I can assure you that eating meat has had no deleterious effect on my health. Adventist declarations to the contrary are false.

We are not yet in the millennial kingdom where animals and people will no longer be carnivorous. Until then, God's word in the New Testament approves of eating meat.

Why should every animal death be a reminder of sin? You are not going to stop animals killing each other. For now, death is both the human and and animal realm condition. I know this much. If you offered an animal a choice between humane slaughter and being savaged by a pack of hyenas, the animal would choose a quick and painless end.

If you want to be vegetarian, fine. Look at it this way: I'm eating animals that eat your food. I'm doing you a favour.
Exactly.
God killed animals and commanded his own covenant family to eat animals.
A cow and a chicken were invented to be eaten.

You can say what you want about the health message of the Adventist church,

There is no a conclusion that you speak of around Adventists, its part of our 28 beliefs https://adventist.org/beliefs#belief-18. This is non-Adventists or people who never really were Adventists. Most people try to paint her as a false prophet so they don't have to keep God's Sabbath and you and I both know God's Sabbath came from God, no One else.

This charge against EGW about plagiarism was settled a long time ago, by a third part attorney.

https://whiteestate.org/about/issues1/about-egw/writings/ref-lib/ramik-report/

I think you are reading what is on the internet instead of making your opinion about what she actually said. This is a common trap and people did this type of thing about Jesus and the apostles what was "word of mouth" instead of actually hearing what they were saying,

It doesn't matter to me if you believe EGW or not, all of my teachings come from Scripture, they can be support by Scripture, but so can her writings, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have her own opinions about things. I have not found one case where an accusation made against her was not either false or out of context. She is trying to get people back to the word of God and God's Sabbath and there is a spiritual war where people do not want us to join ourselves to the LORD Isa56:6 but the beast system who changed God's times and laws Dan7:25 that power can lie and make things up on the internet. God will sort it all out soon enough.
what about all her failed prophecies?

Did she say Passover? She is speaking about animal cruelty, sorry if you think God does not care about His creation, its not true, every death of an animal is a reminder of sin because before sin animals were never eaten. God's perfect plan was in Eden before sin and the fallen nature of man. He is going back to that where there will be no more death and animals are still part of heaven, but not for food.

I would show you but what's the point? You have made up your mind and don't care if things are out of context or not or harmonized with the rest of ones writings. Its best I dust my feet, God will sort it all out in His time.
So when she claimed a diet that consists of meat was morally evil, she really meant that it wasn’t morally evil if it was Passover, you happened to be sitting on the beach with your students after being buried for 3 days, or if you had to feed thousands of people at once. Got it.

Don’t dust off your feet yet. We’ll get off the diet subject and move back to the sabbath. Where does she get this from scripture:

“The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. While the observance of the false sabbath in compliance with the law of the state, contrary to the fourth commandment, will be an avowal of allegiance to a power that is in opposition to God, the keeping of the true Sabbath, in obedience to God’s law, is an evidence of loyalty to the Creator. While one class, by accepting the sign of submission to earthly powers, receive the mark of the beast, the other, choosing the token of allegiance to divine authority, receive the seal of God.“

She basically said that those who don’t honor don’t keep the sabbath on saturdays receive the mark of the beast. Ouch

Satan has it easy , since you are taking over accusing the body of Christ.

Try and pick something I actually do, instead of being a liar and accuser.
Not me. That was our boy @Rob7. Just wanted to let you know you were being accused. He seems to like to condemn others. Bottom of post 5255

Sure, as I said to a vegetarian co-worker, if God had not meant us to eat animals, He would not have made them out of meat. Not original. I know.

It's in the word itself. M.eat! That bit I just made up.

So when she claimed a diet that consists of meat was morally evil,
Quote where she says this, another verse out of context. I have been down this road before on this exact accusation, Its almost like you are reading a play book instead of doing your own research.

Did she say Passover- why do you keep quoting her out of context, this makes one a false witness and its something our LORD does not take lightly.

Sure this is easy.

What was the test for the Israelites to pass through to their promised rest.

