And what I presented is that there is no place in the Bible where God referred to Esau as being righteous and perfect and none like him in all the earth. That does not fit. There is no place in the Bible where we see Esau offering burnt offerings to God for his children lest they had sinned. Nor is there any prophecy in the Bible where Esau receives a double blessing. What I presented was that Job represented Edom as Jacob represented Israel. Gen 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. Gen 36:1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom. Jacob's name was changed to Israel, and Esau's name was changed to Edom. Gen 35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
Isn't that amazing, Obadiah hit the nail right on the head. Job 41:4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant
for ever? Job 41:34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
It was Job's pride in his own righteousness that brought Job down. Job 40:8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
I have also pointed out that Job is compared to the New Testament ministry by James in chapter 5. Born again Christians who have been given the ministry of reconciliation are not likened to Esau.
