When it comes to "Ask and you shall receive".
I heard my preacher before saying if we ask sincerely to the Lord, he will give what we ask because of his promise in Matthew 7:7-8.

That is what I did everytime I pray to the Lord I ask sincerely. But many of my request are not being accepted.
:) we walk by faith not sight not feelings. And we live by faith. Faith the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. We have God that calls those things that be not as though they were. Were told many times in the OT but one is.. delight your self in the lord He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Him and He will bring it to pass. NT Christ aka GOD speaking what ever you desire when you pray believe (faith) you receive it you shall have it. If we know He hears whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions/prayers that we desired of him. You have not because you ask not or you asked wrong.

The point is this one.....But we must ask in faith, doubting nothing, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. or that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord.

See what did God say? What so ever you desire. If I am walking with Him, in Him.. in the spirit living by faith walking by faith....what do you think my desires are? I am content with riches or just making it. In all things I praise Him I glorify Him.. no matter what this life through the enemy tries to touch me or my family.. or my faith.. I stand.. and doing all I will still stand and the enemy has to flee in Jesus name .. Peter and John.. that name faith in that name... healed this man. This song.. His name is JESUS , lord of lords and king of kings, Jesus the name the demons flee.. (song playing now.. take it all back) Love it!

To many times we put God on some time clock. You know I since I was so young always prayed "show me people through your eyes".. Never doubted .. I prayed it and never gave it another thought. He answered that prayer 15years later. Another time.. a pray .. He answered in less then 10min and oh that was awesome so.. wow.

That verse you quoted.. some say it means ask.. and keep on asking.. keep on knocking. Back to Peter and John.. go read it.. did you know they didn't have something extra of God. Christ told them "whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." See that man expected to receive something... Peter and John didn't pray didn't seek didn't Oh Jesus.. heal this poor man.. no just said I don't have any silver or gold but what I do have (you me have the same) in Jesus name. Then later as all the people were amazed at what "they" had done said.. why look at us as if we did this by our own power. That name faith in that name healed this man. Do you see?

We talk about faith ..well kinda here... but if we had just a mustered seed of faith we could move mtn's. He said.. God said "it would have to obey you". That woman.. suffered what 30years.. she said.. if I just touch the hem of His clothes I will be healed. Jesus said.. many times "your faith". All not some things.. all things are possible to them that believe. Sorry but with out faith we can never please Him.

So I pray I try to make sure what I want ..there is something exact or goes in line with Gods word and I pray.. knowing not wondering.. never wondering.. I know He hears me every time I pray every time. I'm no different then most.. doubt comes.. where is it? See He said no.... I rebuke doubt.. I don't receive it. Its like had kidney stones.. these to .. I can't here lol Richard Roberts ..agreed together that if two shall agree... so ever time doubt came or pain.. I remined the enemy what GOD said.. if two shall agree. 3 years later.. two huge came out.. See as a believer follower of Christ.. "Getting what ever I want from GOD"... that thought "never" I mean never comes into my mind. He supplies all of my needs. He wants us to ask of Him.. You so search on this... you find this truth for your self don't believe me..

But when you ask..its like praying for others.. I make sure I have repented of everything.. and any unforgiveness.. to make sure there is nothing between me and God. Its not about being perfect to sinless so then God will answer. We are in right standing with God aka righteousness because we believe in Jesus. So we come boldly before Him..Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Think.. God is not telling you no.. God does not use fear or doubt. If.. that alone.. try it sometime when God talks to you say "if" see what He says. But to run with that.. if by chance He was to say no.. He would show you in His word why and then what you should have said. See I just put what I said in AI to see what it would say.. this is what I wanted to say trying "God's direction is always anchored and verified by His written word"

In the 50's God telling this preacher about the end times.. said keep your eyes on me (Jesus) and stay in my word and you will not be deceived. Its not just quoting His word.. His word can not come back to Him void.. it has to do what He said.. and you must know it.. believe it. You keep it in your heart.. the more you read it.. faith always has to.. come. Faith comes by hearing and Hearing by the word of God. Sorry I said so much.. another reason I don't reply much.. hard to say so little like some of you do.. yet you say so much.. its so wonderful awesome to read

I understand that the word translated "neighbour" can mean various things, certainly not the way we use it (at least in British English) to refer only to the people who live next door to us. Here is the definition I found in my concordance:

1) a neighbour
1a) a friend
1b) any other person, and where two are concerned, the other (thy fellow man, thy neighbour), according to the Jews, any member of the Hebrew nation and commonwealth
1c) according to Christ, any other man irrespective of nation or religion with whom we live or whom we chance to meet

Paul wrote the Christian in Galatia:

(Gal 6:9 NKJV) And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
(Gal 6:10) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

The parable of the Good Samaritan seems to show that by "neighbour", Jesus meant "fellow human being."

We can identify our fellow human being.
We can identify our literal neighbor.

