Trust me when I say I am nothing, I am truly the foolish things of the world, & in all I understand the once arrogant, and prideful position held in my heart has been beaten into a corner.

That said I am still full of rebellion in my own way, and praise THE GREAT G-D of JACOB still under HIS Education (training as I understand) & Mercy, & of Course it is by Grace we are saved, not of works lest any man should boast.

I see this as there is no deal to be made with G-D to get me into heaven, only Grace & the Blood of JESUS, yet I have a KING, and it is foolishness to remain in rebellion against HIM, joining in spirit with the
enemy

three things occur to me that one might think, 1) I am lying, which will do me/us Christians no good, 2) I misunderstood or am delusional, you judge 3) I am telling the truth & as Christians you should encourage me to follow my Direction from JESUS

-------
I was told to warn them about being lukewarm warm

To explain to them what that means
------------

my understanding of being lukewarm warm is when we pray hot, ( I suggest three hours a day, as The late John Wesley said. I read in his journals (in good faith) "he never thought much of a Christian that did not pray three hours a day")

Read your Bible, ( I also need to adhere to my own advice)

Sing Unto The Lord ( again much work needed here by me)

-------
cold would be partaking in the things of the world, (symbolic Egypt).... may include tv, phone, internet, gambling, gaming and such the like.... the lusts of the world, lack of temperance (control), ( mammon, food )

The list here is quite extensive, the lusts of the flesh, promoting self, our wants, promoting the devils kingdom in our hearts, or in the physical world. in a sense agreeing with the rebellion against G-D Almighty in our hearts! doing what you want, promoting self.

As opposed to death to self, the self can never put JESUS 1st in our hearts.

Only by G-D's Precious HOLY SPIRIT Can we mortify the deeds of the flesh, and have JESUS in HIS RIGHTFUL Position in our hearts.

Praying and Reading our Bibles, we collect G-D'S Spirit in all I understand, our food, our strength, our power, lent for the day.... ( as The People of the Book, Collected the Manna daily, each morning anew (symbolic))

when we engage in things of the world (flesh) we drain this strength, leaving us Luke warm... if your not even praying three hours a day or reading our Bibles, what temperature do you think we are? For we start our day Luke warm at best in all I understand.

I think many, many books could be written on the subject of Luke warm Christians and what this means, this is a small snap shot.

one thing I am learning the hard way, is this walk is most serious, although we are to carry The Joy of the LORD in our hearts always.

I am learning when The G-D of Jacob Gives me Direction, it is a very, very serious matter, not to adhere.

lo I have told you

may G-D Bless all that have read this far, IN JESUS GREAT NAME, especially my Christian Family. May The GREAT G-D of Abraham encourage you in JESUS MIGHTY NAME I pray.

until that day, in love & peace your brother in CHRIST

Welcome to CC. :)

Every Christian can expect to hear the voice of the Lord (John 10:3, 4, 27). It has nothing to do with you but everything to do with Him.

Whether this message is for you or for others is for you to process with Him.

We all need to have humility, and this may mean turning the temperature down when sharing our opinions.
IMHO you are correct to say "of Course it is by Grace we are saved, not of works lest any man should boast",
so I caution you not to turn praying, singing and reading the Bible into a system of works.

I actually received a word of awakening

Beloved children of the Most High, awake, awake, for the dawn of My glory is rising upon you! The hour of slumber is passing, and I am breathing a holy fire into the hearts of My people. I am stirring the embers of first love, and they shall burn once again with a flame that cannot be quenched.

Do you not see? The shaking that surrounds you is not to destroy but to awaken. I am calling My church to arise from compromise, to cast off the garments of weariness, and to clothe herself in strength, purity, and light. My Spirit is moving like the sound of many waters, reviving dry bones, and filling empty vessels with the oil of My presence.

The days ahead will not be for the faint of heart, but for those who are rooted in Me, I will be your strength and your song. I am raising up a people who will shine like blazing torches in the night, declaring My name with boldness and love. Fear not, for My Spirit within you is greater than the darkness around you.

I call you, My body, to unity—love one another as I have loved you. Let your hearts be tender toward one another, for in the unity of love, My glory will dwell. This is the hour of awakening; lift up your eyes, for the fields are ripe for harvest. I am pouring out new wine, and I seek willing vessels to carry it to the nations.

Rise, Bride of Christ! Your Bridegroom comes with fire in His eyes and healing in His wings. Prepare the way of the Lord and stand in the strength of My Spirit. I am with you, and I will not fail you."

