Since there is so much confusion and so much false doctrine here, let's see what God's word has to say. By "Law", I mean primarily the 10 Commandments. Some believe that all 613 Levitical laws still apply. I suggest that they try to implement them exactly as God commands. That will make for an interesting court case.

"For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world was not given through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who live by the law are heirs, faith is useless and the promise is worthless, because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression." Romans 4:13-15

Is the Law the covenant? Not according to God's word:

"By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." Hebrews 8:13

"........by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace....." Ephesians 2:15

"For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes." Romans 10:4

"So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith." Galatians 3:24

"Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian." Galatians 3:25

"Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately. We realize that law is not enacted for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for killers of father or mother, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave traders and liars and perjurers, and for anyone else who is averse to sound teaching that agrees with the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted." 1 Timothy 1:8-11

A word to the legalists:
Galatians 3:3-5
Are you so foolish? After starting in the Spirit, are you now finishing in the flesh? Have you suffered so much for nothing, if it really was for nothing? Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the law, or because you hear and believe?

I realise that those enslaved by legalism will reject God's word. So my hope is that some who are falling under the SDA spell will be awakened by the truth of God's word.

I will speak about grace in another post.

The 10 commandments express the Moral Law of God, and as such, cannot be abolished. Jesus summed up the Moral Law in the two great commandments, to love God with our whole being and our neighbor as our self. For the Christian, the moral law is fulfilled in and through us, by the Holy Spirit. Rom 8.

Either you live by the law or you live by grace. If you live by the Law, you are cursed. it really is that simple. You obviously do not understand what it means to be born again or the purpose of the Law. You can reject the clear word of God if you wish. that's on you. Good luck trying to justify yourself before God on the basis of how well you've obeyed the commandments.

We are not under moral we are under the law of Christ.

Faith and love!

"so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" Rom 8:4.

What is the Law of Christ? But to love God with all your being and your neighbor as your self.
That is the law.

There is a new commandment and a new covenant.

You will love Jesus now and you will love others as Christ loved you.

Get with it Aussie52, we are a new creation now.

Gentiles were never in covenant to obey Exodus 20 or the two greatest commandments in the law.

You have some work to do.

Thank you!!! I wasn't here 10 minutes on this sight and the law was shoved on me! Anyway I was giving scripture of Grace and got a old testament beating. I have a book from Ray Comfort. The way of the master. Now in this book it has a way of using the law in evangelism to expose the sin to a non believer bringing the sin to their conscience. Paul used the law, prophecy and the truth about Calvary. So if we use it it should be for this. Many other preachers have comments in this book about how the law is essential to draw the sinner out and to repentance and possible salvation

"so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" Rom 8:4.
Paul is actually speaking about the Jews in Romans 8 and has been since Romans 2.

Gentiles were never in covenant to obey the law.

So the law is not actually fulfilled in us because we were never under the law.

Gentiles are GRAFTED into the root which is Christ.

Rome and Egypt were never in covenant with God to obey the ten commandments.

That's a fact.

True. Ya. I remember.

That was an informative post and well written.

To be without law is to be "lawless". This is the heresy of Antinomianism, which means 'without law'. First termed by Martin Luthur and something John Wesley and his associates fought against at the time.
It rebirthed in the Scofield Bible notes and has been popularized by the 'Free Grace" movement.

Jeremiah prophesied that in the New Covenant God would write His Laws upon the human heart.

Ya. That's what that guy was saying to try to tell me we must live the law. Now this is just my opinion, It does help to remember but beating myself up over it is against some scripture. When we are told "Are sins are forgiven, past present and future". Or" As far as easy to west" it's just not right to me to put that on myself feels condemnation. Ad as far as I believe to" there is now no condemnation in Christ Jesus. The Bible says so much. Like knowledge luke 12 47-48. So ya worn is still made right even to us. God loves justice too. Sin is terrible.. Paul says the only way to leave sin is to leave the world. Death I guess? I'm sure you are a long time Christian so I'm going to stop. I'm certain you know what I'm saying. I'm struggling with stuff. The holy Spirit is probably preaching to me and I'm just typing it. Be well and thanks

So did God write the law of Christ on our hearts (fruit of the Holy Spirit).

Or did God write 'thou shall not covet thy neighbors ox' on our heart?

I'm only typing to you once this time only. I don't EVER use ANY SARCASM with GOD'S WORD. I see your name and I'm done with you.
