I am not responding to nonsense outside of the op so as a curtesy, I am letting you know that so that you will not expect any response from me other than this one and the post above

Read the op. This thread is about the heresies of Ellen White. It is not about your exegesis of scripture which I won't agree with anyway and I highly advise others here to just ignore your efforts to derail the thread.

One other thing: that was a post concerning something White said/was teaching, not me. So, try to read with better comprehension
You are rather combative. Why?
If you disagree with her or I on a given stance you should be able to explain why. If you can’t then what is your basis for said disagreement? Besides, What if I am mistaken or her and the seed that you hold onto is meant for me and by proxy the Church?

Not sure what you by that. Explain please

There is no issue in understanding it. Understanding on a given text is not governed by people agreeing on it. Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. And this is not of ourselves t is of God.

Thanks for respecting the op. Not surprised you just have to try and continue with your 'opinions.' Spiritual things are indeed spiritually discerned, but when such disregard for truth as exemplified by SDA doctrine shows up, it's no mystery that involves 3 days of fasting and prayer.

However, for the record, I will state that the spiritually discerning among us, recognize the demonic spirit behind SDA since this doctrine attempts to destroy the gospel of Jesus and replace it with works and attacks on actual Bible believing Christians who love Christ and follow Him.

I have actually been told in another thread, that if I go to church on Sunday, I am bound for hell.
Pinebeach, can you link me to that quote? I know the mods are interested when people use such language on this forum.

The record of false 'prophecies' from EG White is both extensive and alarming, considering the adherents who still follow her, while ignoring the record of error and insisting that she was both accurate and a true 'prophet'.

Adventists, having experienced the false prophecy of William Miller who stated Jesus would return Oct. 22, 1844, (aka The Great Disappointment) retroactively corrected the error of Miller by stating that Miller was over eager in his words and what actually took
place 10/22/1844, was the 'start' of Jesus final 'work', meaning the cleansing in the heavenly sanctuary which would actually lead up to
the 2nd coming.

The backlash after the failed expectations of so many, resulted in angry critcism and even, in some cases, violence from the public. It seems
that many followers had given up their possessions in consideration of the prophecied date of Jesus return and now they were left empty handed both spiritually and physically.

The Millerites had to deal with their own shattered expectations, as well as considerable criticism and even violence from the public. Many followers had given up their possessions in expectation of Christ's return. A Millerite church was burned in NY and 2 others were vandalized
while a mob in Illinois attacked the Millerite congregation with clubs and knive while yet another group, in Toronto, Canada, was tarred and feathered. In some other cases in Canada, Millerites were shot at.

Many Milleries gave up their beliefs but, during this time, as stated above, excues were made, corrections given and several new sects sprang up, apparently unwilling to admit error or the possibility they had been falling both a false teacher and a false prophet in the person of William Miller.

Due to the active and insistent amount of posts made in another thread here regarding the ongoing claims of White's adherents or SDA participants, along with the denials of scripture that indicate error or the skipping over of questions and so on by the same adherents, it seems it would be more helpful to discuss the problems of White's teachings in a different atmosphere where proof of the false prophecies and what scripture actually states, could be discussed. No prejudice intended, but open discussion is needed which cannot be had if certain people take scripture out of context to change the meaning or, just ignore scripture altogether.

Here is one false prophecy of White:

White contends the Sabbath is still in effect and Sunday is not honored by God as day to honor Him

What scripture actually says:

The New Testament clearly shows Christians worshiping together on Sunday, not Saturday and Romans 14 teaches that the individual must be convinced in their own mind of the day they choose to observe.

Thank you. Listen to where Jesus went! To Heaven his kingdom is not of this earth. Father is Spirit and truth here as our comforter. To guide and lead the willing ones, who learn to listen, after errors made first.
religion in itself means. What are people doing to get a deity to respond to them. Do you see, you are trying to get accepted by others in your place of worship. People are still being berated, not good enough as others are good enough, seeing they give more money than you.
People are observing people and following people, what?????????????????????????????????
Yes that one over there is better than others, really? Luke 18:9-14 does not claim this does it.
Nor does Matthew 18:24-35 either

Now, since Jesus went to that cross willingly once for everyone, what did that do? Did it level the playing field, Did Son die once for us all or not Hebrews 10:10? Are we all reconciled by God or not? 2 Cor 5:17-21 claims we are. Read the entire chapters please? Are all right there reconciled forgiven through Son's done work or not at the crosses it finished or not John 19:30? For new life to be installed in you by Father! Are you listening as you know in your own heart?

