Correction, you were taught something else not that the scripture says something else.
Because Exodus 24:3-7, is very clear on all the words of the law which Israel was commanded to obey.
You can't get out of this SabbathBlessing.
You cannot annul Exodus 24:3-7.
Game over.
You still go against the words spoken by God and wont listen, and persist in this path.
I write this to warn you in truth. Therefore remember, so that in the day of judgment you may not say that you were not told many times already.
Listen,
Did God treat all of those words the same way?
The answer is no.
There is something God did that He did
only once, and He did it Himself.
In
Exodus 31:18 (KJV) it says:
“And he gave unto Moses… two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”
God did not write the whole law with His finger. He chose
only the Ten Commandments to write Himself.
Then in
Deuteronomy 5:22 (KJV) it says:
“These words the Lord spake… and he added no more.”
This shows that when God spoke the Ten Commandments, He gave a complete set. He did not continue adding to that same covenant.
Now look at how God handled these two things:
The Ten Commandments were placed
inside the ark.
The book written by Moses was placed
beside the ark.
In
Deuteronomy 10:5 (KJV):
“And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark… and there they be.”
But for the written law:
In
Deuteronomy 31:26 (KJV):
“Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark…”
This difference matters. God is showing us something without needing many words.
- What is inside the ark is the very heart of the covenant
- What is beside the ark supports it, explains it, and teaches how to live it out
So when we say, “the Book of the Covenant,” we are talking about a
container of many words, including the covenant and the instructions around it.
But when God says
“the covenant,” He points directly to what He Himself wrote, what He spoke with His own voice, and what He set apart.
This is why Scripture keeps returning to the same simple truth:
In
1 Kings 8:9 (KJV):
“There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone… when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel.”
Nothing else. Only the Ten Commandments are tied directly to the moment God calls “the covenant.”
So in simple words:
The Book of the Covenant is like a full guide given to the people. It includes laws, rules, and instructions that help them live.
But the covenant itself is the
core, the part God did Himself:
- Spoken by His own voice
- Written by His own hand
- Placed inside the ark
- Called by Him “the covenant”
Everything else is built around it.
If we keep this order, everything stays clear. If we mix it, confusion begins.
God did not make it complicated.
He gave the centre first, strong and unchanging, and then gave the rest to guide the people in living it out.
Remember the book of Revelation where the Ark of God's covenant with Man will be seen in heaven, His commandments ( the Covenant ) is eternal this is clearly what the bible texts reveal.
