A person could not be proud of that he or she knows how to humble himself or herself in the eyes of God unless it is being showed by Jesus Christ in his 2nd role as the Son of the living God
1 PETER 2:21
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Therefore: We can humble ourselves by following the example of Jesus Christ as the Son of the living God.

Let us find out the verses where and when he demonstrated the humbleness in the Standard of God.

Here is the verse where Jesus as the Son of the living God demonstrated on how to humble himself in the eyes of God.
Jesus despite of his wisdom.
MATTHEW:13-54
54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.

But when it comes to the way of salvation he claimed he knows nothing and can do nothing.
JOHN 5:19
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Yes, and the question it can also prompt is whether belief in Christ because of desire for the reward of heaven is okay.

Another example showed by Jesus as the Son of the living God.

As we know Jesus never committed sin.
1 PETER 3:18
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Therefore Jesus deserves to call him good.
But as a symbol of humbleness according to God"s Standard.
Jesus never accept that he is good.
LUKE 18:18-19
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

This is God's Standard in humbleness.
Maybe we noticed that many so called Christians are claiming that they are followers of Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, the humbleness in God's Standard demonstrated by Jesus Christ could not see to them

Everybody is claiming they have the knowledge with the words of God.
And although everybody is saying they have sins but they claim that they are doing good things in the eyes of God.

Your judgment are not based on verses to the truth in the words of God.

You are just plainly saying they are wrong but no basis at all. Because it comes in your own perception only.

At least the Scribes & Pharisees were citing the verses in the words of God in the Old Testament as their basis. But they are still considered false Prophets.

Learning proper English is not a basis to the truth. There were people who got save without having proper English.
Having proper English sometimes make you proud of yourself and look your self more than to anybody.
This is not the character of person that Lord Jesus Christ looking for.

If I have sin I will confess to Lod Jesus. Because he is the savior.
1 JOHN 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You want me to ask an apology to you. You are lifting yourself and you are making yourself as God.
This is what God the Father said for those people making themselves as God although they are men only.

It is not what you are saying. It is what the truth saying.

Even the Scribes & Pharisees expressed horrible character of Jesus. But it is not what they say. It is the truth matters.
JOHN 10:20

I can really see the character of Scribes & Pharisees within you.

Lord Jesus always telling the truth John 14:6 and Matthew 24:35.

You are being expose by Lord Jesus with what words you use to say.
You can't do this in anyway.

The humbleness in the standard of God is not acceptable to many people.

So the Lord Jesus said this:
MATTHEW 22:14
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
 
To Humble oneself is to trust Lord Jesus.

Who will trust Lord Jesus by believing his words?
Pertaining to spiritual things. When it comes to the words of God, no one is good.
ROMANS 3:10-12
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

I don’t know whether you are saying these are the same things or your English is inadequate for your purpose.

In 1 Kings 21, Ahab is rebuked for murdering Naboth. He “tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and fasted.” In response God said to Elijah, “Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before Me?”

Ahab did not trust the Lord Jesus… not by a long shot, so your assertion as worded is not correct.
 
Humbleness?
Follow Two Best Examples?:

1) The SON Humbly Submitted To The Father, and Was Sent To earth, as The Humble Servant!
(Luke 4:18; John 5:30, 5:36, 5:37, 6:39, 6:44, 6:57, 7:29, 20:21 AV)

2) The Holy Spirit Was Doubly Humble, Being Sent By Both The Father And The SON!!
(John 14:26, 15:26 AV)

Amen.
