Jesus never said He was Lord of Sunday.
There is no Biblical reason the make Jesus Lord of the 1st day.

Even though He rose from the dead on Sunday, He never said it was His new Holy day.

The Lord blessed the sabbath day and Jesus said He was Lord of the Sabbath.

There is no reason why it has been changed.
Does Jesus being Lord of the Sabbath somehow prevent Him from being Lord of Sunday also? You might want to rethink that.

The change is claimed by the Roman Church and they claim no Biblical reason.

The Catholic Mirror of September 23, 1894, puts it this way: “The Catholic Church for over one thousand years before the existence of a Protestant by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday.”

from the Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine by Reverend Peter Giermann. “Question: Which is the Sabbath day? Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day. Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church in the Council of Laodicea transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”

from Reverend Steven Keenan’s Doctrinal Catechism we read this: “Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept? Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day; a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.”

There are more statements by the Catholic church but I think you get the picture. The change was made by the Catholic church not by God.

We get it from God’s word; we are to do things according to the pattern that we were given:

“Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

All 10 are

People debate about Heb 4.

Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

The sabbath rest at creation.

Heb 4:9-10
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

There remaineth a rest. = sabbath
Look up the word REST. It is the only place sabbath is used. The word rest is different in all the other verses.

A sabbath remains to the people of God.

He that entered into "His rest" = the rest found in Jesus, which is the gospel truth.
He ALSO hath ceased from his own works = sabbath rest

This must be a sabbath rest because it states "As GOD DID FROM HIS."

God did not rest in the gospel, He has not needed spiritual rest from sin, God rested on The Sabbath day at creation as a memorial for all generations

So the rest we also have is the sabbath rest.
Heb 4:9-10
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

NT command to rest on the Sabbath.

The point in Heb. 4 is that the Sabbath law was part of the OC that has been superseded by the NT Gospel,
per which working to earn salvation via observing the OT laws including the Decalogue is understood to be impossible,
so instead we should depend on being saved via faith in the atonement of the Lord JC as we do our best to cooperate
with His will, which per the NT includes continuing to observe the Decalogue except for the Sabbath law,
which He amended to mean having saving faith and doing good works every day.

Because the NT does not affirm the Sabbath Law as it did the moral commands in the Ten Commandments, one needs to discern the correct doctrine for Christians by considering the following Scriptures.

1. God rested from His work and rested on the seventh day and made it holy per Gen. 2:2-3.
2. Moses promulgated the Sabbath law as the 4th of the Ten Commandments in Exo. 20:8-11, cf. Lev. 19:3&30, Deut. 5:12-15.
3. Solomon builds a temple for burnt offerings on the Sabbath in 2Chr. 2:4.
4. Isaiah said those are blessed who keep the Sabbath in Isa. 56:2-6.
5. Jeremiah commands keeping the Sabbath holy in Jer. 17:21-27.
6. Ezekiel referred to the Sabbaths in Ezek. 20:12

7. Jesus declared he is Lord of the Sabbath and it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath in Matt. 12:1-12.
8. Jesus healed a crippled woman on the Sabbath in Luke 13:10-16.

If Jesus thought keeping the Sabbath was an important law, he would have affirmed it on these two occasions, but he did not specifically nullify it either, which jibes/harmonizes perfectly with Paul.

9. Paul taught that a person may rest on the Sabbath or not in Col. 2:16, Gal. 4:9-11 & Rom. 14:5.
10. Hebrews encourages Christians to enter God’s Sabbath rest by persevering faith in Heb. 3:7-4:11.