But we can't identify who our neighbor is, whom the law commands us to love just as we love ourselves.
MARK 12:31
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Therefore, whatever we have, we should be willing to share with them and give them the same things we have, as a way of showing that we love them just as we love ourselves.

That is why the Lord Jesus said, "Where is the wisdom that people boast about?" For who can truly explain who our neighbor is the one whom we are commanded to love as we love ourselves? And what kind of love should we show them so that it can be said that we love them as we love ourselves?
1 CORINTHIANS 1:20
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Because people do not truly know the one true God, they unknowingly treat Him like a genie. Whatever they desire, they expect God to grant to them. As a result, it appears as though people think they know better than God. Yet even without our asking, God already knows the things we need in life.
MATTHEW 6:8
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

How can anyone make requests to the Lord God when they do not even know what they ought to ask from Him?
MATTHEW 20:22

22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

That is why, among those whom God has chosen, whenever God gives them a command, they first ask what the Lord God means by it so that they may understand His instructions.

This is what the prophets and the Lord's disciples did.

Precious friend @Godsgood, if I may humbly suggest The Following Scriptures?:

You seem to be claiming that Jesus promised answered prayers, but Paul contradicted the promises of Jesus.

The promises of Jesus are for all His followers, not just the original Jewish disciples.

Paul’s thorn in the flesh is no mystery. He defined it as persecution and associated factors that buffeted him and God would not remove them, they were existing to kept Paul humble.

1 Corinthians 12

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

You haven’t read enough of Scripture to make such an assertion stick. It doesn’t hold. Noah did not ask what God meant by “Build for Me an ark of gopher wood”. Abraham didn’t ask what God meant when He said “Sacrifice him (Isaac) as a burnt offering”. Moses didn’t ask what God meant when He said “Say to Pharaoh, ‘Let My people go!’”

Stop this ignorant practice of reading a single passage and making sweeping declarations.

You boast that you have read the whole holy book. Can you tell us what the Lord Jesus wrote on the ground?
JOHN 8:4-8
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Can you also share here the other things the Lord Jesus did that are not written in the holy book?
JOHN 21:25
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

If you cannot do that, why are you still boasting?

Reading the whole holy book, and even memorizing it, is not the basis for salvation.

Telling the truth is not boasting. I don’t claim to know what Jesus wrote on the ground because it is not recorded in Scripture. Don’t be a twit!

I didn’t say it was. Again you would rather make something up out of thin air than deal with my actual post.

Jesus wrote the names of the assembled accusers who had committed adultery with the woman, starting with the oldest men, which is why they all left, starting with the oldest. They left because the law said both the man and the woman caught in adultery should die by stoning.

John 8

7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”

8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground.

9 But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.

10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”

I didn’t say it was. Again you would rather make something up out of thin air than deal with my actual post.

Telling the truth is not boasting.
Anyone can claim to possess the truth. The scribes and the Pharisees also claimed to have the truth right in front of the Lord Jesus Himself. The same thing is happening among the various groups in Christianity today. Yet the fact that they have four different understandings of the Lord Jesus, resulting in their own doctrines and methods of salvation, is strong evidence that it is easy for people to claim they have the truth.

Just as you are claiming it now.

However, truth comes from God. And that truth is revealed by the Lord Jesus only to His chosen ones who have come to know the one true God (Mark 4:34), not to everyone.
And considering oneself greater than others is not a truth that comes from God. For the truth is that whoever exalts himself will be humbled by God. This is what the elect of God, who are in the truth, seek to avoid.
MATTHEW 23:12
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

That is why God exposes you through your own words. You may claim before men that the truth is in you, but before God, no truth is found in you.

I don’t claim to know what Jesus wrote on the ground because it is not recorded in Scripture. Don’t be a twit!
If you do not know what the Lord Jesus was writing on the ground, that is already strong evidence that your understanding of the Word of God comes only from human wisdom (and therefore lacks the truth). You do not speak with the Lord Jesus in the same way that His chosen ones speak with Him. That is why there is no revelation from God at all.

That is the truth.

I didn’t say it was. Again you would rather make something up out of thin air than deal with my actual post.
Yes, you may not openly say it, but it is the attitude of your heart, to exalt yourself as being wiser than others. That is why you constantly find fault with what others say. And when they do not accept your words, you speak harshly against them. Such behavior is not the mark of God's chosen ones; it is contrary to the truth. How then can you say that you are speaking the truth?

Honestly, my prayers were not answered
this is your problem and I quote you: "This is what I learned before from my religious leader."

Who is your religious leader? Mine is Jesus Christ, I hear his words and no one else, I follow his teachings.

As for prayer, not everyone is answered, God Looks at the heart, He knows us better them ourselves but HE WILL help you if you truly believe that you will receive what you ask for. Perhaps you have a belief that is contrary to scripture? you have to find out why, God does provide. Try and try again with sincerity, God does test us all I assure you. ASK GOD why you were not answered, he will let you know, just listen for the answer it can come in many forms.

