Your problem is you don't stay on topic. The issue was never about us receiving forgiveness. The question was when did Christ accomplish forgiveness, in His death or His resurrection.

Jesus had no sins to cleanse. Baptism was commanded under the law
(which Jesus fulfilled) for priests. The priesthood has now changed.

His death paid our debt for our sins
But without His rising from death to eternal life we would have no hope of eternal life. that is a paraphrase from Paul.

For a long time the offer was there for me or anyone.the blood payment is already paid .I we just have to claim it.jesus example was go to the water Cleanse heal etc.To give the true baptism as John said it is You Jesus That shall baptize Me
