I have no problem with countries looking out for their best interests. I'd like to see the same thing happen for America. To say that America hasn't been taken advantage of is ridiculous. If countries were trading with the US fairly, there would be no tariffs now.Agree, countries much like people, do not appreciate being bullied, Trunk tried the tough guy approach as if it was a real estate deal and it will fail, bigly.
And this idea of "unfair" again as @Cameron states needs to be viewed in context of a super economy and other smaller economies, smaller economies need to protect some of their industries.
A trade deficit means the USA has been a willing consumer and living above their means and now that want other countries to suffer with them.
I get that you live in a country that benefits to the detriment of citizens here and you don't want to lose that advantage. But the President of the United States should do what is best for the people he represents. Whether one agrees with his methods or not, Trump is doing what he believes will benefit all Americans. This is why he was elected.
