We agreed that the metaphor "virgin means "saints washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. And that was a good start. But then you went to "oil meaning the Holy Ghost. And I pointed out that the Holy Ghost can not be purchased. Therefore, since the oil is purchased, then the oil can not be the Holy Ghost.
Yet, you still hold the position that God can be purchased. However, since God cannot be purchased, then the oil can not be the Holy Ghost.
That which can be purchased is food. So the oil in the lamps is food to survive the famine.
In Rev. 19:1-21 John heard the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting praise to God for His just judgments, which included condemnation of the great prostitute who corrupted the earth and murdered those who served God (Rev. 17:1-6, 18:2-24). The 24 elders and four living creatures (Rev. 4:4-10, 5:6, 7:11, 11:16) also worshipped God and cried, “Amen, Hallelujah!”
Then a voice from the throne urged God’s servants to praise Him, and a multitude glorified God because the wedding of the Lamb has come (cf. Matt. 22:1-14), and the bride is the saints (cf. 2Cor. 11:2, Eph. 5:25-27, Isa. 54:5). An angel said, “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” John fell at his feet, but the angel told him to worship God (cf. Acts 14:11-13), whose testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (cf. Matt. 11:13, Luke 24:44-45, John 5:39-40&46, 2Pet. 1:21).
Then John saw a white horse, whose rider was called Faithful and True (Rev. 3:14), who conducts just war (cf. Eccl. 3:8), who was dressed in a robe dipped in blood (Matt. 26:28, Rom. 5:9, Col. 1:20, Heb. 9:22, 1Pet. 1:18-19, 1John 1:7), and whose name is the Word of God (John 1:1-14). Armies from heaven followed him, and out of his mouth came a sharp sword (Eph. 6:7, Heb. 4:12). He will rule the nations with an iron scepter (Rev. 2:27, 12:5, Psa. 2:9)
He trod the winepress of God’s wrath (Isa. 63:3, Rev. 14:19-20), and on his robe and thigh was written the name, “King of kings and Lord of lords” (cf. 1Tim. 6:15, Rev. 17:14). An angel cried out an invitation to come to the supper of God and eat the flesh of ungodly people (cf. Psa. 14:4, 27:2, Micah 3:2-3).
Finally, John saw a beast with the armies of the kings of the earth gathered to make war against the rider on the white horse (cf. Matt. 24:6-8, Rev. 16:14, 20:7-8, Zech. 14:1-3), but he was captured along with the false prophet who had performed miracles on his behalf, which deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshipped his image (Rev. 13:11-15, 16:13-14). The beast and false prophet were thrown into the fiery lake (Rev. 20:10), and the rest were killed by the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the white horse (Rev. 1:16).
And that is an interpretation. But if the five wise told the five foolish to go and buy from those who sell, then what are they buying? It is not the Holy Ghost.
I suppose it could be considered that way. But if the door is shut and you are inside, then you need food.

Rev 3;18
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Spin it and degrade it as you must.
No way will you ever understand it.

The Holy Ghost can not be purchased so gold must be food. You must use pure food with God or he will be against you"

when considering the metals, gold is the highest in the order. So, gold tried in the fire is the saints of God tried in the fire. It follows that the individual buying the gold is working to save souls too God.
Likewise, the purchase of food saves individuals through the famine. Can you not see the famine coming?
Oh. You think that you will not need food when the famine comes. It only applies to those other people, because they are not as good as you at following Jesus Christ. So you will be taken on a pre-tribulation rapture, and they will not.
Again, the beginning event where individuals are taken is the exodus (Rev. 12:6).
Then comes the harvest ending the 3.5 year tribulation (Rev. 12:7-13)
Then comes the harvest in the 3.5 year judgment (Rev. 17:14)
I realize that you can not see this. So when the events begin then have some food in your home and stay close to the Savior.
The parable has components.
Changing them is what people do.
They NEED them changed.
That is WHY they do it.
In the virgin parable oil is a type of the Holy Spirit.
Oil is a fuel.
Oil for light.
Oil for illumination.
Extra Oil, as in the extra impartation we see I'm the book of acts.
Oil being transferred from one vessel to another, as is demonstrated in the book of acts.
To then make all that cast down, to simply invent "food" as a wild guess, would be like Jesus saying,"if you have the wrong food (or run out of food), you can not enter the wedding."
Flat out bizarre friend.
But be of good cheer, your colleagues have never honestly interpreted the parable either....actually they can not do it.
Comical how creative they get with it.
But it reveals how off you and they are.
It is way over your head.
" Gold" , in Jesus command, is used as a type.
So without context, making it mean whatever suits you, is where you are guaranteed error.
Every parable leans towards simplicity.
Every parable has a message.
(A story within a story).
"Buy" in both examples is "get".
In a purchase I trade money or items or service for something.
IOW, I have a sacrifice of something to get something.
With the virgins, 5 made the sacrifice,5 did not.
With the loss of the first love, those that DID NOT LOSE THEIR FIRST LOVE, "PURCHASED" A PRICELESS POSSESSION.
That is how they MAINTAINED their first love.
It cost something to keep the fire of God active in one's life.
You just reckless say, "I know you can't see this", while butchering the two analogies and have no clue as to the message in either example.
Oh the irony.