If it is done, then this will set you free Col 2. If anyone does not see it yet, you will, provided you are sincere in your belief to God. Therefore, just do not quit Col 1:23, see verses 21-22 see new in thankfulness from Father in Father's Spirit and truth given you by Father and Son as One (Won) for you too. see 1 John 2:27 and ask do you need others to lead or actually see this love and mercy between one another given you too? by Father of Son for you, whom Jesus explicitly followed.
To just love in the same mercy and truth of Son for you on that cross to you. John 13:34

I think it is very simple, until thought(s) enter that bring in doubts. Having doubt brings out it is harder to be established in truth Isaiah 7:9, read it from verse 1 and see what God tells us each, If we do not beleive God, how can God establish you too?

Thank you for the post pinebeach ! Might be time to listen to the King in Spirit and Truth of God Father for us all.

Trust me, I’m not tallying votes. Lol

Subheadings? Post them please. Incidentally subheadings are not inspired
Do you not read what I have said? I already stated that they’re word for word as subheadings.
End of discussion!

No they’re not inspired, but they give a brief sum to what those group of verses mean under the subheadings. Most, if not all, are correct; and in this particular chapter, they’re dead on.

I would have to look it up, but I can tell you that it was sabbath in the commandment thread. I will see when I have time.

I am still looking, but I found this gem wherein sabbath is saying that the mark of the beast is to worship on Sunday ...the entire post is remarkeable in how scripture is misapplied and twisted.

I actually saw a video a few nights ago while surfing youtube, that said the mark of the beast is Sunday worship.

Post 5409 in the 10 commandment thread. It's pretty clear even from this post, that these Sabbath keepers believe that unless you are another Sabbath keeper, hell is your destination.

I agree about the E white . She is a good example of not obeying the scriptures 1 Corinthians 14 v33- 40 . Verse 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the Commandments of the Lord . This is rarely obeyed today . Verse 6 of Romans one regards the day unto the Lord and was does not . ( the Lord will judge ) seems to me regarding the day unto the Lord is correct . The other is in ignorance that does not regard the day unto the Lord . Sunday is never called the Lords day in the scriptures. But the Sabbath is . It is said that the believers broke bread daily , so breaking bread on Sunday does not make it the Lords day either. I believe believers proper place is in the temple , that also met on the Sabbath the Lords day Acts 2 v 46 And they , continuing daily with one accord in the Temple , and breaking bread from house to house , did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart . Verse 47 And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved . ( I find it interesting the church was meeting in the temple that for sure is on the Sabbath. ) a few thoughts. Ps I don’t think worshipping on Sunday is anything to do with the beast . But Sabbath keeping is Correct .

I follow this advice from scripture:

6Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, 7rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

8See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. 10And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

11In Him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of your sinful nature, with the circumcision performed by Christb and not by human hands. 12And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.

13When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, 14having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross! 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

16Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.c 18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you with speculation about what he has seen. Such a person is puffed up without basis by his unspiritual mind. 19He has lost connection to the head, from whom the whole body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, grows as God causes it to grow.

20If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations: 21“Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!”? 22These will all perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such restrictions indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-prescribed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body; but they are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh. Colossians 2

Thanks :)

“But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.”

What are you saying here in reply to Berean? I do not understand what you mean by posting that scripture.

Isn’t this just another cult? There were no true prophets after John the Baptist.

Kinda ironic that out of the thousands of false prophets since Jesus, you believe Ellen is the only one who got it right. Even though her visions and contradictions dont align with the simple words of the King, you still claim she is a true prophet. For years she taught the Shut Door doctrine, claiming in a vision that the door of mercy was closed to the world after 1844, only to have to un-prophesy it later when it didn't happen. Would that not make her an unprophet? As much as you defend her, it sounds like you are following her over Jesus.

The "shut door" was seen as applying to the closing of the first phase and the opening of the second and final phase of Christ's intercession in heaven.

Following the 1844 "Great Disappointment," Ellen White, along with many Millerites, initially believed the "shut door" meant probation had closed for the world. She soon understood this as a spiritual door, not a cessation of mercy, confirming her first vision meant Christ moved into the Heavenly Sanctuary.

Key Aspects of the "Shut Door" Belief:
  • Initial View: After Oct. 22, 1844, believers felt their work in warning sinners was done.
  • Definition Change: Early on, she believed it meant the "door of mercy was closed to the world," a view she held before her first vision.
  • The Vision's Meaning: She later clarified in Selected Messages (1883) that light corrected their error, clarifying that the door was to the Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary, not a end to salvation.
  • Final Understanding: By 1854, most Adventists accepted that the "shut door" referred to the closure of the 2300-day prophecy rather than the end of all hope for sinners, and they continued to find that new converts could be made.
    Ellen G. White® Estate +4
Although Ellen White was associated with the "Shut Door" Adventist group immediately after 1844, she maintained that she was never shown in vision that no more sinners could be converted, but that her visions corrected the early, wrong interpretation of that time. (Google)

No one can deny that Paul is referring to the return of Jesus.

We all will see Jesus face to face.

Then we will know fully.
