No it does not that is allegorizing Scripture. improper biblical interpretation.
Amen! I typically hear folks in the CoC use that argument about Naaman but apparently Oneness folks use it as well. Now in regard to Naaman, if being healed from leprosy in water by being immersed 7 times in the Jordan river is an example of being healed from sins in baptism, then we have another case of someone with leprosy being healed that reveals one can be saved without any water. *Read about it in (Luke 5:12-15). *No water is found here.

Naaman was not even a believer until "after" dipping in Jordan. He said "NOW" (after being healed) I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel," (2 Kings 5:15) and vowed to worship only Him (verse 17). If we follow this "example," we will have to baptize unbelievers! Naaman received cleansing from leprosy (not eternal life) after he dipped in the Jordan 7 times, but no sins were literally remitted for Naaman in Jordan. Likewise, water baptism does not literally remit sins.

The NT uses the experience of Naaman as illustrative of the SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD, not of salvation by works/water baptism. Naaman was a heathen, not a believer, and did not know God until the miracle occurred. The purpose of the miracle had nothing to do with salvation by works but was to demonstrate "there is a prophet in Israel" (2 Kings 5:8) and that "there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel," as Naaman found out. (2 Kings 5:15)

It is not my fault you do not understand the meaning of " In the name of" from the KJV which is by the authority of why an act is done or one is sent in representation of one in or has Authority.

There is no example of the method of water Baptism you do not see in scripture any one saying " I baptize you in the name of Jesus and they went down in the water. The method of water Baptism and saying Jesus name only is not even in the word of God.

Forgiveness of sins is by Grace through faith in the Death burial and Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ. NOT of works les any man should boast. Repentance, surrendering , obedience and faith. THe word is Preach of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit convicts, one surrending and see their need to be forgiven they repent call on the name of Lord and confess by faith thier trust in the work of the Cross of Christ, they are saved. Water Baptism in the of Jesus or in the name of the F, S, HS which is the authority by which one is baptizing as Most UPC and other pastor say:

"By the authority given to me BY GOD (the name of their denomination is not always said) and by the profession of your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord "I baptize you in"(by the authority) the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit or in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ .

That is water baptism.
Amen! To be baptized in the name of Jesus is not a reference to a rigid, salvic baptismal formula but is a reference to authority.

Must baptism be “in Jesus’ name”? - CARM

maybe but repenting is the key and you have know why you are doing that before you are water baptized.
....
Think about what you are saying. To refuse to accept what is conveyed by the scripture in its entirety is called partial obedience; which in fact is disobedience. Don't be like Saul, he found out the hard way that partial obedience is not enough.

The scripture specifically says: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, AND be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. "

1 Samuel 15:13-14; 22-24:
"And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the Lord: I have performed the commandment of the Lord.
And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?"

"And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

According to scripture they are.
A burial involves more than sprinkling. (Rom. 6)

There is no evidence in the NT of the need to be sprinkled.

907 baptízō – properly, "submerge" (Souter); hence, baptize, to immerse (literally, "dip under"). 907 (baptízō) implies submersion ("immersion"), in contrast to 472 /antéxomai ("sprinkle").

Jesus came straight up out of the water. (Matt. 3:16, Mark 1:9-10)
Philip and the Ethiopian went down into the water. (Acts 8:38)
Jesus' disciples baptized where there was much water.
Etc.

Did God know that he would be obedient? Do you think obedience is for the benefit of God, or the believer and those that witness their obedience?
The following pertains to the purpose for all that is recorded in the word:

"Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." 1 Cor. 10:11-12

A burial involves more than sprinkling. (Rom. 6) There is no evidence in the NT of the need to be sprinkled.
There is no evidence of pouring or immersion either.
Jesus came straight up out of the water. (Matt. 3:16, Mark 1:9-10)
That doesn't insist on immersion.
Philip and the Ethiopian went down into the water. (Acts 8:38)
So both Philip and the Ethiopian were immersed? If you insist for one you must insist for the other.
Jesus' disciples baptized where there was much water. Etc.
"Much water" doesn't insist on immersion.

These scriptures do not indicate when the blood applied.
that is a good point so lets see what Jesus said on the Cross where HE shed his blood

John 19:30

30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

The debt was paid in full not by water baptism not by speaking in tongues but by the very Blood of Jesus. And it was far reaching to even save a thief next to him.

If Peter told you to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins, would you do it?

Context not just one verse in one chapter. Jesus said baptized in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, you telling me I am to listen to Peter of Our Lord? your question is foolish, and the UPC had to deal with that. Jesus said and the PUC tried to be cute and say what is the name ." ignorant of the fact its not about the name but the authority given to the person by which they do or were sent. " Come in the name of the Lord," "rise and be healed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth."

First off those of the UPC try to name call say we are devils suggest we are not listening to Peter etc...
Many UPC even try to control people by saying if you leave the UPC you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Sorry to tell you

When you say:
  1. when "To refuse to accept what is conveyed by the scripture in its entirety is called partial obedience;"
  2. "Don't be like Saul, he found out the hard way that partial obedience is not enough. "
  3. " For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord,"
Your weak condemnation of me you tried, because you fail to prove your point. You did not even attempt to deal with Acts 2:40-41
or what Jesus said in the scriptures I provided. It was you who tried to suggest condemnation of me just like most UPC and those who hold to the oneness doctrine. It will not work with me SIR!

Here is the oneness you and those like you failed to read in the full context of Scripture Jesus speaking

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is the only one to Heaven, Not your false doctrine and if you think Peter uplifted water Baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ in the context of all Scriptures you are even more unlearned than I thought.

Here is the only Oneness I need to know and it's not water baptism, it's not speaking in tongues it is Knowing Jesus and HE is knowing me, Because on that day if he says "I never knew you" there is no text that states water baptism or casting our devils or speaking in tongues saves anyone.
In fact, to you I am not even saved if I have not been water Baptized in Jesus as you think that is so essential, but you will not confirm that point because you are coward and don't want to be banned.
Yet this False Teaching is so important you don't have the courage to say what you believe that is so critical for salvation you won't admit that here in this setting.

"Much water" doesn't insist on immersion.
It would seem you have a preconceived idea that hinders a willingness to accept what is revealed in scriptures relative to the topic.

Sprinkling or pouring water on individuals does not nessitate a large body of water. And it is customary for baptizers to enter the water with those whom they baptize.

I guess by your agitated response you disagree with the point referenced in my post that we are responsible to obey more than just repentance.

Jesus and Peter are on the same page. There is no contradiction.

Jesus gave the command. (Matt. 28:19) And Peter and others obeyed Jesus' command. They baptizied everyone in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:4-41, 8:12-18, 9:17-18, 10:43-48, 19:1-7, 22:16) What other scriptures convey the reason for this?

In Jesus dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. The Godhead being the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Col. 2:9) The verses immediately following Paul's comment pertain to baptism and its effect regarding the forgiven of sins: (Col. 2:10-13)

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:"

How is the forgoing accomplished?

"Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,
having forgiven you all trespasses;"

Paul also specifically references one's burial is with Jesus and destruction of sin through baptism in Romans 6:
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?..."
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

The foregoing scriptures expressly convey the reality behind the need to be baptized in the name of Jesus for remission of sin. It was Jesus in His humanity who was crucified.
