I don't belive its fair to say Paul is speaking for Jesus.
If Paul is not teaching what He got from the Holy Ghost, which the Spirit got from Jesus - then Paul is a heretic!
WHERE did you think the New Testament writers got the revelation from that they wrote down???
Jesus said the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself and only speaks that which He hears which is coming from Jesus - and then Jesus said He only says and does what He sees the Father say and do.
So to help you out here, the teachings come from the Lord thru the Biblical writers.
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. (John 6:28-29, NIV)
I thought you were one of those OSAS faith alone peeps?
Now you are teaching works based salvation? 'Sup with that anyhow?
Note the many times Jesus quotes the Old Testament.
And yet, Jesus was NOT teaching the OT Law.
Luke 16:16 is indicating that the teachings of the Law and the Prophets were in effect until the time of John the Baptist, after which the message of the Kingdom of God began to be preached. It highlights a transition in religious teaching and the introduction of the Gospel.
Jesus was teaching the Doctrine of Christ, aka the Gospel of the Kingdom and Jesus continued His teaching ministry thru the Apostle Paul as well as the other New Testament writers.
Mortification is to suffer to achieve sanctification. This is works based.
We are called to submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit so the works are OF THE LORD.
Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(NOT in our own strength - see Philippians 4:13)
Only those led by the Holy Spirit are the sons of God, those walking after the flesh go to hell when they die.
Choose to agree with the Word of the Lord instead of the false teachers who teach in OPPOSITION to the Word of the Lord like their father the devil.
If you think suffering is going to make you sanctified... then go get a hammer and beat yourself to a bloody pulp and see if that makes you closer to the Lord
Including Paul.
So your claim is Jesus is in ERROR (sin) by failing to prevent the devil to bring teachings in to God's Wo9rd that are not of God???
Jesus taught Jews under the old covenant of the law.
Jesus taught the Gospel of the Kingdom, He did not teach the OT law.
Paul taught the Gospel of the Kingdom too
You do not know what salvation is. You deny the whole point of the sacrifice of Christ His death and resurrection. If you are not saved by grace, you are not saved.
And you just denied what the Lord teaches in His Word.
This is how we know you are sadly listening to devils.
