Others here have given you some solid suggestions... No one can say whether they would date someone if they don't know anything about each other.
Take a look at some of the threads here and jump right in with your own questions and answers. It's going to take some time and effort, but get to know people here, and let them get to know you.

Once upon a time, I was getting to know a guy who didn't want me to drink coffee (for religious reasons). That didn't go far lol.