The backdrop to ltl confusion is, if oil represents the Holy Spirit, then it destroys the postrib doctrine.
That is WHY he can not , and never will even test fit "Holy Spirit" into the oil analogy.
It is a no brainer, but forces the postribber to actually change the bible.

I see your oil means energy for light info. And there is nothing wrong with that interpertation. But it is elementary to the larger picture of going to buy from those who sell. And when they went to buy, time was up.
So, the watcher needs to be ready. Meaning, food in your home so that you do not starve.
But in a way it does not matter. Because if you do not have food in your home, or even if you do, you fail to accept the leadership of the Davidic King apointed by the Savior. So you need to stay strong in your testimony and encourage others to do the same.
However, all is not lost. You can see the Davidic King referenced in Rev. 15:3 as the Moses of our time. Also, John accepts the assignment in Rev. 10. Clearly John the Apostle is the Savior's apointed Davidic King. So if you are in line with his teachings then you may be protected under the Davidic Covenant.
From the cross the Savior designated John as a Son of Mary. The woman on the earth having the birthright and her oldes son was the Davidic King. And when that Son dies, then the throne goes to her next son in line which is John. And as you may know that John has been blessed by the Savior to live till he comes again. So, John is the King over Israel today. And since you are not one of his people then you will not survive the coming events. Yet. there is still time. Do not delay.

BTW, the ones with the extra Oil ADVISED the foolish to go get their own.
The inference is that it could be imparted or transferred.
You miss the bigger picture.
The parable is Jesus coming and gathering His bride.
The picture as a whole is that gathering, with ONLY THOSE WORTHY being able to depart with Jesus.
Wow...what a coincidence that it mirrors the pretrib rapture doctrine.
Your model, that you .are up, is your portion.
BECAUSE THOSE THAT WENT AND BOUGHT "FOOD"( AS YOU INSERT), WERE LEFT WANTING. WERE NOT WORTHY.

You are blind and can not see.
The parable is not about Jesus coming, but his servant.
And why? Because Jesus' door is open for all to come.
Yet, his servant closes the door in defense. That is what Psalm 118 is all about.
And I have tried to explain this in terms that you should be able to understand, but you can not.
John is the Davidic King for our time. He is a servant of Jesus Christ. He wrote in his Revelation that he accepted the call (Rev. 10).
But you can not see these things. You are blind to these prophecies. And that is okay. It is the limit of where you can go. And there is nothing wrong with that. You are not teachable to these greater truths.
The Parable of The Ten Virgins
Then shall the kingdom of heaven (on the earth) be likened unto ten virgins (a tithe of the church), which took their lamps (light of Christ), and went forth to meet the bridegroom (the Davidic King).
2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3They that were foolish took their lamps (light of Christ), and took no oil (nothing to sustain the light of Christ) with them:
4But the wise took oil (food) in their vessels (homes) with their lamps (light of Christ).
5While the bridegroom (The Davidic King John) tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6And at midnight (the change from the 6th millennium to the 7th) there was a cry (announcement) made, Behold, the bridegroom (the Davidic King John) cometh; go ye out to meet him (John).
7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps (dialed in their prayers to go with John).
8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil (food); for our lamps (light of Christ) are gone out (because they are starving to death)
9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom (the Davidic King John) came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage (to the marriage, they went on the journey to the marriage): and the door was shut (the invitation was over).
11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not (I do not know you, because you are not mine. You do not belong to the Davidic King John).
13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh (When the Savior sends his servant John to gather saints to go to the wedding. This is the exodus of Rev. 12:6).

19 Pre-millennium. The marriage supper. The separation of wheat and tares. Those that are in Christ to the first resurrection. Those left are the tares fitted for destruction. The beast and the false prophet thrown into the lake of fire. The dragon placed in the pit with chains on.
20-22 Post-millennium. The second resurrection. The resurrection of the dead who were not in Christ. The release of the Dragon from the pit.
1Pe 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

The one who serves the eternal King Jesus is his Davidic King John.
1) the saints in their homes
2) John takes them on an exodus
Do you have food and water in your home?
This is what the false rapture doctrine is wrapped around. The saints are taken on an exodus in the beginning. Then at the end of the seven years they are taken off the planet.
