You should start a thread on the book of James.
Job was suffering because of his pride. The book of James does not address pride, but the book of Isaiah does.
Isa 45:8-12 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it. Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!
Let the potsherd
strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? Woe unto him that saith unto
his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? Woe unto him that saith unto
his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I,
even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
Job 3:1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
Job 40:2-7 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct
him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
