I believe that the context of Spiritual gifts were the reason for Pauls address. I would implore you to read Acts 10, and ask yourself the question of why does it say they received the Baptism and their speaking in tongues - but even more importantly, why did it say that the Tongue was not interpreted? It also did not state that unbelievers were around either. Acts 19. Approach it with an open heart and to understand it.

Why would the name of the university bring up issues?
What good is a degree from a university that would bring up issues?
Who says it is very good?
I suppose it's more of a personal issue, I'd rather not put my personal life and be specific to which university. But I love it and I really love learning.

Seem strange to me that someone announced they are getting a degree from a university but not willing to mention its name.
Hopefully you will continue to learn and not just repeat what you were taught by a university you do not want to name.

It's the duality of our walk: with God and with men. Favor with God and favor with men are not mutually exclusive. God receives both the lawyer and a fisherman into His service (and the prostitute... but that requires some explanation for those who have trouble hearing the Lord) . It just so happens that there are some lawyers and fishermen whom God loves.
P.S. There are some who have trouble believing that Jesus had to increase in wisdom, stature, and favor with God.

I understand, but it is more so to say that I am getting the degree nonetheless. I think it's fun to talk about doctrine and I love understanding God's word deeper.
Well, this is very simple - most believers are not studied nor have they been told the text exists. You must remember that the normal Christian is not a scholar, nor do they understand where their belief comes from (I'm talking progressional development through Church History. We know faith is from God). I one hundred percent agree that a person should understand and learn from Church history.
Our faith is a relationship with the indwelling Christ, not merely talking about Him or reading His Book.

I am sorry, but I must disagree with you. The word tells us and instructs us to study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim. 2:15). While the word is hearing his voice, we often disregard and put off the responsibility of study. This is where we often lack. We must not base our entire theology or our beliefs off of what we believe on a whim, but rather we should explore everything we believe and receive from heaven through His word. Yes, knowing God is much more than education. Education, however, is still valuable and teaches people a right way to divide the word of truth, and also is a way to understand the years prior. Think of it like this - a scholar is basically a person who engages in conversation with other scholars - both living and dead. This in turn is translated into simpler means when it comes to reaching people in the Church. Any person I disciple now, I teach them Church history. I show them the roots of our faith. This is the trinity - and this from a scriptural point is why we belief, and this is how the belief formed!
