I would want to try. This is something I am actually very curious about. Over the past month, I have been considering learning how to use them in cooking. However, I am unsure when they should be harvested for the best flavor or which dishes they are best suited for. If you have experience using them, please share your advice!
Whaat, you didn't taste one even as a kid? 😮 I thought most of the Finns would have at least tasted one, or maybe that is just how I grew up .. 😅 licking batteries and such.... 🙈

But I was going to say juniper berries are good with meat, that is what first came to my mind... buuut, for you I don't think that is so much of a help. So, for fish and for cabbage dishes too it goes well. I haven't used it that much, mostly just eaten one from a tree every other year or so. And I have only picked the "ripe" berries that are almost black. My mum uses those to sauerkraut.

You can check more from this finnish site, there are suggestions what those berries go with well:

..and just taste the plain berry from a tree 😁

But the junipers in Northern Europe are not like the junipers here in Texas?

Never had a toffee apple. They look too sticky and painful. I don't like eating whole apples, they are too big for me. I usually cut them up into wedges, and take out the core. Also peel them, if they aren't too fresh.

I don't think I'd ever eat deep fried chocolate/junk food. It would be like eating sugar coated donuts.

"This way lies diabetes."

Would you eat imitation tuna, made with soy protein? I swear that is a real thing. I saw it on the store shelf. No I do not know how it tastes.

Er...no I don't like tuna, so imitation tuna might be even worse.

Would you ever eat kim chi? As that hasn't been answered yet.

Of course I have tasted them :p! It would have been strange if I had not. But I have never made any food with them.

I am actually someone who makes sauerkraut a few times a year. I might try to add a few the next time I make it. And I eat fish several times a week, so I might try to use them there also. I do eat sometimes some meat, but it is mostly when visiting friends, so then it is not me preparing it.

Of course I do eat sauerkraut! I ate it yesterday. It was a simple lunch with boiled eggs, rucola, sauerkraut and oven baked sweet potatoes and some mustard-garlic-mayonnaise. The sweet potatoes I coated with oil, salt, mushroom-soy sauce and garlic powder. They are not burned, even thou they look very dark.

Ah juniper... That takes me right back to when I was playing Kingdom come.

In Skalitz there were two housewives talking about how one of them has a husband who handed her a hare and told her to make something special with it. "But I can't do it in a cream sauce because it gives him gut trouble. He hates the smell of garlic, can't stand mustard and bacon is too common for him."

Her friend advised her that it was all about the seasoning. Just roast it with a bit of lard, same as usual, but add rosemary and juniper. She said she heard about it from a traveling merchant who tried it last time he was in Prague. The merchant said it was delicious.

That was the situation for me too until one year ago 🙈 . Then suddenly something just clicked. I was even surprised myself. 😅
I am not a big fan of store bought sauerkraut, but homemade with caraway I do eat.

Huh nobody knows what huhu grubs are.
Well I don't recall ever eating one, but people say they taste a bit like peanut butter.

Would you ever eat a trumpet?

I have eaten a seahorse.

Guylian chocolates are the best.
I have tried them. Good flavor. No idea what the seahorse shape was about.

Nobody else I know has ever tried them, except of course for you, so that joke may go over a lot of people's heads.
