have you the palate for Japanese food TabinRivCa?
Absolutely, last Friday I got 2 trays of sushi. However, there are also so many Japanese buffets around here, and as tempting as it is, I'm going to back out of the contest(?)😂. Plus I don't want to be saddled with the pressure of keeping track of the page numbers, lol, along with all my other duties🙌😊. Jk here of course, but aren't most of us going to be glancing at the page numbers now?🤣🤣🤣

it sure is TabinRivCa. that's 1 of the top Japanese restaurants in the world! if you like J. food, definitely put it on your list.
Good news😂....there's a Nobu in LA, same brand, lunch starting $135🙌! So would you consider sending a gift card and I take pics of me dining there (if I happen to win)?👍😂 🤣

First thought: A high class place like Nobu does gift cards?

(quick google)

Huh. Nobu does gift cards.

Okay, for years I have said that I have all I need and all I want, to the point that I can't even think of anything I want for Christmas. But that has changed. Now I know something I want for Christmas. :D

I have to admit, and this is going to sound silly, but fancy places make me nervous.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to bow out of this contest. :p

Does anyone ever worry about what they would wear to such a fancy place? I've only been to a few fancy places, and of course dressed accordingly, but those days are long past and these days, I don't have anything I could really wear at such a place. I wouldn't want to be disrespectful in my manner of dressing -- and would have to get a new fancy outfit just for the occasion.

It sounds lovely!!! I LOVE looking at different places for their architecture and decor, but I'm just a girl next door in jeans and a t-shirt -- I'd never look like I actually had any business being in such beautiful places! :geek:

They don’t allow smoking in those fancy places so I guess steaks on the grill and beer should be the prize.🤨
Now a backyard BBQ is a dress code I can handle!!

So the people who go to Nobu can send us fabulous pics and videos, while the others of us will be having a cookout at Susanna's!

(I'll pass on the beer -- more for everyone else -- and I might throw a few burgers on the grill instead of steaks, but I'm sure it will be a smokin' good time!)

For Christmas I would like a new coffee mug. Of course, that depends on whether I will be naughty or nice. A bit problematic for sure.

Quite literally a smokin’ good time in every aspect of the saying.

Then the suits and the dresses can have their fun at a fancy restaurant.😂

If you’re not nice at least you will get coal so you can make your coffee next Christmas, granted you have been nice next year.😂

If they are getting $135 bucks for my lunch, they had better accept me showing up in sweatpants and a t-shirt, or even a tutu. If they want to be picky about how I dress, they should lower their prices. A lot.

Well...

That's exactly why places like that have prices like that.

To keep rowdy commoners like me at bay. 😎

My grill parties also allow tutus.🤣