I appreciate your comment, I hope I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, I am simply trying to be obedient to what I absolutely feel in my heart of hearts JESUS has told me to proclaim.

As a Christian I understand what having my cup full means, ( not receptive to new trains of teaching ) some times us Christians are the hardest to reach, myself included. ( in my humble experience)

I think that works is being exploited by the enemy... yet I am not trying to change your mind, only proclaim, That's The HOLY SPIRITS Area to TEACH us.

The question I might pose to you is this, IF JESUS has truly Commanded me to proclaim a message, HE KNOWS what I am going to proclaim, As HE Has been Educating me, I might start there..

If you think I am a liar, or delusional, or I simply have over stepped my mandate. Or you understand better than me, you have your answer..

Perhaps the message I say are for those that have ears to hear, but I digress, pray on the matter I would suggest.

In truth & love, I have not come to deceive but to edify, All The POWER & GLORY are to THE GOD of Jacob.

The praying, Bible, Singing, are what is going to keep your temperature Rising, while the world cools you off. if you think Luke warm Christians spewed out of JESUS MOUTH, are on there way to the GLORY LAND, again you have your answer... I my friend, do not believe such things. AS The BIBLE Tells me different!

AMEN, AMEN & again I say Amen, beautiful, going to read that a few times for certain. Praise JESUS

The problem I sense is a budding Pope complex combined with a superficial understanding of what GW teaches is HOT,
which is LOVE, not an emotional song or prayer time, however much fun those may be. God revealed Himself to Elijah in a whisper,
not the wind and fire.

& the Greatest of these is Love

no argument there,

as for the budding pope complex, and superficial understanding

not sure we know each other well enough for all that.. yet your opinion is yours, and I do not try and change it...

either way I love you,, haha, as you pointed out, love is the answer

until that day!

Well, if you agree that love is the answer, then I am no longer concerned about a judgmental attitude.
I may have been a little touchy because of being excommunicated by Ouch recently and by Magenta previously,
who are the opposite of lukewarm regarding what they believe about water baptism and moral free will.
Sorry.

its always a good sign, when Christian can find peace, I appreciate it, & I certainly believe nothing is more important than love.

water baptism and morale free will not my area of expertise, so to speak,, the water baptism I always think of death to self ( the old) as you go under the water, and arise a new creature ready to live unto G-D in The Spirit.

peace brother, I do think it's important we encourage each other, be encouraged, we are family & I have often thought we Christians have much more we agree on in JESUS, and perhaps should spend more time here, yet I am new to the group and on line Chat, knowing very little of what truly transpires

Well, I do my best to encourage spiritual unity based on belief in the following explanation of God's requirement for salvation:

The normative way of stating the kerygma/GRFS in the NT is “Accept Christ Jesus as Lord” (as in 2Cor. 4:5 & Col. 2:6). The main points of Christian orthodoxy implicit in this statement can be explained or elaborated as follows:
  1. There is a/one all-loving and just Lord or God (Deut. 6:4, John 3:16, 2Thes. 1:6), who is both able (2Tim. 1:12) and willing (1Tim. 2:3-4, Ezek. 33:11) to provide all morally accountable human beings salvation or heaven—a wonderful life full of love, joy and peace forever.
  2. Human beings are selfish or sinful (Rom. 3:23, 2Tim. 3:2-4, Col. 3:5), miserable (Gal. 5:19-21), and hopeless (Eph. 2:12) or hell-bound at the judgment (Matt. 23:33 & 25:46) when they reject God’s salvation (John 3:18, Rom. 2:5-11).
  3. Jesus is God’s Messiah/Christ and incarnate Son, the way that God has chosen (JN 3:16, ACTS 16:30-31, PHP 2:9-11) of providing salvation by means of his atoning death on the cross for the payment of the penalty for the sins of humanity (RM 3:22-25 & 5:9-11), followed by his resurrection to reign in heaven (1CR 15:14-28).
  4. Thus, every person who hears the NT Gospel needs to repent and accept God’s justification in Jesus as Christ/Messiah the Lord or Supreme Commander (LK 2:11, JN 14:6, ACTS 16:31), which means trying to obey His commandment to love one another (MT 22:37-40, JN 13:35, RM 13:9)—forever (MT 10:22, PS 113:2).
  5. Then God’s Holy Spirit will establish a saving relationship with those who freely accept Him (RV 3:20) that will eventually achieve heaven when by means of persevering in learning Truth/God’s Word/sanctification everyone cooperates fully with His will (JN 14:6, 17&26, RM 8:6-17, GL 6:7-9, EPH 1:13-14, HB 10:36, 12:1, JM 1:2-4).
Although perfection is not achieved in this life, the necessity of learning the didache in order to strive for perfection indicates the need for perseverance or to keep on learning and growing spiritually until we die physically (Phil. 3:12-14).