This was the condition of the Israelites receiving their promised rest (land of Canaan)

Deut 6:1 “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’
4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

So this was the condition of them receiving their land full of milk and honey - they had to love God and keep His commandments.

Did they do that? What did God personally single out that they did not observe which kept them out of the land they were promised

Eze 20:13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

Eze 20:16 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols

God Himself said they never made it into their promised rest because they profaned His Sabbath and He related that to idol worship. This is God saying this not EGW.

We are plainly told not to follow in the same example of disobedient to enter into our rest

Heb4:6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience

Heb 4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

The mark of the best is over worship. You can see this plainly in Rev 13 and Rev 14. Do we worship the beast (government system) who changed God's times and laws- the Sabbath Dan7:25 or do we worship the Creator who made Rev14:7 which brings us back to the Sabbath Exo20:11

only the beast system can tell us their mark of authority and they already did which is related to what they changed on their own authority over God's
It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.
—Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.
Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act. And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.
—C. F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons, in answer to a letter regarding the change of the Sabbath, November 11, 1895.

Scripture tells us whoever we obey is who we serve Rom6:16KJV Jesus in His own words said when we lay aside the commandment of God quoting from the Ten Commandments, we make the word of God of no effect, our heart from Him is far and our worship to Him is in vain. Mat15:3-14 Mark 7:7-13 There is no commandment for Sunday-keeping this is a man-made tradition, but there is for keeping the seventh day Sabbath holy, this is a commandment of God, written by God spoken by God. Exo31L18 Deut4:13 They are trying to make man-made laws around Sunday just like the Pharisees did on their sabbath so they can persecute God's people. Its history repeating itself all over again.

The only solution to this:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Is found in the next verse- this of course is God's version of His commandments.

12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus

its not the place to do this, many Adventist if not all I have known follow the bible perfectly, SB is one of them and its easy to prove. lets concentrate on this and remember it instead.

657. The moral evils of a flesh diet are not less marked than are the physical ills. Flesh food is injurious to health, and whatever affects the body has a corresponding effect on the mind and the soul. Think of the cruelty to animals that meat eating involves, and its effect on those who inflict and those who behold it. How it destroys the tenderness with which we should regard these creatures of God!—The Ministry of Healing, 315, 1905

Now it seems that she is saying a diet consisting of meat is morally evil. My question is since Jesus ate lamb at Passover and fish, was His diet morally evil?

The Pharisees kept the Sabbath perfectly and even accused Jesus of breaking it. Since they kept the right day, why did Jesus say their worship was vain?

If Colossians 2:16-17 says that the sabbath is a shadow of things to come but Jesus is the substance, why are we to focus on the shadow?

Where does Jesus (not a prophet or a history book) say that the final test for humanity will be a calendar day instead of faith in Him?

If the Sabbath was the sign of the Old Covenant with Israel, what is the sign of the New Covenant for us today?

Already addressed -the focus was on animal cruelty. God cares about His creation even if man doesn't. She wasn't speaking about Passover, you keep trying to add your words to hers, this is a pattern and its really hard to reason with someone who does this. Its saying you don't care what really they are saying you are going to bulldoze over them no matter what.

Was it just a tree in the garden or was it a test of loyalty, You say its just a day, God said it is the holy day of the LORD Isa58:13- does what God say not matter? God never plucked out the 4th commandment the way man did. God said Remember- man reaches the opposite to forget what God says. There is no Scripture that says if we know God's will and choose not to do it that we can be saved.

Sadly out of context. Paul said everything has to be according to Christ. Col2:8 Jesus is the LORD of the Sabbath, tearing down what Jesus us LORD of doesn't make it go away, it just makes someone else our lord. I can show you the context of this passage but it doesn't sound like you are that interested, just a narrative that sadly will only deceive oneself.

If I put all my trust in Jesus but happen to worship on the wrong day, am I still lost? Is the day more powerful than the Savior?
How did this reasoning work out for a whole generation in the wilderness? God is not a respecter of persons. Rom2:11

You don't think this pained God to not give His people the promise land because of their disobedience to Him? God doesn't lower His standards to us, He lifts ours to His- sadly many just do not want to. John3:19-21

We all have decisions to make whose voice are we going to obey just like those in the wilderness Heb3:7-19 Heb4:11

We still have to enter our rest

Rev 22:Blessed are those who do His commandments, (not mans traditions) that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Sadly just like the ones before us not everyone who says LORD LORD will make it.

