Well when you start to actually pay attention to what I say then I won't have a reason to be sarcastic. There isn't any reason to take you seriously if you can't even comprehend what I'm saying. And you're arrogance is insightly so monumental but most of you think the same way.

I agree when you're not reasonable you won't be reasonable with me. It is PERFECTLY reasonable to ask you to show that your understanding of Scripture is authoritative. I gave you my understanding but you can't show that your understanding is superior other than to tell me the Holy Spirit told you.
And I think it's also PERFECTLY reasonable to heed what disciples of the apostles have to say about Scripture over a random person on the Internet. If you believe either of those things makes reasoning with IMPOSSIBLE then you're absolutely right.
Until you can give me a reason to think your understanding of Scripture is superior, other than because you say so, you should move on. This schtick of yours might work with your little friends or people who have zero biblical knowledge but here, with me, you'll need a lot more than your word since my immortal soul hangs in the balance.
Just a friendly observation.... you are really being a tool in these discussions... I don't know if that's the way you always interact with folks, but it's wearing pretty thin here.... you should back up and re-group...
What do you think would happen as a result of me backing up and regrouping? I asked someone to provide evidence that their understanding of Scripture is authoritative. Can you explain how thats unreasonable or is this more about me than about Scripture or salvation? By the way if my interaction with others is wearing pretty thin here, you aren't required to read my posts or reply to them, right? I'd be deeply opposed to anyone forcing you to read them or reply to them. I'm not a dog and I don't roll over. Ive also never called anyone here a tool.
Nobody has claimed (that I've noticed) that their understanding is "authoritative", except you. You seem to believe that YOUR understanding is absolutely correct, and anyone that understands differently is wrong.... that's pretty authoritative, by definition.
And, yes, this IS about you, and your abrasive approach to Biblical discussion....

I agree that what Jesus teaches in the Gospels and via Paul's epistles is sufficiently clear for those who are willing to learn.
Thats incorrect and you aren't paying attention. I read Scripture and in understand what the words mean but I have people telling me all the time that the words don't mean what I they mean and they proceed to tell me what the words "supposedly" mean. If someone wants to tell me the words don't mean what the words mean that's fine but if I'm actually going to listen to them they need to show evidence that their underground is authoritative. Only by doing so can they legitimately tell me my understanding is wrong. If Einstein told me my understanding of a physics concept was wrong I should listen. If you tell me you need to show that you have the credentials to do so. Do you blindly listen to whatever people tell you?
There is one thing you can always count on friend, I will always be myself. If I am bellicose it's because I get tired of being told I'm wrong from people who can't show their credentials for legitimately assessing my understanding. I've done this for decades with supposed "Bible believing" Christians and to a person they all believe their understanding is unquestionable.
Jesus says three times eat my flesh drink my blood. He doesn't say have faith in me, he doesn't say believe in me, he says at my flesh and drink my blood. Then Paul comes along and in a conversation with the Corinthians about eating and drinking the cup of the Lord says, "For a person who eats and drinks without discerning the body of the Lord is eating and drinking judgment on himself". You arent arguing with me friend but continue on in your "wisdom". I'll listen to Jesus and Paul in my stupidity.
Every time Jesus says to eat flesh and blood is meant metaphorically!
Since you claim to do so literally/physically--what does it taste like?
Let's ignore Paul right now. No some of the time he was speaking metaphorically but he changes that in verse 51. In verse 52 the people like you say, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Jesus answers directly, "Amen amen I say to you (whenever Jesus says Amen Amen I say to you... what does that mean?) unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you do not have life within you". Now those of us who don't have reading comprehension problems know exactly what Jesus is saying.

Everything i suggest to you I've not only applied to myself, it's part of my bonemarrow. I would never give advice on the anointed Messiah unless I was sure it was true and has been tested with my own life.
Could we at least meet at a place where you can stop calling the members here "you people". That place is when the Father calls us out. I understand everyone in here has been called out by the Father. Can you see others as kinsmen from that perspective, even if you don't agree with their understandings?
I hold no animosity against anyone. In my life I am friends with many people with whom I disagree. On this matter I don't see where I'm misreading what Jesus is saying. People literally say how can this man give us his flesh to eat. Jesus then directly replies, Amen Amen I say to you UNLESS you eat the flesh of man and drink his blood you have no life in you. Then after repeating that two more times Jesus asks, Does this shock you? Why would people be shocked if he was speaking metaphorically?
The astute among us note that you did not say what the flesh and blood of Jesus tastes like,
which is because you have not actually tasted it.
I suspect you kick against the goad of comprehending Jesus metaphorically in John 6:51-58
because of being brain-washed by a RC upbringing.
OK, let's look at this logically.
First, I would say if thats what your heart is telling you to do, then do it. Nobody's got everything right.
But here's the problem, how are you going to find His flesh and blood to fulfill what your heart is telling you to do?
