Sounds like a horrible experience. Years ago, when I was single and frequented the AOL chat rooms, I allowed myself to get scammed out a $1000. I'm older and wiser now. Sorry to hear your discouraging experiences.

I wasn't so much scammed as he was a thief. He took my bag, got my card, and sneakily viewed my PIN as I was making a purchase over my shoulder. He pretended and said he would hold my bag for me, as if I couldn't hold it myself.
I got the bank to check the ATM for when he withdraw the money, but they couldn't ID him because he hid behind an umbrella. But I knew it was him.
Later he revealed that he had a drug problem (marijuana) and was also seeing this other girl and sleeping with her. I know cos she told me. So I don't really trust anyone esp anyone who's from Christchurch and wants to get with an Auckland girl.
He also had a restraining order.
I had no idea, because he didn't tell me these things of course. And I didn't know any of his friends or family that could vouch for him.
Anyway, that's over now and why I don't do the online meet-a-random person dating thing anymore.
The last I heard of him he was in rehab and joined the Salvation Army.

I attribute it to an act of God. Much prayer was said beforehand. God said that it was not good to be alone. Apparently, I took that to heart. God causing my path to cross with JesusLives was the best thing that ever happen to me.
Why did Greta Garbo famously say 'I vant to be alone'? It's not good for a man to be alone true. But a woman needs to be left alone or the guys keep harassing her right?
I don't quite understand the rationale...Was there initially an imbalance in the ratio between the sexes or something. I mean according to the Bible, women don't count in the geneology unless they were prostitutes. It's all men.