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Our only safeguard, trusting God, not man.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Regarding Passover, this was a direct result of sin. This was never God's intended plan for His animals. God said its better to obey than to sacrifice. 1 Sam15:22 The sacrificial system involved killing animals, yet God repeatedly reminded Israel that what He truly wanted was a merciful and obedient heart. In the same way, while Scripture permits eating animals in a fallen world Gen. 9:3, God’s original creation ideal in Eden involved no animal death Gen. 1:29. So the biblical principle emphasizes obedience to God and His mercy above practices involving the taking of animal life.

Mat19:8 Moses allowed you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But from the beginning it was not so.

Shouldn't we strive to do God's original will for mankind before sin since we see how destructive it is? Why not prepare for heaven now.

I didn’t add words to hers. And you deflecting is becoming a pattern. MY WORDS- she claims that a diet consisting of meat is morally evil. Whether He ate lamb at Passover or on a random Tuesday doesn’t matter and I never said she said Passover. Maybe try to just answer the question.

Since Jesus’ diet consisted of lamb and fish, is His diet morally evil?

Was it just a tree in the garden or was it a test of loyalty, You say its just a day, God said it is the holy day of the LORD Isa58:13- does what God say not matter? It was a tree not a test. The test was obeying God’s voice. Just as today a recurring calendar date is not a test or Jesus would’ve said it was. Jesus said that we would be known by our love not our Saturday attendance.
The Pharisees did not keep God's Sabbath, they kept their man-made sabbath much like Sunday is today. Why Jesus was constantly correcting them
Yea I’m not arguing for Sunday. I’m arguing for Jesus. Worship is to be 7 days a week in everything you do, not once a week.
Sadly out of context. Paul said everything has to be according to Christ. I can show you the context of this passage but it doesn't sound like you are that interested, just a narrative that sadly will only deceive oneself.
If Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath, doesn't He have the authority to fulfill it and bring us into a greater rest? Why do you treat Him like a sabbath keeper rather than the one who is our Rest?
The final test if over worship. Worship is who we serve. According to JESUS not anyone else Jesus said our worship to Him is in vain, when we lay aside the commandment of God quoting from the Ten Commandments in lieu of man-made traditions. Where does the Bible(not a commentary or a prophet) explicitly say that the 'Mark of the Beast' is sunday worship? If it’s the most important warning in Revelation, why is the word sabbath never mentioned once in the entire book of Revelation?
These are your words not God's. I go by God's word- God made the Sabbath a sign from Creation Exo31:17, that was His perfect plan before sin and the fall- it points to God our Creator Exo20:11 the only God we are called to worship Rev14:7
Again you didn’t answer the question. What is the sign of the new covenant?

Of course they’re my words. It was my question. God made the sabbath a sign with Israel, not creation. Exo 31:13 says for their generations. Does that mean as a gentile believer, you’re a member of their physical lineage?

Also the word forever(olam) in that verse is also used in Gen 17:13 and Exo 12:14. So do you also advocate for circumcision and slaughter a lamb every Passover?

Or how bout the penalties for working on the sabbath? Exo 31:14-15. Do you advocate for the death of those that work on saturdays?

Is Jesus enough to save me if I never keep Saturday?

How did this reasoning work out for a whole generation in the wilderness? God is not a respecter of persons. Rom2:11

“So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.”

Nice verse but the earliest Greek doesn’t support that translation.
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Sadly just like the ones before us not everyone who says LORD LORD will make it.