Jesus fulfilled/accomplished the 613 Mosaic laws (Matt. 5:17-19) and taught that righteousness must surpass/supersede that of the Pharisees (Matt. 5:20) including Paul, to whom Jesus appeared, saying “Saul, why do you persecute me?… It is hard for you to kick against the goads… I am sending you to to open sinners’ eyes…” (Acts 22:7 & 26:14&17) Paul did just that when he preached to the folks (both Jews and Gentiles per Acts 14:1-5) in Galatia (Acts 13:49, cf. 14:1-5), encouraging them to remain true to the faith (Acts 14:22), which he reiterated in his epistle to them, beginning “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel, which is really no gospel at all… Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ… But if anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Gal. 1:3-9)

This was a farewell dinner, in the evening, because Paul was leaving the next morning for a long mission trip. This was a one time meeting Saturday evening, which is the beginning of the first day. This was not a weekly meeting, this was a one time meeting and it says why because they were ready to depart the next morning. It says nothing about deleting one of the commandments of God and changing the law of God. Only God can sanctify a day or sanity us, the Creator of the disciples and of us and only did that to the Sabbath day Gen2:3 Eze20:12. The holy day of the LORD thus saith the LORD Isa 58:13 Mark2:28

So if your example is coming together once in 30+ years in lieu of a commandment of God written by God, that is your choice

We are told to make Jesus our example. 1John2:6 Jesus kept the Sabbath Luke:4:16 how we join ourselves to Him Isa56:6 that comes with His power of God’s blessings Isa 56:2 and sanctification. Eze20:12

This is what the apostles taught. They followed Jesus

.Acts 15:21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Acts 18:4 .And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

ACTS 13;44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.

If you knew the old law, you would know what the officials allowed and didn’t allow. Lol
Not good to be laughing. There is Nothing funny about someone not knowing. Apparently since the Lord Jesus says we are to be ready with answer when asked you don’t know either.

Do you know why you don’t know?

Because there is no command not to eat or heal on the Sabbath.

Where does it say a farewell dinner/supper? Not likely! Lol

Acys 20:7 Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight. There were many lamps in the upper room where they were gathered together. And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, “Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him.” 11 Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed.

They were getting together because Paul was leaving the next morning for a long mission trip. The meeting was at night why there were lamps and you don't get to midnight for by skipping the evening. Why Eutychus was sleepy because it was late a night, It was not a church service.

This was a one time meeting, nothing about it changing one of the commandments of God. There was no keeping every first day for worship in all of Scripture, this is a man-made tradition that leads many people away from keeping one of God's personally written commandments. Just as it was predicated Dan7:25. Our only defense about the other spirit who does everything to counterfeit God and deceive us is to keep our faith in God. Just read every thus saith the Lord of the Sabbath- He made Himself clear on this matter- He even personally wrote it out.

Using Scripture out of its context to support an point irrelevant to the context is using it incorrectly.

1 Peter 3: 13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened. 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

Yes, the Bible maintains a clear and vital distinction between the moral law, the ceremonial law, and civil statutes. Understanding these differences is essential for a correct grasp of God’s will and our relationship to His word.

The Moral Law: The Eternal Standard
The moral law, primarily contained in the Ten Commandments, is the foundation of God's government. It is distinct because it was spoken by God’s own voice and written with His own finger on tables of stone (Exodus 20:1-17, Exodus 24:12).

Its Nature:
It is spiritual and "exceeding broad," covering the very thoughts and intents of the heart (Psalm 119:96, Matthew 5:27-28).

Its Perpetuity:
This law is an abiding statement of the divine will. Jesus Christ Himself declared that not one jot or tittle would pass from the law till heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 5:17-18).

Its Purpose:
It provides the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20) and remains the standard for the remnant church, who are identified by their keeping of the commandments of God (Revelation 12:17, Revelation 22:14).

The Ceremonial Law: The Shadow of Christ
The ceremonial law consisted of "carnal ordinances" and "divers washings" that were temporary and local in their application.

Its Nature:
These were transient ordinances that pointed forward to the ministry of Christ. They included the system of burnt offerings and sacrifices that were performed at the altar (Exodus 20:24-26, 1Chronicles 16:40).

Its End:
Because these were shadows of things to come, they were fulfilled and "abolished" at the cross when the true Lamb of God was sacrificed. To go back to this system for justification is to fall from grace, as the blood of bulls and goats could never actually take away sin (Acts 15:10-11).

The Civil Law: Statutes for a Nation
In the ancient theocracy of Israel, God provided civil laws to govern their social relations and judicial processes.