As I read your statement it occurs to me we are to love G-D with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, & all our strength... & our neighbour as ourselves, ( as you stated)

not that you did not imply loving G-D, you never wrote it!
so I may say in my original post perhaps you looked for what wasn't there as well...

I suggest perhaps, prayer, Bible Reading, & Singing unto the LORD in JESUS GREAT NAME, could fall under this loving G-D & not works.

I suggested in my post, it is our strength, our food (manna/symbolic) also commanded, as the Bible says many times pray without ceasing!

As opposed to works,, were I am saying I am singing to earn my way to heaven,,, it is sortov silly when a true child of G-D thinks about such a thing no?. earning my way to heaven by prayer or reading my Bible?

the closer I get to JESUS the more I realize I could never deserve or earn anything good, let alone eternal salvation & the forgiveness of sins, especially as I am the chief sinner!!!

in peace & love brother, not meant as conflict, just dialogue.

an after thought, is when I pray to G-D in JESUS GREAT NAME, this is collecting my strength so I am truly able to love ( hopefully) my neighbour as myself.. so prayer/worship enables me to love others!

Well, loving God is in Matt. 22:37-40 in #4, but you are correct in saying that it is important enough to be stated explicitly. Thanks.

And yes, p-b-s can/should be motivated by love for God, but they can become legalistic if one is not careful.
(It is interesting/ironic that "pray without ceasing" is not legalistic, whereas "pray three hours per day" probably is legalistic.)

I love your desire for dialogue, so may we continue in this spirit! My "words from the Lord" are shared in various CC threads
as well as on our website: <truthseekersfellowship.com> .

I also love music, so I wonder whether you would want to share what you like to sing?
For example, a hymn that played a part in my profession of faith is "Love Lifted Me",
which I guess you are too young to be familiar with, but the lyrics are:

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Refrain: Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll cling,
In His blessed presence live, ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs,
Faithful, loving service, too, to Him belongs. (refrain)

Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves;
He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today. (refrain)

(refrain)

Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves;
He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today. (refrain)

------
(was my favourite for a time)
love lifted me up, I have totally sung this, requested this at church, and also photo copied the lyrics... haha,,, I am not as young as I appear.

ok you say 3 hours a day sounds legalistic, will not argue the point, only rather I quoted John Wesley as I remember from his journals.
( I certainly would not tell John Wesley he is legalistic, haha, I would hope I would spend more time listening to this man of G-D)

his quote was he never thought much of a Christian that did not pray three hours a day, I take this to mean... your telling me of your problems & you do not even pray three hours a day,,, why don't you go pray three hours a day, and see if the problem is still there?

when I say three hours a day that I would suggest it gives people something to hang on to, and not be dismissive.. how many people hear pray without ceasing, and perhaps give it little thought (do you ponder)? an encouraging reminder. ( had a hard time turning the bold off here)

I will check out the site truth seekers fellowship, next week.. long weekend of work ahead of me.. until then. ( & looking forward to it !)

there was a song, until we meet again, many others I will familiarize
myself with, perhaps you will help motivate me to sing again!

Mark12-30.png

Mark 12 verse 30 ~ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

May The GREAT G-D of Abraham encourage you in JESUS MIGHTY NAME I pray.

until that day, in love & peace your brother in CHRIST

so, elated you are sincere
I see
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
that would be 24/7, how can anyone get anything done here on earth if our heads are forever bowed, eyes closed, and hands clasped together?

So prayer is not as stated prayer is by religion is it?, or is it? Since we are to never cease from praying to God
So, what are we praying for at least three hours a day? Is it for self only, and those we agree with only in our religion(s)?
You, decide and thank you for being fervent to Know Father and Son. I am in process also
I do not see Father, Daddy, PaPa and Son as religious, do you?
I, see for me if religious, then it is me trying to get God to be pleased by me doing things right over things wrong. When it assuredly pleases others around me and maybe not God, you think?
God is the creator, I am God's creation. I see. to respond to God and stop creating. you think, I think? thanks some gold nuggets for us all to hear from Father of risen Son Jesus
And might even ask this as well to Father.
How, can you Father get anyone to love you in truth, without taking away free will?