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
They pointed to their own works. Will you point to your Saturday keeping when it comes time?
Our only safeguard, trusting God, not man.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
And the same man that wrote that wrote this:
“And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I didn’t add words to hers. And you deflecting is becoming a pattern. MY WORDS- she claims that a diet consisting of meat is morally evil. Whether He ate lamb at Passover or on a random Tuesday doesn’t matter and I never said she said Passover. Maybe try to just answer the question.
Jesus while here on earth lived in a fallen world- eating animals was never part of His perfect plan otherwise they would have started at Creation and continued in the New Heaven and New Earth but they don't.
Since Jesus’ diet consisted of lamb and fish, is His diet morally evil?
You are twisting what she said. as shown more than once.
It was a tree not a test. The test was obeying God’s voice. Just as today a recurring calendar date is not a test or Jesus would’ve said it was. Jesus said that we would be known by our love not our Saturday attendance.
It was over a tree, not to eat from one tree. The real test was obeying God's voice or not. They failed. Just like you say its just a day, but to God it is obeying His voice Exo20:6 Luke6:46-49 - He commanded to keep the Sabbath day holy, doing what we want instead is not obeying His voice. Its the same thing as eating from the tree He said not to.
Yea I’m not arguing for Sunday. I’m arguing for Jesus. Worship is to be 7 days a week in everything you do, not once a week.
You are confusing devotion to worship. Jesus related worship to obedience to the commandments of God quoting from the Ten Commandments. Mat 15:3-14 Mark7:7-13 We should be devoted to God 24/7/365 but in truly doing that one would not be rebelling against one of God's commandments. They would serve and join themselves to the LORD Isa56:6
If Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath, doesn't He have the authority to fulfill it and bring us into a greater rest? Why do you treat Him like a sabbath keeper rather than the one who is our Rest?
You keep using your own words and logic as if that's God's. God never gave Himself a commandment, the Sabbath is something man does according to God Isa56:1-2 Exo20:8-11 where did Jesus change this in one place? You keeping inserting your will and pretending its Gods, we are very plainly told not to add to God's word.

Jesus gives rest, which is from our sin and toils of the world, not permission to sin and break one of His commandments. You will not find this in God's holy word.
Where does the Bible(not a commentary or a prophet) explicitly say that the 'Mark of the Beast' is sunday worship? If it’s the most important warning in Revelation, why is the word sabbath never mentioned once in the entire book of Revelation?
Its over worship. Read Rev 13 and Rev 14. The beast/government that implements their mark changed God's times and laws- which we are told plainly in Scripture Dan7:25 and we see a clear history of this and they said the change from Sabbath to Sunday is a mark of their authority over Gods. Its not God's mark so only the beast system can tell us what their mark is and they did, changing corporate worship from Sunday to the Sabbath. Against the authority of God Lev23:3 Exo20:8-11 Isa66:23

Again you didn’t answer the question. What is the sign of the new covenant?
Because its not in Scripture, there is no Scripture that says "this is the sign of the new covenant" do that with out having to edit and paste Scripture together.
Of course they’re my words. It was my question. God made the sabbath a sign with Israel, not creation. Exo 31:13
And God pointed it right back to Creation - you keep deleting this point for some reason. Creation was before Jew, before Israel, before Moses- when God made man Gen1:26 that He made for the Sabbath Exo20:11

Exo 31:17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”

Exo20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

says for their generations. Does that mean as a gentile believer, you’re a member of their physical lineage?
We are all part of the promises through faith.... Gal3:26-29 when God blesses something its forever, you are underestimating God and His power. Man cannot take away what God blesses Exo20:11 Isa56:2 they can only forfeit their own blessing.
Also the word forever(olam) in that verse is also used in Gen 17:13 and Exo 12:14. So do you also advocate for circumcision and slaughter a lamb every Passover?
No, because it always pointed to what Jesus said He would end at the Cross Dan9:27 Heb10:1-10 Eph 2:11-15.
Or how bout the penalties for working on the sabbath? Exo 31:14-15. Do you advocate for the death of those that work on saturdays?

Is Jesus enough to save me if I never keep Saturday?
Its the same death penalty for murder, for adultery, for not honoring your mother and father. The wages of sin is death, Rom6:23 Sin is breaking the law of God 1John3:4 His version, not mans James2:11 if we continue in that path without repenting- changing our minds He said there remains not more sacrifice Heb10:26-30

If gives us everything and asks for so little, our time being one of them, but sadly people want to spend time with God on the day they want that never came with His power of Blessings and Sanctification, they think they can do that apart from God, when God said we can't Isa66:17