Restitution vs. Morality:
There is a clear difference between a moral law (like "Thou shalt not steal") and a civil penalty for its breach. For example, the requirement to restore four-fold for a stolen sheep is a civil obligation arising from the transgression of the moral commandment (Exodus 22:1).

Application:
While the moral principles underlying justice are eternal, the specific civil penalties of the deceased theocratic state of Israel were local and national. However, the Bible teaches that even in civil matters, we are to render to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's, acknowledging that God puts no difference between people of different nations (Acts 15:8-9, Matthew 23:8).

Summary of the Distinction
The Lord Himself drew the line of distinction when He spoke the "Ten Words" out of the fire and "added no more," placing them on stone to show their permanence (Deuteronomy 5:22). In contrast, the other statutes were delivered through Moses to meet the specific needs of the people's journey and worship (Exodus 24:12).

This verse refers to more then 1 law.
Notice Gods law that He gave and the laws given by the hand of moses.

13 You came down also on mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: 14 And made known to them your holy sabbath, AND commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses your servant: Nehemiah 9:13-14.
Here, the "true laws" and "holy sabbath" are linked to God speaking from heaven (the Moral Law), while the other "precepts" were given "by the hand of Moses" (the Ceremonial Law).

Notice Paul uses similar words
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Psa 111:7-8
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all HIS commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

ALL HIS commandments are sure and stand fast forever and ever.

God's commandments are not nailed to the cross and abolished or made void.

The Shadow laws were only until Christ..
Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

A clear distinction which i hope your eyes are able to see..
Sorcery, kidnapping, afflicting orphans, civil disobedience that results in death, all manner of sexual
deviation. Gambling, extortion, drugs, alcohol, violence, judging others, legalism. Are all immoral
behaviors that your flesh excels at committing. I don't think we can make the list long enough.

If you are deluded into thinking that a holy life involves a sabbath observance once a week.
Then you are missing the bigger picture entirely.

Jesus did not give His life as a perfect sacrifice in the hope that you would start to obey a handful
of laws. Or should I say any attempt to obey a law that we never could obey. Our flesh
never permits any level of continuous obedience.

The depth of your sin and rebellion against God are far beyond your understanding.

We never think for one moment that anything we think or do matters. To a perfect God that
is eternally holy, holy, holy. God's grace is immeasurable in it's magnitude for us. God is
showing a tolerance towards us that is beyond comprehension.

Never, ever, set a standard that Christians must achieve as the law does.

The outcome will be 100% failure and any denial is simply self deception.

The law only grants the knowledge of your moral insanity.

Only one way to gain salvation and that is by calling on the name of the Lord.

That was the only way that any of us will ever be saved and that is a free gift.

It was never about what you can do!

If you are deluded into thinking that a holy life involves a sabbath observance once a week.
Then you are missing the bigger picture entirely.
Inquisitor !
I KNOW that the Creator God, Jehovah commanded obedience, to His 4th Commandment, for us to keep holy HIS 7th Day Sabbath.
It looks like you are STILL promoting "disobedience" .. as the Catholic Church (Anti-Christ) (you and I have been around this block before)
Matthew 15:3
And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

Colossians 3:6
For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience,

Ephesians 5:6
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Titus 3:3
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

1 Peter 3:20
who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.

Speaking of the Days of Noah ! Matthew 24:37 states: "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

I've come to reason out that modern "Christianity" is very much simpler than most folks are understanding it to be.

There are just TWO religious systems in the world TODAY, and all the way back to Eden. One the Spirit of Able, the other the spirit of Cain. The Spirit of Truth ( Holy Spirit ) and the spirit of lies and deception. One of obedience, the other of disobedience, to God

Satan has been very proficient at deceiving most folks all through history, believing his Doctrines of Disobedience. TODAY, most all men prefer believing Satan's 1st lie from Eden, rather than Jesus, The Way The Truth, to Life, ... through Righteousness, by Faith. Galatians 2:20

As in the days of Noah. Matthew 24:37-39 , Luke 17:26-27 ... Most men TODAY believe Satan, to continue in their lusts "For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life." 1 John 2:16 ... rather than believing (Noah) Jesus, the Word.