Peace

From what I understand from your post, you're saying that you can communicate with the Lord Jesus the same way He communicates with His chosen people. Am I correct?

Jesus wrote the names of the assembled accusers who had committed adultery with the woman, starting with the oldest men, which is why they all left, starting with the oldest. They left because the law said both the man and the woman caught in adultery should die by stoning.

John 8

Therefore you know what Jesus wrote on the ground. Am I correct?

Can you name those assembled accusers as you said Jesus wrote on the ground?

I asked him why I’m not receiving the things I’m asking for as he promised in Matthew 7:7; this is his answer.
Jesus does not provide anything beneficial for the flesh or the body.
Jesus does not provide anything beneficial for the flesh or the body?

Better read the four gospels again. In them you’ll see Jesus healing, granting sight to the blind, raising the dead, feeding thousands of people. Weren’t these beneficial for the flesh?

Jesus said we should pray, “give us this day our daily bread”. Is not bread beneficial for the body?

Jesus wrote on the ground
Therefore you know what Jesus wrote on the ground. correct

Jesus wrote on the ground
This is A trial, for the womans life. The accusers wanted Jesus To be a judge under their law.Insted Jesus Should Us His Judgement. As to writing on the ground and speaking authority .Jesus did two things in His judgement. As Jesus speaking and talking He was writing on All the accusers hearts, their own shame Lifted them out of the trial, oldest to youngest til The trial had no accuser left. The second part of Jesus as true judge is shown to the woman That no accuser and Jesus himself Said ,He does not Accuse her. Done

There is more to related to This age of courts system but that will open to much of posts that would be unessary! I'll say The Person & the man systems has you already at two entities .very similar to wanting Jesus to be the person Judge of man law. No need reply its showing the system then and now .Either of men kawy Or the righteous judgement Jesus showed Now and Forever
Enjoy

did yo notice in scripture when Jesus died that there was a earthquake and that the veil of the temple was rent in 2? do you know the significance?

Can we focus first on your previous post to make sure I understood it correctly before we discuss other verses?

From what I understand from your post, you're saying that you can communicate with the Lord Jesus the same way He communicates with His chosen people. Am I correct?

Is my understanding correct?

Jesus does not provide anything beneficial for the flesh or the body?

Jesus said we should pray, “give us this day our daily bread”. Is not bread beneficial for the body?

When I asked the Lord Jesus, He Himself answered whether the benefit of His words is for the flesh or for the spirit.
JOHN 6:63
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I cannot disagree with what He said. Can you?

Yes, according to our apparent understanding, He healed many different kinds of diseases. But did He do so literally? Perhaps it is not for us to decide, for the Lord does not want us to depend on our own understanding when interpreting God's words.
PROVERBS 3:5
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

And the preachers of the various groups in Christianity today have used their own minds and personal understanding to interpret the words of God. That is why they believe that the healing being referred to is the healing of physical illnesses or diseases of the body.

However, the fact that they do not agree on a single understanding of the Lord Jesus, resulting in their own distinct doctrines and methods of salvation, is already strong evidence that this is not the message that the Lord Jesus intended to convey.
Therefore, it is not in accordance with the truth.

If healing physical illnesses of the body is what is in accordance with the truth, then how can we make true the Lord Jesus’ statement that those He has chosen will do greater works than He did?
Let us remember that, according to human understanding,
He raised Lazarus from the dead. Who can do anything greater than that?
JOHN 14:12
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Do you know anyone who claims to be a follower of the Lord Jesus and has done greater works than He did? But I am certain that this was done by those He chose, as the fulfillment of His promise.

Who are the neighbors referred to in Mark 12:31 who are to be loved as oneself?
It is already a week when I posted this question.

However, no one is able to provide a clear answer to this question. This serves as proof that human understanding alone is insufficient, even if one reads the entire Holy Book, memorizes it, or studies it for 5 to 10 years.

It now appears that Mark 12:29–31 can only be fulfilled through the grace that comes from the Lord God.

For if Mark 12:29 is not fulfilled, then Mark 12:30 will also not be fulfilled.
And if Mark 12:30 is not fulfilled, then Mark 12:31 will also not be fulfilled.
The Lord Jesus said that the commandments in Mark 12:29–31 are the greatest of all the commandments.

To fully understand what God is referring to, He provided a basis. "I have spoken of earthly things so that you may understand heavenly things."
JOHN 3:12
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

In earthly terms, we can compare Mark 12:29–31 to studying in school.
Mark 12:29 is like Primary Education.
Mark 12:30 is like Secondary Education.
Mark 12:31 is like College Education.
You cannot proceed to Secondary school without passing Primary. Likewise, you cannot proceed to College without passing Secondary.
But once the college degree is completed, one can be considered a professional; and in a spiritual sense, one may be able to be with the Lord God in eternal life.

However, the Lord Jesus said that if even one of the commandments is not fulfilled, it is as if all the commandments have been broken
JAMES 2:10
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
