No, I don't think so, not by our faith at least. I believe that salvation
is given as a completely a free gift to us (to those whom He chose) from an exceedingly gracious and merciful God through Jesus Christ the Savior, with no requirements nor stipulations associated to the receiving of it. And that, I believe, is what makes salvation by grace.
So, fatalistic determination and no free will? Sounds more like luck of the draw than grace.

You pulled the last statement out of context! Jesus was referring to the 11 that God the Father gave to Him. Many times, context is everything!
OSAS is 100% a false doctrine!! There are too many verses that say the opposite, of which you dismissed. You people just pick and choose whatever fits into your doctrine, and ignore the rest.
Some here keep misunderstanding how the term "works"was being used when the Bible was written.
Works was a system of things to do, devised by men, that if followed was to guarantee acceptance by God.
A single work in itself is not necessarily a part of what was termed works.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us that God has planned for us to do good works after we are saved.
Therefore, doing a "work" is not intrinsically bad.
Some today have gotten to think that any work is a dirty thing...
Not works (system of man made things to do)...
But, one work! Is what God seeks for us to be saved.
The disciples were still thinking in terms of the man made rules (works) that they had been conditioned to think with having been promoted by the Pharisees. The Pharisees had propagandized the Jews into thinking works was to be a norm in guaranteeing salvation. The RCC has used the Pharisees system as their role model.
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
One work. Not "works!"

Believing in Jesus Christ is the one work God accepts!
But don't forget that it must be as a result of the new heart given by God, and that from salvation

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
More akin to Hebrews 12:2...Jesus being the AUTHOR and finisher of our faith.

Easy, walking away from Christ; one loses faith, you turn your back to God and return back to the world. They no longer believe in Him!!

In John 6:29, Jesus said - "This is the work (singular) of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent," when He answered the Jews (who were taking a legalistic approach) when they asked, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works (plural) of God?" Certain folks mistakingly believe that believing is just "another" work in a series of works in a quest to receive salvation by works.

Yes, as long as you believe and hold onto the faith! Absolutely!!
If somebody no longer believes in Him, they throw away their beliefs; they’re no longer saved! Why is this so hard to understand?
I know of people who were once saints in Christ, but are no longer in Him. For whatever reason, they’ve turned their backs to God and threw away their faith in Jesus. In other words, they became atheists. They no longer believe in our heavenly Creator, and His Son.
That doesn't change anything judicially. We have been placed into Christ. How does someone remove themselves from being in Christ?
No individual ever placed themselves into Christ. How can an individual take themselves out of Christ?
No, read it again. It says, "kept by the power of God through faith". IOW, that by Himself and alone, He will keep those of His inheritance
through faith unto salvation. Nothing can change that, not even the actions of those of His inheritance. Once the testator died the beneficiaries of the will were established forever and cannot be added to nor removed from it - it became forever settled.
