football, but I am amazed to see how many bad business decisions have been made in the NFL recently. In relation to the Cowboys, paying Dak Prescott, a perennial loser, an exorbitant amount of money was not a good business decision, and they might lose Micah Parsons as a result. Bringing back Ezekiel Elliot at running back? He's been washed up for years. That organization is going in reverse, and you can thank Jerry Jones for that.
Whenever I hear people talking like that, I think about those big city fighting rings where people go to watch fights and bet on them. Your favorite fighter may win or lose, but all the fighters are still owned by the fighting ring and the house is the ultimate winner.

As bad as they are and have been for many years, the Dallas Cowboys are the richest sports franchise in the world. They were recently valued at 10.1 billion dollars, and they absolutely stink.
Me?
I wouldn't give a perpetually losing organization like that even a penny of my money. However, like you said, "the house," or the NFL, still wins big. Between ticket sales, jersey sales, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, etc., the NFL, team owners, and players are all raking in the dough, and the fans are left to foot the bill.

They had some good years when Jimmy Johnson was their head coach, but Jerry Jones' ego wouldn't allow Johnson to get any of the glory, and that was that.
I don't give any of them any of my money. I don't follow any professional sports... just a bunch of overpaid, narcissistic, prima-donnas.
The only sports I will bother to watch at all are college level, and I don't watch much of those... "sports" don't interest me much.
Sorry if this is off-topic but two main sports that interest me are pool and backgammon.
I can play pool for 14 hours standing, which is pretty impressive for a man my age.
