You watched too much movies and TV dramas on middle ages. This is no longer practiced today.
In a contrary, it is Pope who kisses the foot of lay-people.

That’s an utterly ridiculous comparison.
Private prayer doesn’t need a choir. We don’t need intermediaries. Intercessors are not the same thing, and Scripture mocks those who seek the dead on behalf of the living.
